Surfside Bar & Restaurant
The venue is equipped with five monitors and during big events two more monitors along with a 20 foot screen are added. The open air concept allows you to watch your favorite sport while enjoying the fresh ocean breeze.
In the evenings, Surfside transforms into an elegant seaside dining experience that is unsurpassed and cannot be matched. There is a vast selection of meal items with something for everyone. The variety ranges from seafood to vegetarian selections!
I had the catch of the day swordfish...fried...perhaps the best fish I have had in the past two weeks on the island. Well season and delicately cooked with a generous portion paired with rice and grilled local veggies. Surfside is always casual and the kitchen can sometimes be slow however the fish entrees are typically very good. Tonight the service was quick although it was a light night for patrons. All in all a meal to remember. On a side note our reservation although confirmed by this app was not evident when we arrived.
It is an easily accessible option for a good lunch on the beach. The service is a little spotty. In order the catch of the day which was meant to come with chips/fries and salad. The salad was no more than a garnish which was disappointing. The fish was well prepared and very fresh. I would manage my expectations and go back again because of the location and convenience.
Overall great bajan food. The kitchen is a bit slow but the food was worth the wait. Good fresh fish and local veggies.
The problem was that the restaurant is not set up to accept the openreach bookings so when we got there they had no reservation for us.
We got a table about 45 mins after our reserved time as they were as helpful as they could be.
The food was lovely, it's a very casual place but on Sunday they have a steel band which was great. Service was good. Wouldn't say the staff were friendly as such but they were helpful and polite, so couldn't really complain.
Only for views and there rum punch, do not pick up email bookings and food was not great.
This is a great place by the sea, the staff are friendly and the food is good too. A nice relaxing evening, and we will go again.
Food was absolutely terrible. Way overpriced. Odd smell to the place
Really not great. Food was marginal. On the beach maybe good for a beer.
Can’t actually give a review on the food quality, because we never ate. We had dinner reservations, and the restaurant was out of half the menu. After placing our order and waiting 40 minutes, we were notified that an item we ordered was also unavailable, and that our food had not even been started. The service was very poor, and I would not recommend for dinner. Atmosphere was nice being on the beach but that was it.
Fantastic food and great music!
No booking for us as the football was on. They should have told us at the time of booking there wouldn’t be a table for us. A compete waste of time.
Been coming here for 20 years. Sunday is best day for evening meal as steel band playing and makes ambience feel truly bajan
Only criticism I had the pork chop and mashed potatoes and few veg would have preferred more veg and half the portion of mashed potato
Our last evening in Barbados and we wanted to have Bajan cooking and particularly the best Fish cakes on the island all topped off with delicious rum punch - a great meal!
Wanted a local sports bar to watch Eagles play in US football semifinals. Also wanted to watch sunset on the beach! Soccer was on big screen- manager agreed to put football on 2 smaller bar screens. Only a few other Yanks there, but it was fun! Food was good too- a great pork chop and a roti! Definitely would go back.
