A great spin on Southern cuisine. We had a bit of everything: pimento cheese wontons, cornbread, egg rolls, pulled pork, chicken and bourbon chocolate pecan pie. Everything was fantastic. Great, attentive service too!

One of the best bbq places I’ve ever been in my life. If it’s your first time order the BBQ Omakase along with half a bird . You won’t regret it . Can’t wait to go back to Atlanta next month and visit this joint again.

Out of all the choices for BBQ in Atlanta I would not return. It has interesting takes on some Asian fusion items but they weren't a home run for me. Not to mention the sides were also lack luster. I always try to find the positive in something but I just can't.

Our food took almost an hour, so late that we had to grab it to go in the end because we had an event to get to down the street that was about to start. The brisket was okay but super dry and kinda seemed like it had just been sitting for a while. Rest of the food was also just okay. The place was not busy, so I have no idea why this took so long or why the food was lukewarm. There are so many other great restaurants in the area, this will likely not be our choice next time.

We saw this restaurant on BBQ cook off and my husband was hooked. We had family in town so we decided to give it a try. We wanted somewhere that was kid friendly and that was hard to find. The ambience was amazing, music was dope, parking convenient and service timely. The food was AMAZING. I haven’t eaten out recently where all my food arrived hot. I ordered the pulled chicken, collards and Mac n cheese. It was so much food and very flavorful. My husband got the tacos, daughter got the pulled pork. Everybody enjoyed their food. We got the banana pudding for desert and pecan pie. The food was worth the money and it was very affordable. Lastly, I haven’t experienced a restaurant that charges a % for the cooks. I actually think that’s a pretty cool idea since they are cooking the food. I definitely recommend

Food was not great. Been here a million times and had been some great intown BBQ. Not sure what happened. Chicken wings and ribs were very dry. Over seasoned and sauced. Tasted like someone reheated some old food. Took 40 minutes for kids mac and cheese to arrive, and it arrived cold. Service was friendly and drinks were solid but need to work on the food. Hope they can turn it around.

We have been going to Sweet Auburn for over 10 years (more if you count the downtown location). This was disappointing and it’s not a one off. We had a similar experience a few months ago but figured it was just an off night for the place. It wasn’t. First, the front door staff do not know how the reservation system works. They assumed there were no available tables and sent us and the group after us away mentioning we should’ve used OpenTable. We left thinking they were right but on the way to the car I checked OpenTable and was able to make a reservation for right then. Walked back in and they seated us after needing Cam to help them. Our server Zuri was very pleasant but the service was slow due to the kitchen not her. Our food was cold. Had to send it back. The brisket has good flavor but it was dry and this was the case last time we ate at SA. Sweet bbq wings were tasty but the garlic parm wings were dry. Wings were also served cold. We received two cake slices on time but the Chinese donuts arrived 15 minutes later and then the pecan pie was going to take yer another 10 min according to Zuri so we cancelled it. I really don’t like leaving negative reviews but I expect better from what used to be a top BBQ restaurant in Atlanta for $220.
