SY23 Restaurant is headed up by chef Nathan Davies, shortly after the opening Nathan & the SY23 team received a Michelin star and Great Britain & Northern Ireland's Opening of the Year by the Michelin guide & became one of the Good Food Guides ‘Top 20 Most Exciting Restaurants’ in 2022 also joining the National Restaurant award's Top 100 UK Restaurants in 2023.
The small and intimate dining room has minimalistic decor, natural wooden tables and the kitchen as a focal point for diners to enjoy seeing the kitchen team in full flow on the first floor and the bar is situated on the ground floor for a pre/post dinner drink.
The food here at SY23 Restaurant celebrates the wonderful ingredients found on our door step on the coast of West Wales with fish & shellfish from the local fishing boats & lamb from the surrounding hillside appearing on the menu, all cooked over the open fire that sits in the heart of the kitchen.

    Taster menu at SY23 Restaurant £135 per person, we require a £35 per person deposit when booking. For all allergies/dietary requirements please contact us on reservations@sy23restaurant.com before booking as there are some allergies/restrictions we are unable to cater for. SY23 Restaurant celebrates the wonderful ingredients found on our door step, the team prepare a 10-12 course fixed taster menu using the best local ingredients from the seaweeds and foraged goods that the chef's pick themselves, to the soft fruits grown just a couple of miles away, the cheese and fresh milk from our friends in nearby villages all go into producing a menu that celebrates our abundance of fantastic produce. We do not offer a vegetarian menu.

    Friday lunch at SY23 Restaurant for the month of October only is now £100 per person for our tasting menu, October in our lovely little part of Wild West wales is notoriously quieter for us so make the most of it and join Nathan and the team for lunch on a Friday for £100 per person, enjoy the 10 + course tasting menu cooked over the fire utilising some of the best produce available from the area and a few treats from further afield making it perfect for a special occasion, end of week treat or just and excuse to visit this beautiful part of the world and enjoy a Michelin starred lunch.

    The food was fantastic and a great pleasure. The service was good but variable depending on the persons. The background music was too loud. When we have a fine dining experience, we are used to and expect to be able to easily converse with each other at the table.

    The whole experience from start to finish was delightful. The intimate surroundings added to the ambiance that was evident throughout the night. The meal selections were well thought out and exemplified the nights theme of a tasting menu. Local dishes (literally) along with locally sourced ingredients added to the nights experience. Notwithstanding the assistance given by the very well versed waiters this was a night to remember.

    Absolutely amazing lunch! Food was outstanding. Had some lovely cocktails to start and then a bottle of wine. Service was faultless. Every dish explained. Highlights were the mushroom and turbot dishes.

    Some wonderful flavour combinations in the 12 course taster menu. Just a couple of dishes didn't quite work for me. But overall an excellent dining adventure. Happy to recommend.

    Nice vibe and not pretentious. Food was superb and service good. Our table was facing a window, around a corner and with our back to everything it was difficult to enjoy the ambience. One tip, hold onto that nice bread as the optional cheese dish comes with none!

    What an experience and privilege it was on Saturday to observe and enjoy the magical food on offer. Nathan and his team were fantastic from start to finish. A night my wife and I won’t forget.

    A one-stop food festival. All dishes were interesting, and some outstanding, although in some cases the mixing of multiple diverse ingredients overpowered the taste of the individual components. Thw wine-pairing was excellent.

    If you want a superb culinary experience then you must dine at SY23. The food taste and presentation was exceptional and the service beyond question the best. Everyone should give this restaurant the test as we felt it was a privilege to be able to obtain a reservation.
