Great service and a lovely opportunity to expose out-of-town friends to creole and Cajun cuisine. Unpretentious and not touristy for a French Quarter location.

Our lunch at Tableau was a little disappointing. French Onion soup was fine, nothing special, not a lot of flavor when it was supposed to be "Creole" (which the waiter said meant it had more flavor). The Croque Madame (I got it without egg so Monsieur) which is a favorite of mine, was not good and I sent it back. Bread was black on the edges and the sauce (my favorite part usually) had an odd flavor. I ordered the Crab Claws instead and they were strange. Cold, and supposed to be vinaigrette, but had no vinegar flavor at all, mostly just oily. The Creme Brulee they brought out for our anniversary saved the meal, it was AMAZING. Probably overall, our least favorite meal while in New Orleans, but the creme brulee saved it!

The food was truly terrible. Clearly a restaurant trading on the Brennan’s name and catering to tourists without actually caring about the quality of the meal whatsoever.

Our first time dining at Tableau. We enjoyed excellent service and a delicious meal - oyster & crab claw appetizers, the fresh catch and the duck breasts paired with good wine. I would definitely recommend for anyone visiting the French Quarter.

The food and wine was great, highly recommend the truffle crab claws for an appetizer. We were seated on the balcony which was really nice atmosphere. The service was a bit slow but the waiter seemed to be the only server for the whole balcony section so I understood it was likely out of his control. The lady at the table next to us had a dog in a backpack that kept barking which was a little annoying since it is a nicer place. Overall a good experience and I would return again if I was in New Orleans.

The menu was very small and didn’t have much of a variety. The entrees didn’t look appealing to me or my guest so we ordered appetizers. The appetizers were very small but tasty. One had 4 pieces of shrimp, the other had a small sauce bowl of tiny crab claws. Also, being in the gorgeous Jackson square we wanted to take a picture on the balcony. We had to move a chair out of the picture for less than a minute and the server rudely shoved the chair knocking my friends phone onto the ground and said “don’t block the walkways”. As I said, it was less than a minute so that seemed very harsh. However, the dessert and drinks were delicious.

I was in Nola for a wedding weekend. Tableau’s food was average. It is no longer a landmark in Nola. The duck I ordered was poorly executed: raw and the fat was a little gross. I have never eaten a roasted duck with raw skin. Our server was rude and brooming vacuuming at the adjacent table. Super expensive.

The food wasn’t out of this world so we felt a bit disappointed with the price point for the meal but was definitely still great on flavor- 10/10 would come back again for our server alone she was a pleasure to be around.

Birthday dinner for my husband. We had a great waitress she was absolutely amazing. The overall experience was good however, when we sat down the chairs were broken and we almost fell through. I understand that it’s an older hotel and building but you would think that they could update the chairs things like that to keep things in good condition. The food and service was top-notch. Very enjoyable. We had the Gulf-fish Almandine, turtle soup, French onion soup and the cheesecake dessert.

The small amount of crab topping offered as an add-on wasn't worth it. The fish entree was $32 and a little crab on top was $16 more. At $32 either include it or don't, I felt that cost was excessive. That I aside, we had a very nice time and the food and atmosphere were excellent.

Today's brunch was by far the best dining experience since I have been in New Orleans. The atmosphere was elegant, the staff was superb, and the food ... OMFG!!! My favorite item was the poached and fried oysters with brie, ciabatta, cherry wood bacon, honey crisp apples, Herbsaint cream. It was heavenly!!! The eggs Tableau were an amazing twist on traditional eggs Benedict. Local tasso replaced Canadian bacon and the pepper jelly gave it some Crescent City personality. If you haven't tried tasso, try it whenever you are in NOLA. The creme brulee was a masterpiece. And James. My server was first class all the way. Check out Tableau. I promise you will love it!!!

It was interesting going there during Essence fest weekend. I expected a boisterous and energetic experience, but it was DEAD inside there. We were sat upstairs completely alone which was sort of cool? But then shortly after a couple with a noisy baby was sat RIGHT behind us. The app and soup were so so, but the bouillabaisse was quite tasty. The bus "boy" was actually an older man, like a character from the Adams family, lurking around our table without making eye contact and seemed to have 0 people skills. Creepy! Didnt love it here, not sure Ill come back again. It was my birthday and it would have been nice to have that acknowledged by our server.

Having been out first time dining at Tableau, the restaurant is indeed beautifully designed, had very friendly and interactive staff and the food and drinks ordered were delicious. We drove into Nola for restaurant week and chose to dine at Antoine’s, Mr. B’s and Tableau. I’ve eaten at the first two dozens of times and was surprised (pleasantly) to find that Tableau was by far the best. All too often restaurant week is a bait-and-switch situation where the best dishes are never on the prix fixe menu. Such was not the case with Tableau as each dish was spot on, with intense flavor. The maison salad and amandine were excellent, but the tarte a la bouille dessert was the star of the show, with an intense vanilla custard in a light floury torte. I almost wanted to order an extra one. The only negative of Tableau was that our waitress was ALSO the bartender, who was overwhelmed by the number of people at the bar and lined up behind it. While she did an admirable job of running back and forth, it definitely was not the level of service one would expect at a Ralph Brennan restaurant. Again… this appears to be the fault of staffing shortages, and not poor service on the part of our waitress/bartender. Aside from that, the atmosphere was beyond amazing! Three different 2nd lines paraded past during our meal, and the soaring ceilings and history of the building elevated and excellent meal even further. Looking forward to going back soon! PS Since beginning this review, we found out that our waitress decided to add an extra $4 onto her tip after we left. You’ve been warned
