Best Indian food in Montreal. Chicken Dhansak and Tandoori shrimp are really great. Perfect meal on a cold night.

I came here with my husband and my parents on Labor day weekend. So I guess we were prepared for service to be slow. But the restaurant was not busy, may be just a few tables were occupied. However, there was just one person who was waiting at all the tables so it took a while before she even came back with water after showing us our table. It was a while before she was back to take our orders and I think she only stopped because one of us drew her attention after we were tired of waiting. The food portions were super small. The individual portions as well as the entrees which were supposed to be bigger for sharing were small. I have honestly not seen many places with such small portions for the price in other Indian restaurants. The rotis in sharp contrast were super big but they felt more like dried pita bread than like North Indian rotis. The chana masala had two big chunks of tomatoes which was unusual for the preparation which has tomato sauce in the gravy but not entire chunks of tomatoes. We appreciate that the place was open at the late hour that we were there and the lady waiting all the tables was nice to talk to but just had too much to do. Definitely won't be going back.

My husband & I went on a Saturday night. We were there around 7ish. There was one table occupied. The 2 people left while we were eating. Nobody else came into the restaurant while we were there.......a little creepy. The service was great - there was nothing else for them to do!!!! Mostly everything we ordered was quite good but the butter chicken was nothing special - have had butter chicken that was way better at every other Indian restaurant!!!!!
