Homed in a former merchants building in the heart of York. While retaining the original industrial charm of the building we have created a new balcony that is a real sun trap for those summer days and nights.

Our drinks menu showcases regional brews such as Brew York and Ilkley Pale, trendy craft beers, cask ales such as Black Sheep and Roosters and is the first northern bar to feature big tanks of Meantime's Brewery Fresh!

We also offer a wide range of gins that include regional favourites, Yorkshire Dales Distillery alongside classic blends like Slingsby. Customers will also have the opportunity to experience Gin masterclasses, learning all there is to know about the spirit, how to select the right garnishes and how to recreate their favourite tipples.

One of the best bars we went to during our trip to York. We had pizzas and they were delicious. They have 2-4-1 cocktails that are yummy and lots of beer selections. The atmosphere was great and the staff were amazing, it was very busy when we went but that didn’t seem to phase the staff. We will be visiting again!

Even though we had a confirmed reservation through Open Table, the restaurant didn’t have us booked in as they don’t use this service. We ordered a starter to share and 2 main courses but all the food arrived at the same time and when we questioned it we were informed they don’t do starters. Busy pub which is not dissimilar to Wetherspoons. Disappointed!

Didn’t have our booking which wasn’t a good start. To be fair, made the effort to give us a table but it was right by the open door to the smoking area and so it was freezing and smelled of cigarette smoke. Didn’t bother even ordering food and went elsewhere.

Booking was easy. First impressions when entering restaurant/ bar was that it was more a bar than restaurant, very noisy but once through to restaurant it was ok. Service good and food very good and reasonably priced. Would go again. ( It was Friday night so may be much quiter at other times)

A nice meal. Staff were excellent as we and another three folk were the only diners. Beautiful place to eat and lovely views over the river. One fault - I ordered the steak and ale pie - the pastry was far too hard and it contained mushrooms which was not noted on the menu. I would have chosen something else.

After visiting here, Twice last year and having good food both times, we decided to book for my husbands birthday!!! They had no balsamic for the dipping bread. It just tasted like cooking oil, not olive oil. After asking for some balsamic, we were told someone would go to the shop for some!!! Both myself and my daughter, Ordered the chicken skewer. It looked good,, although a bit too charred for me. I poured what was supposed to be the “garlic butter on the top to flavour the meat before I realised this was not butter or garlic!!! After complaining, I was assured it was garlic butter! But I persisted and was told they’d run out of garlic butter! As I’d already poured it onto my meat, it tasted dreadful, so oily. My daughter in law mentioned her gnocchi was also tasteless. Also the chips were dry. On complaining They offered us 10% off the bill and a free drink. My son in law wasn’t happy with this and said that our 2 meals should be knocked off the bill. They did agree to this and also gave us a free drink. I was just disappointed that I didn’t enjoy and couldn’t finish my meal. I believe the rest of the party were satisfied with their choices.

It is a very nice restaurant with great views of the river. However, the food was ok, it wasn't great and we didn't get checked upon. It felt like we got forgotton about when it got busy.

My boyfriend and I had a 7pm booking at Missoula Montana for Valentine’s Day, turned up a little early to have a drink beforehand and we were seated already by 6:30pm. The service was absolutely excellent - especially from Lilith. She was very polite and always made sure everything was okay for us. The food was absolutely delicious; service was super quick. Overall would definitely recommend this place to anyone - becoming one of my favourite bars in York!

Me and my wife visited on Saturday and were greeted immediately by friendly staff that made us feel welcomed. After being shown to our table which gave me a picturesque view of the river and also my wife, we ordered cocktails which were brought over with outstanding speed. Our starter was AMAZING, we shared nachos that captured all 10,000 taste buds with the cool guac and spicy salsa and chillies. Our mains were DIVINE and not only that I was in disbelief when I saw the bill, I even said to my wife "wow honey, look at that, such great value!" - to which she of course agreed. You can most definitely expect us back the next time we visit York and I would definitely recommend my tremendous experience to other. Bravo Missoula, bravo.

Came here as we had been to the Christmas markets and sampled lots of street food. We didn’t fancy a sit down heavy meal and was looking for a bite to eat in more casual surroundings. The menu was appetising, we ended up going for a sharing platter which was tasty, cocktails were delicious and on a BOGOF deal. The bar area gets very busy so would advise booking a table if you wanted to eat away from all the hustle and bustle. Our waitress was extremely friendly, food was hot and we were served promptly. Would come here again.

As visitors to York, It was easy to book on line We didn't know what to expect but it was even better than we hoped! A really relaxed, unrushed meal. The lady who waited on our table was brilliant. It seemed she couldn't do enough for us, ( without being pushy or "in our face"). We thought there was a good varied menu, both for starters & main course, the difficulty was deciding what option to go for! Sadly we were too full to have a dessert. Wish we were more local as we would really enjoy trying the rest of the menu (more than a few times!!!!) Incidentally, my husband uses a wheelchair & access couldn't have been easier.

In general the food was good. I’m gluten intolerant so had limited options. Waitress was completely clueless to what gluten alergy meant and after starting to make wild and very wrong recommendations I had to specifically ask her to check with the chef. She then brought out a full book of data for each item for me to check myself and walked away. The experience was not only dangerous from an allergy perspective but unpleasant. A quick and simple fix surely is to print a gluten free menu and train the staff???
