It was a special occasion for me and the restaurant did nothing to make it special. The food was mediocre and over priced. If I wanted basic Chinese food I could have gone anywhere. Disappointing as this was a big deal for me to finish my cancer treatments and celebrate.

We were "offline" visitors and so glad we chose this restaurant! It has been around since approx. 2017 and we had eaten nearby at a sister restaurant many times but didn't try this. There were 4 of us with drinks, lots of appetizers (which were very filling) and 2 entrees, we still left for just about $100 a couple. We will definitely be back!

Maybe we could have ordered better, but Dim Sum here meant "appetizers." and 2 out of the 3 we ordered were deep fried. The staff was great, but the food did not match the price. The worst was that we had booked the Indian restaurant next door but we were mysteriously switched to Tansuo. We had come a long way and were willing to give it a shot. Some may like it, but out of everything we tried (several dishes between 5 of us) we were just not wowed. I loved it for a date spot, but I would only come for a drink first and then think about eating next door. I do now realize they are owned by the same organization.

This was a hit and miss experience for us. Simply put, the "Signature dish" that is titled forbidden lobster was fishy, mushy, and just not good at all. On the other hand, the General Tso's chicken was the best General Tso's I've ever had in my life (and I've had a lot!). The wait to get a cocktail each time was exorbitant. So much so we nearly just canceled the last one because it took over 15 minutes and we had to ask about it. on the other hand, their signature martini was really good (that's why I wanted another one). We would definitely go again but just avoid the signature dish and stick with the classics.

My boyfriend and I had the most incredible experience at Tansuo! He has several food allergies so he had never eaten at a Chinese restaurant until dining at Tansuo. We were hopeful he would be able to safely eat at Tansuo and our expectations were exceeded. The kitchen accommodated his food allergies without hesitation. Our server Elena was personable and made our date night so special. Everything was delicious and the presentation was stunning. We will definitely be going back!! Maneet Chauhan really outdid herself!

We expected more, as we've always enjoyed the offerings at other Chauhan establishments. While i loved the ambiance in a small dining nook, it was overpriced mediocre "asian" food. We tried 4 dishes: 1 app,2 mains, a side and 2 cocktails The side of Brussels was the favorite, which wasn't even Asian. The dumplings were tender but lacking in chili & garlic. The Dan Dan noodles were flavorful, but over cooked. The shrimp and chicken in the Hokkien fried rice were tough & overcooked and lacked general overall flavor. Ive had better food at strip mall joints for far less than HALF the price. $118 excluding tip. Maneet unfortunately completely missed the mark.

Opened in 2017 by an NYC trained chef. Pushing the envelope on Chinese cuisine which is highly developed over the centuries. But here, those dreams have turned into typical, Americanized, Chinese grub. The Chef actually offered authentic, Peking Duck, when it opened. But that didn't last. Given the prices, and inexperienced, college level wait staff, it's way too expensive.

First time in Nashville and a fan of Chef Maneet Chauhan from the Food Network. Had to try Tansuo cause I’ve been craving dim sum! This restaurant is fabulous, from the ever so flavorful food to the service by Sandra and the ambiance, absolutely loved this fine dining experience!

An excellent dining experience on all fronts. Impeccable service in a great atmosphere. The booths are so private you wouldn't know anyone else was in the restaurant. The food was absolutely outstanding starting with the shrimp and crab rangoon. Both entrees were fantastic. Highly recommend this restaurant!

This restaurant was everything I imagined it to be and more! Watching Maneet Chauhan on TV I knew her food would be amazing and it was! Tansuo has very cozy booths that make you feel as if your in your own private seating area. Service was great, Elena took good care of us! I just wish I could eat more because besides what we had and enjoyed, everything that came out of kitchen looked just as good and I wanted to try it all. If you like okra, order the side, it was so good!! I'm trying to figure out how to re-create it at home! Signature dish of duck was super tasty, although I do feel the duck breast was a little over cooked. If I didn't live so far away, I would go back tomorrow! Chef Maneet, thank you for a great dinner!

We had an excellent dining experience at Tansuo. Our server, Sandra, was great! There were vegan options for me that were clearly marked on the menu. My non vegan spouse had the lobster fried rice. I had the Kung Pao cauliflower. We both thoroughly enjoyed our entrees. The vegetable momo from the dim sum menu was one of the best appetizers I have ever had. The restaurant is also beautifully designed. We will definitely be back.

Food and drinks were lacking in flavor and the staff were very inattentive. That being said, the interior was beautiful and the seating was very comfy. If they can actually execute the wide variety of interesting sounding dishes properly, it’ll be a great place. For us, it was a disappointment.

We came here about 4 or 5 about 5 years ago and the food was decent back then, but we only stopped going because the menu had changed quite a bit. We returned this past week and really didn't care for any of the food. 2 stars is a generous review. Everything, even the fried rice oddly, was very spicy. Almost all of the food was overcooked. The place feels a bit dated. The poor music selection from the 80's didn't help the atmosphere or vibe. We will not return.

See had the Hot Nashville Chicken Wontons and they did not disappoint! If you like heat, definitely give them a try. All the food we had was amazing. Can’t wait to go back next time we are in town.

The recents reviews are accurate. The appetizers we ordered were outstanding; crab and shrimp rangoons and the hot chicken dumplings. Lobster fried rice was very bland and flavorless. The restaurant is clearly understaffed, and service was poor. The hostesses were confused (they brought us menus 10 minutes after we sat down and had to ask for them) and one ended up being our waitress. For what they charge they should have better service and more staff. There are so many amazing restaurants in Nashville, I wouldn’t recommend it or be returning until they fix that.

We ordered several items off of the menu. The spring rolls were fine, nothing to write home about. The bao buns looked as if they just opened a bag of spring mix lettuce and poured it on top of the pork belly. It was in essence a deconstructed bao bun at best. We also ordered the seasonal fried rice. The consistency of the rice was nothing near fried. The flavor was good, however the meal in itself was not. The chili oil dumplings were the best thing we had. For the price of this meal, we suggest you find a local Chinese restaurant. It was not worth the price. Not to mention the service was very, very slow for there to be only a couple of tables in the entire place.
