    Overall a great experience, although the service was my only complaint. The food was top notch, very flavorful and brought out with great presentation. The ambiance and vibe were also great. The waiter started strong by checking in placing orders but then virtually disappeared. They stopped checking in and eventually asked if we were interested in dessert. I then had to ask for the bill 20 minutes after declining a dessert menu.

    This place has a great vibe and ambience. The food was excellent, and the waiter was knowledgeable about vegan options ( there should be more). Food was very flavorful and fresh. My husband left his wallet there by accident, which they put in a safe until he could pick it up.

    The food was great but the service we received from our waiter was mediocre. He didn’t check on us throughout our dinning experience and he refused to serve my friend liquor because her ID expired and asked him could she show him her passport which was on her phone and he said no. We are currently in a digital age. Why could the look at it from her phone?? He was very unapologetic! I understand her ID was expired but her age didn’t change.

    Very nice decor, good food, well presented. My only hesitation was the noise level, which was excessive on a busy Saturday night and exaggerated by pointless background music.

    Miso soup salty, orange was too sweet, more spices for the green rice. Not what I had hope for but the ambiance is great and the decor!! Place was packed in a good way, but more spacing between tables and seating would certainly help in that regard and a broader selection on the menu would help as well.

    Been to TAO uptown several times before and always had incredible food. Unfortunately, yesterday we ordered the salt and pepper lobster which was a bowl of fried lobster shells and some other mixture in there that was very unappetizing. The Bronzino was OK but cold the large fortune cookie dessert was delicious.

    Our appetizer plates stayed at the table empty until the end of the dinner. The busboy literally put our dishes on the corner of the table for us to Grab. We were 2 people. The food used to be better. Maybe because it was late. But i was disappointed. Do better Tao.

    Waited 40 minutes past our booked table time. Despite asking 3 times about it. In the last attempt talking to a different server who was very good was promptly seated and served. Food was very tasty. But it was far too noisy and the wait (with a bleep that never went off for our table) very much ruined the experience. Our waitress at the end was good however and the food was nice

    Every time we visit NYC we eat at Tao, they ALWAYS deliver! Service, food and atmosphere were amazing! Hard to find it all... Thanks Tao We brought our friends with us and they LOVED it!

    The place was packed and clearly they had too many reservations to accommodate everyone. We waited 45 minutes for our table with a reservation. It was so crowded (wall to wall people waiting)…there wasn’t even a seat in the lounge while we waited. It was super loud! The food was very disappointing tonight and not the same quality as usual. We have been to Tao many times before but will hesitate to go back again.

    Great energy and service. Tasty and beautiful food. Went on a business dinner, so unless your party is small, the place could be quite noisy but that was my case, so it wasn’t a problem.

    The food was great and the service fantastic . One person had a garlic allergy and the waiter was very accommodating and thorough about checking with the kitchen about the garlic content of what we ordered and suggesting alternatives

    The food was too salty and the waiter never came back to check on us. The table next to us also commented that this entree was too salty. I ordered coffee with dessert and never received it. We come to TAO every time we come to NYC. It was very disappointing this time.

    There was a mix up with my reservation, it hadn't gone through online. The hostess helped fix it and was very accommodating as well as the wait staff. They were very attentive and informative about the different dishes and the wait time. It was my first visit to this location with my sister who is visiting from California. The food was great, we even purchased extra to take home. The noise level was moderate for a Saturday night and the ambiance was perfect. I would definitely dine here again. Thank you for a very pleasant experience!

    Had a 5:15 reservation. After a 30 minute wait and the buzzer gave us not going off we asked about our seat. They sat us but upstairs by the bar. No view. Two just teenagers. They kinda ruined a great meal.
