When one reserves a table thru open table, it doesn’t give u a spot for special requests as I wanted to make a note to sit in the quietest part of the restaurant but it only gave me 9people high chair table. I tried to call but the recording didn’t allow me to leave a message but redirected me back to open table. Then when I wanted to just change the number of people attending it forced me to pick another time. So I cancelled my change request and kept what i had. Then upon arrival I was shown to a corner booth for 9people and I told them there’s no way all 9 could fit in there and asked to give us another table (ie: not a booth).

We brought over family from abroad. But we happened to have very poor service. Waiting long times for the server to come and check in one us. He only came a total of three times . And it was 9 of us. So yea we had a lot of empty glasses that needed a refill. And we couldn’t order more in between because he never came and it was time to go. The food tasted good that made it up. We asked for nachos with no olives and dips on the side. He brought it full of olives and with all the salsa and sour cream all over it. He never came back to check on us. First time going with my coworkers for a Christmas party. Food was terrible service was even worse. 25 minutes to get a drink All of us will never be going back I would not recommend this place

As stated before, this is our preferred location. Not only is the food excellent, but the staff is outstanding. We were looked after by Nicole S but also had a visit from the management Andy and Paije as they were visiting different tables to see if everyone was enjoying their visit. We cannot say enough about the staff as they are all very personable!! WELL DONE!

We came here for my bday. I love the food that I ordered. But the burger my friend ordered is very disappointing. For a place that looks as good as this place, serving a burger that looks like we ordered at a fast food is unacceptable. Actually fast food burgers looked way more enticing than this. It came with buns, burger and cheese. It looked so sad. Nothing but the burger on a white plate. I understand it is on a happy hour menu. But if you are going to sacrifice the presentation of the food, then don't put it on discounted price at all. Btw, the burger didn't taste great either. But the service and how our server and the manager handled the situation was great, and not because they gave me a free dessert lol. Kudos to your staff

We had our Volleyball team's end-of-season dinner here and it was fire. Great private area on the covered heated patio. The food was amazing and our server Jarrett was the best super nice and accomodating. Would definitely recommend it for groups.

This was my first dining experience at the Tap & Barrel in South Surrey and it certainly went beyond my expectations. The ambience of the restaurant was perfect - great lighting (not to bright, not to dark), the background music there but not drowning out table conversation, the service impeccable and the food absolutely delicious (highly recommend the salmon dinner). We will definitely be a repeat customer! Thanks for an enjoyable evening Tap & Barrel.

Way too loud could barely hear each other speak Food was good but didn’t have any normal beers Server told us her shift was ending and that we had to square up the bill but then we saw her taking orders soon after at other tables, weird Restaurant cancelled my reservation even though we came and I had to contact OpenTable support to get my points, frustrating

Great dinner on Saturday night, love the new menu items, especially the Chili Prawns and Forager Chicken! Service was top-notch and very friendly. The dining room side is a relaxing atmosphere with the Bar side being a little more lively!

great restaurant but not easy to get into if coming off the main highway from the north. We could see the restaurant (hard to miss the huge building) but we had trouble finding and getting into the parking lot. Very friendly servers!

A lot of the negative reviews our old so we decided to give this place a try. So glad we did! Our server Mya was amazing, food was amazing and super fast and the price was very reasonable. I guess the only complaint was music was a bit loud, BUT we were sitting on the lounge side and the Canucks game was on so it's to be expected. We will definitely be back and will ask for the dining room side next time.

The server and food was good- however as always due no staff the service is slow. Too many tables to server and not enough servers- this is not the servers fault- she was amazing

Waiter took too long to come take our order and then would disappear and not come for a while. Was really weired she said we would need to pay and than she can serve us again.

I enjoy the ambiance and location of Tap and Barrel. The menu and food are excellent, as well as their wide array of available cocktails. But every time I go there I am reminded of why I don't go there very often in comparison to Earls and Cactus Club, the service just isn't good and I think that's what ruins the experience. I was with a large party on a Sunday at noon and the place wasn't packed and we still spent long amounts of time waiting for drinks and our food. The majority of our party work as managers, bartenders, and wait staff in restaurants so we understand how it can be, especially with large parties but when we make our drink order and 10 minutes later we can see the bartender is chatting with other staff while we're still waiting, something just isn't right.

The food was great. However m, the service was spotty. Our primary server may have been new. She wasn’t as attentive as most and our orders were not complete. We had a few other people delivering to us so in the end we got all we ordered. Although the last 2 things arrived too late to eat with everything else

We met friends for dinner, shared a couple of appetizers with drinks. We all ordered different main courses and everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meal. The service was great and one of the managers dropped by just to say hello as we were getting ready to leave.

Our server was exceptional, he was engaged and cared about our experience. He gave me a wine taster which I will definitely be ordering next time I come there. He was kind and personable; best service I have ever experienced there!

We enjoy this particular location as it is a neighbourhood favourite, and it has a great Happy Hour with excellent staff. Lauro greeted us and took us to the table. He also makes you feel welcome. Ashley was our server and did a super job on looking after us. We always have a great time as all the staff are so friendly and courteous. Well Done everyone!!

Very noisy, couldn’t carry on a conversation. Why is the music so loud? If you want to blare the music so loud in the bar area, offer a quiet dining space in the other 1/2 of the restaurant.

We like the restaurant and the food, but restaurant was understaffed. I ordered wings and never got them, and waiting for drinks took forever. Otherwise food was good and so was the ambience. Waitress put our family next to some rather loud guys near the bar, was hard to hear each other talk.

We made a reso and brought my 91 year old grandma with a walker out. I specifically chose standard seating instead of outside or high top because of this. The hostess not only argued with me but was rude. I was very specific with chosing this restaurant because there was an elevator up to the restaurant and there were low tables. She wouldn't sit us at the low tables on the one side of the restaurant and made us sit on the patio, which we didn't want. Our server was only around a few times and we had to ask for a lot of things. They brought out meals before we were done with appetizers. They never brought cutlery. She took 15 minutes to get water she said she would bring. Also there were tiles on the floor that were not secure and my sister nearly fell several times on them. Very fortunate my grandma didn't go to sit on that side of the table. I will say the food was good and came out quickly. But overall not my best experience.

Fabulous service! Food was pretty good. Atmosphere was nice. Overall a great expierience. It’s the 7 or 8th time I’ve been. I love tuna Poke bowls!! This Tuna poke bowl wasn’t my favourite (and I’ve had many from different places) too much rice and too dry. Everything else was great!
