   Great food as always. Despite it being packed (Saturday night) our server, Gabby, made sure we were well taken care of. We had a pitcher of sangria instead of wine this time, and it was very good. And as always the food was sublime. Our table ordered saganaki and calamari appetizers, and then lamb souvlaki, prawns santorini, barbecued ribs, and salmon for entrees. All were perfectly done, and I like being able to switch the sides (e.g. no rice but extra Greek salad instead). 😋

   We often go to Taverna Gorgona on special occasions because we can always count on it being an excellent outing. This was no exception. The food was excellent as always and the service was just as good. All of the servers are friendly and take time to chat if you want. One thing I would like to see the restaurant do is bring back the vegetarian dolmades appetizer. Overall, a wonderful experience!

   We dined early (5 pm) so we could be in a quieter environment. It was quiet until about 6 pm when the restaurant started to get busy. The food was good but the calamari was a bit dry. We had quick service but were interrupted too often by the servers. Overall a good experience

   As always, a wonderful dining experience at Taverna Gorgona. Our server Zoë was excellent -- bright and cheerful, and checked back with us frequently to make sure that our meals and service were satisfactory. Despite its having been a fairly busy evening at the restaurant we did not feel rushed or pressured, and our meals were perfect.

    As always, fantastic. Despite its being quite busy (a holiday weekend) we felt that our needs were met and the server kept checking back to make sure we didn’t need anything. Always excellent!

    Nice atmosphere, good sized portions, we all took leftovers home. I had the greek ribs which were very tasty and tender. Really like their rice!

    Busy Saturday night but were seated on time. The staff were friendly and the service was good. The food was served without any delay & was good quality. As it seems with food and all restaurants these days the total bill was expensive but i suspect this is the new normal.

    We were here to celebrate 🍾 my daughters 29th birthday 🎂. We had been here a few times before. My wife, my daughter, son-in-law and I were dining this time around. I saw many of the reviews recommend the Saganaki and the roast lamb. They were spot on with their recommendations. We ordered the Saganaki and Hummus for appetizers. We then ordered roast lamb, lamb souvlaki, calamari dinner with all Ceasar salad and calamari dinner with the rice pilaf, potato and Greek salad. The saganaki was set on fire with the shot of liquor in a cast iron serving pan. The Hummus was delicious. The dinner meals were outstanding. I can tell you my order of calamari with Ceasar salad was so tender and lightly breaded. Perfectly seasoned and sprinkled with white onions, I couldn't stop eating this meal. The roast lamb that my son-in-law had and the lamb souvlaki that my daughter had was so tender and so perfectly cooked. We inhaled and destroyed our meals. I should mention that the server was attentive, professional and courteous. Only one issue was that I had mentioned in my Open table reservation that it would've been nice to have a special birthday treat from the restaurant, which was missed. Otherwise, it was a wonderful experience and we would love to come back to try the other items. Thank you.

    Love this place, good food, service was great. Our friend’s first time at this restaurant and they loved it. Couldn’t get a 6pm reservation through open table, but I called the restaurant to see if I could change my 7pm reservation to 6 and the gentleman I talked to was very accommodating and he was able to change my reservation. Highly recommended

    We had a fabulous night. Ran into an old friend and made some new ones. Excellent food and service. Quickly has become our favourite Greek restaurant. We used to go to another place in North Vancouver for 35 years because it was so good. Taverna Gorgona has replaced it and we couldn’t be happier.

    Love this place normally. Last night they were very very busy. The food quality did not seem up to standard. Both of us felt the same. Food not great. Staff very good, ambience wonderful. We will try again another day.

    Second time we’ve been there where we were not served properly, or they forgot to bring things we asked for until the end. Last time selection of wine was poor. This time the wine tasted off. Although the quality of food was excellent.

    Kora seated us very quickly. Had a nice table and she took our order and served us quite quickly. The food was absolutely delicious and we really enjoyed the place until the music was turned up quite a bit but even then it was very nice. I just don’t think it’s necessary to have really loud music in a restaurant however, it was very clean and the servers were all very pleasant and the food was delicious. We always enjoy it. Thank you.
