    I enjoy taking my grand children to the chefs counter on their birthday. The outing becomes more than fine dining, they can enjoy watching the meals come together and go out, with all of the concurrent activities taking place in the kitchen. Yesterday the pastry chef treated to a complementary puff pastry and a cookie the chef was experimenting with, planning for Thanksgiving.

    We were able to get a reservation on a Saturday night and we expected it to be noisy, but it was not! We had a table indoors looking out on the river lights. The room dividers kept us cozy yet feeling spacious with all the glass! The menu was well-thought, all the selections were delicious; the servers helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. We enjoyed a delicious desert for the hubby’s birthday; complete with a candle as a surprise! Would definitely return and highly recommend!

    We enjoyed our evening very much. The only concern was the ambiance as we were uncertain what mood the chef was trying to create. Music was too loud and we asked for it to be turned down, which it was. However, the music was a popular group singing Texas rock and roll. This may be great in the kitchen when you are preparing food and you want an energetic beat. However, when you go to a very upscale restaurant for an elegant celebratory dinner, you want something relaxing and condusive to dining.

    Great food, nice wine list with a good choice for different tastes. The cocktails were excellent as well. Wonderful service, especially Kyle, the bartender made us feel like home!! Thanks.

    Brunch was extraordinary. All of the food served at our table was delicious. Unfortunately, about half of our order of mussels was not open and couldn’t be eaten. But the wait staff rectified that situation by providing us with a new half order of mussels. We were sitting next to a large table that was rather noisy; otherwise, the noise would not have been a factor as the restaurant is usually quiet which I truly appreciate. While the wait staff was accommodating and very pleasant, service was a bit slow. I prefer leisurely dining but this time was a bit overdone. Our reservation was for 12:30 pm and our brunch wasn’t completed until 2:45 pm.

    Everything was perfection! The restaurant is beautiful, we had a table of 7 for a birthday brunch so we had 2 servers and they were perfection, available and helpful without intruding! The food was dreamy! Every single plate was delicious, how do they make pancakes so amazing?! we were fighting for bites of my sons pancake plate, turtle soup was perfect, steak and eggs, debris grits, candied bacon, BBQ shrimp, and that bread! Thank you for making my moms birthday brunch so special!

    We came here to celebrate a birthday. Brittany and Aerial waited on us. Service was outstanding and the food was exceptional. Definitely would recommend this place fora special occasion or just to enjoy a great meal with a great view.

    I took my grandson for his 14th birthday and he said the praline bacon and the buttermilk pancakes were the bomb! I had the mussels and the bbq shrimp & grits… WE Thoroughly enjoyed it and grandson said definitely 5 STAR restaurant!

    As always, excellent in every way! Wait staff was very attentive. The salmon and caviar was extremely tasty. The beet salad is delicious too! The duck was exceptional, however the veal chop was not our favorite.

    23 rd Anniversary last night. Service was great as usual! Had the crab cake & came to the conclusion that it's the most flavorful item on the menu. Can wait til my visit.

    We went for a date night and Tchfuncta did not disappoint. Simple caesar salad which was good but entrees and deserts were terrific. Small steak with a very hearty thick beef sauce with added hollandaise was perfect. Ordered medium rare and it was right on and super tender. Wife settled for the crab cake which was loaded with lump crabmeat and had shrimp on top. Topper of the evening was the butter pecan cake topped with butter pecan ice cream and caramel sauce. This was third time eating there in the past two months and it has been great every time.

    My wife and I went here for a date night and the restaurant certainly delivered an amazing experience. We had the Prime Beef Carpaccio, Potato crusted red snapper, Maine Diver Scallops and Lemon souffle. Everything was delicious. The service was attentive and very friendly. We will be going back any time we are in the area.

    My experience at Tchefuncte’s was exceptional! My fiancé and I went for lunch to celebrate our recent engagement. The staff congratulated us upon arrival and brought us complimentary glasses of champagne. The rest of our service was amazing as well. They also provided us with complimentary dessert! It was such a nice and warming experience as we celebrated this special time. Our entrees and other drinks were wonderful as well. We can’t wait to return!
