Welcome to our "cabin in the woods", Tekarra Restaurant, Jasper's fine dining experience since 1952.

Chef Jean Louis Espenel, and owners Mike and Cyndi Day, created a menu inspired by regional products such as Alberta bison and AAA beef, free run chicken, and Catch of the Day. Our appetizers feature small and shared plates and follow the same theme with meat and cheese boards, house smoked trout, and bacon jam.

    Lack of creativity in the dishes. The meatloaf, chicken and catch of the day all came with identical sides. It was the same plate just different proteins. The food was good but three dishes had the same mushroom sauce, which was tasty but the same. For the prices we had higher expectations.

The chicken dish is a daily feature and in this case was chicken supreme. The catch of the day is served with rice and vegetables. Again it's a daily feature so there are different presentations throughout the season.

    We had a great dinner. The bison boar burger with Stilton cheese was amazing! Unfortunately, just after we finished dinner, the power went out due to the Jasper fires. So paying the bill was a slight challenge but we had enough cash to settle up. We'll definitely be back! ♥️

    A very enjoyable dinner. Our specialty drinks and Maui Wowie dessert were outstanding. The only reason that the food rating wad not higher was that my meal was lukewarm when it was served. Service was wonderful.

    Delicious food. Mussels and salad both very good. We both had the salmon which was the daily special. Beautifully cooked served with delicious roasted veg. A gem of a place!

    Past reviews were certainly not wrong. A great find just outside of town with a varied menu plus a wide range of specials on offer. The staff were friendly and efficient and the quality of the food was excellent. The grilled pineapple with coconut/vanilla ice-cream was fantastic — as was the bison short rib.

    Delicious choices on the menu. Hard to decide which to order! We were very pleased with flavor and presentation. It was a very nice way to end our vacation at the Tekerra Lodge.

    Excellent meal prepared by the chef. The Newfoundland blue mussels (appetizer), wild boar pork chops and venison tournedos were amazing. Vegetable mixture of potatoes, asparagus, carrots and peppers cooked perfectly. Servers timely and very friendly.

    Really good plain simple food, capturing pretty much every local protein source! We enjoyed the charcuterie and cheese to start, and shared meatloaf and short ribs. Im a massive carnivore so loved it, my companion found it very rich. I loved the ‘game’ flavours. Puddings delicious too. Really worth the visit.

    Really awesome food. Meat and cheese board was perfect for two, and I had the bison short ribs. Great flavor. Sat on the patio and it was so peaceful and nice.

    What a lovely evening! Our waitress, Carol made it so enjoyable. We sat outside with the option to go in if the weather turned, which it did. The charcuterie board was wonderful. The scallops tasty, the rack of lamb somewhat chewy. It’s a relaxing restaurant away from the town but not far at all. Thanks Carol! We love your charm and smile 😊

    This restaurant is like stepping back in time - but in a good way. There was a large table which is the only reason it was a bit noise. Menu: phenomenal: wait staff friendly and accommodating. We come to Jasper often: this was or first visit but it will definitely not be our last!

    First time at this restaurant. Very glad we tried it. Food was very good. We had their charcuterie board and then the scallops. Both were very tasty. Enjoyed a beer, wine and a cocktail. Service was excellent. This location is nice as it isn't in Jasper proper so it's quaint and quiet. The restaurant itself is lively but not overly noisy. We would like to come back to try more of their dishes.

    I would highly recommend the restaurant at Tekerra Lodge. We have stayed at the lodge for the past 3 summers and have always enjoyed dining there. Excellent food and service!

    Visiting Jasper so dined here based on reviews. Lovely setting! Not very busy so lots of great service. Both of us had the tomato/mozzarella salad which was generous and very fresh. I had the scallops as an entree. They were tasty but small and came only with a corn coulis. My husband enjoyed the elk strip loin which was prepared to order and was accompanied with lots of fresh vegetables. Wine selection was ok but a little limited. Would eat here again.

    Waitress had a lot of attitude. We did not feel like guests. We were guests who have stayed at the resort before, but we will never go the restaurant again.

    We picked this restaurant as we wanted somewhere where we could eat different foods than we could get at home. I had the elk, bison & wild boar meatloaf. My husband had the wild boar chefs cut. Both were very delicious! For dessert, we had the chocolate marquis. Also very delicious. It's like a pressed dark chocolate mousse. Very flavorful but not overly sweet or too rich. Perfect dessert for sharing. We'll definitely be back next time we're in Jasper.

    The atmosphere and food at Tekkra was amazing. I had the bison, elk, bore meatloaf and my wife had the Cranberry Stuffed Quail. Great value and we definitely will be back the next time we are in Jasper
