Server was bubbly and friendly, food was great but took 45 minutes to be served. Given how busy the restaurant was, and that I got extra time to chat with my beautiful wife while we had a drink, that did not detract from the evening in the slightest. The server even came and apologized for the delay with the offer of popcorn. Selection of gluten free dishes was quite extensive and the server was knowledgable about the dishes that were suitable for someone with celiac disease. I would highly recommend eating there.

We love Tempo and eat there frequently, however, we have our menu favorites, but tonight we opted for their New Year's eve special. The mushroom soup was delicious, the bacon wrapped tenderloin was cooked to perfection and tasted amazing as did the cheesecake for dessert. Highly recommend Tempo! Their food is delicious and their staff definitely make you feel at home.

We waited 45 minutes plus to be served. This is unacceptable. I have been to Tempo many times before and one of the things I have always liked about it is the quick service. After our 45 minute wait the food was poor quality and not up to the usual Tempo standard. All 3 of us were disappointed with our meals.

On a Friday over lunch in downtown Halifax, there should be an expectation that there will be patrons coming from offices with an hour lunch break. Our food took 50 minutes to arrive. Two of our party had to leave with their food to go because they had meetings to get to. The server was very friendly and apologized for the wait when the food was finally being served but hard no mention of it as we waited.

Tempo is always a go-to for our office. The one thing we have started noticing that when there are large groups the quality of the food is not it's usual greatness. Many at out table ordered tacos and for those who ordered the Taco Duo the chicken was extremely over cooked. I received the Fish Tacos and they were very dry with very little slaw in the taco and little lemon aoli compared to the person beside me who had plenty on theirs. These are something I order every week as they are typically fantastic. I asked for some additional aoli on the side to find out afterwards that I was charged $1 for this. I don't mind paying extra but patrons should be told if there was an additional charge. The server was very polite and friendly and professional. It will not stop myself from coming to Tempo however it may be something to look into as the food quality and consistency does vary when serving a table of 4 to a table if 14.

The service is as excellent as the food - especially the fish tacos and the seafood chowder. Do NOT underestimate Tempo as being some ho-him hotel restaurant. This is a real deal place.

My god... this team is just amazing! I’ve always liked visiting Halifax, but I make sure to stop in here once during my trips. The staff take care of me and the manager Cristina even came by my table to check on me during my meal... great experience! I will be back.

Mother’s Day brunch was delicious and the service was outstanding. I had the fish tacos and the serving was huge; I ate the second one for supper and it was still delicious. My 3 year old also ate free. Warren was a super host. Go eat there now!

Food was very average. Received fries instead of salad, waiter gave us the bill before asking if we were done (which we were not). It was very cold in there. My boyfriends burger had tomato when he asked for no tomato.

Chicken tacos were good, gave a free popcorn as a light appy. Service wasn’t great sadly. Drinks were always empty, food also took a very long time to arrive. Felt like we were flagging down our server for him to pay attention to our table of 8.

It took a long time for the food to arrive but when it did it was awesome. I am not sure if our waitress was new or just not interested in our table. She never asked which sides we wanted, we had to ask what our options were. Wonder what we would have received?

Lovely spot for an early dinner. The service was superb. Our server was perfect - and that is often hard to find. She provided the best level of service but wasn’t all over us. Came at appropriate times and was always pleasant. She just came across as someone who enjoyed her job 100%. Best server we have had in a long time. The perfect balance. Keep her! She made us want to come back again. Thank you.

Tried Tempo as something different and was blown away by the food, ambiance and most of all the service. Our server was funny, engaging, helpful and generally did everything he could to help us enjoy our meal. We each had different types of food and every person in our party raved about their food. The desserts (especially the cheesecake) were great. Will definitely go back here when I return to Halifax.

Had a great brunch . Nice table near the window. Most outstanding was our server Aidan. Very good service with a smile. One of us had the omelet which I understand was very good. I had the pancakes with blueberries., also very tasty. We will return.

Had a great dinner here Saturday evening before the Songwriters’ Circle at Casino NS. A very good location in the downtown core. The food was delicious and I had a wonderful cocktail. Try the taco duo, both (fish and chicken) are delicious but the tempura chicken taco is outstanding. Accompanied by the kale salad it’s a healthy and satisfying option. Janice was our server and she’s wonderful - a true credit to your establishment.

Great for big groups, nice atmosphere. Servers are very friendly but service is very slow. Food is variable. Some dishes are great (lobster poutine) some are alright. BIG portions. Great happy hour prices. Would go back for drinks and snacks but wouldn’t expect a really tasty dinner.

The food was good. The service was great, however the wait for our food was not great. We waited for over a half hour for our meals and when you have only an hour for lunch, it doesn't allow a whole lot of time to eat.
