Terrace Restaurant, Mission Hill Family Estate
By partnering with local farmers, our menu continuously evolves to incorporate the freshest ingredients. Similar to our philosophy in the vineyards, we have a firm belief in sustainable and bio-dynamic agricultural practices, including local foraging, organic farming, and the Vancouver Aquarium’s OceanWise program. Even our own honeybees help sustain the estate gardens while providing wildflower honey to be used by our culinary team.

Great food and great service! Came for our anniversary and were not disappointed
As a privilege member, I often host guests at the Terrace restaurant. It is certainly a beautiful view and nice ambiance. At our last luncheon, the experience was certainly not up to the standard I have come to expect.
We were not seated on the vineyard side as requested, and were placed right next to the kitchen. It was the worst table possible with far too much activity with servers picking up their orders, guests arriving and being seated etc.
As well, the ‘amuse bouche’ is a perk of the membership and should be provided once the initial drink order is provided. We had to wait far too long and it actually came after I had given hope that we would receive it and we had to order a shared appetizer. It was silly to have the cheese board plus the complimentary cheese focussed amuse bouche.
The main course (3 different pastas) were just ‘ok’ and certainly not as tasty as previous occasions (different chef I suppose).
Our service was very good but slow (2.5 hour lunch).
Overall not an enjoyable lunch sadly and I will reconsider hosting further luncheons here (over to Quail’s Gate instead).
In addition, the hordes of tourists outside the restaurant were hanging about with kids screaming etc.
Overall not the experience we were hoping for.
This was an anniversary late lunch and both my husband and I thoroughly enjoyed it.
It is a beautiful setting and the food amazing! Our waiter was remarkable and all the
wait staff pitch in to help serve so you're not waiting long for anything.
My friend and I had been meaning to eat there and we finally did. I loved it.
Breathtaking views! Service was decent, but food could be better. I ordered a beef bavette, and while I know it's not the most tender cut, the steak knife they provided could not cut through the meat.
It was a great restaurant. The only disappointment was for my dining companion whom had suggested the restaurant because they had been coveting the burger and once we got their for our reservation at 12:45 you were already sold out. As my dining companion doesn’t eat mushrooms or seafood it made it challenging to find an entre to order. They ended up ordering fries and the vegetable medley. Both good but not replaceable for an entre.
Our dining experience was ruined by the host’s poor customer service. We were seated at a table where only one person can enjoy the view of the lake. We asked our waitress if one of us could move the chair to the side so we both can see the lake. Host with a black dress and district eye makeup (harsh black eyeliner) came and told us to move the chair back, saying “I need you to move...” impolitely. Our waitress did a good job serving us but needs to communicate better with the host because this could have been avoided if she did. I will probably write a complaint letter to give more details about our experience. We were very disappointed because we really liked the winery tour before our lunch.
The service right from the start was amazing. They originally placed us at a table closer to the lawn but moved us to a table overlooking the lake without us asking. Our waitress Sara was polite, courteous and attentive the entire time. It was our first time there and if we ever come back to Kelowna we will be sure to book a reservation there again!
We had a delightful, late lunch on a Sunday. The place was pretty crowded but we were seated very close to our reservation time. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there. Beautiful view!
We had a great lunch and we enjoyed the afternoon In the winery.
Wonderful food. The weather was perfect and the atmosphere casual/classy. Our server was attentive and knowledgeable in the wine selections. We'll be back.
Amazing food and even better service. Highly recommended. The view is awesome, grounds spectacular. Just can't say enough good about it. Felt like a VIP even though we were just the average family. We are definitely returning.
We got there in good weather and then a storm moved in
The team were wonderful and helped us move tables and gave me a blanket so we could watch the thunder lightening/ storm comfortably.
It was actually quite fun watching a storm while eating their amazingly prepared food.
Fabulous food in a fabulous setting. Waiter Tye went above and beyond our expectations. Clearly service matters. We can’t wait to return!
My Son chose this location because he is thinking of having his wedding here. We strolled the grounds, ate a wonderful lunch of 4 different starters that we shared and drank excellent wine. The service was spot on and we left wanting for nothing. A lovely day indeed!
Outstanding food. The flavours blended perfectly yet each item was distinct. The potato and cheese fondue on the beef Babette was mind blowing. We asked for it on the halibut and shrimp dish as well. I think we created a new menu item!!
The cheesecake for dessert had me at the sponge toffee crumble surrounding the cake.
What a fabulous treat! Great service incredible views of the water and stunning grounds. The best restaurant and winery experience in the area...maybe in Canada.
We felt like Royalty from the moment we walked in till we left. We experienced' The Taste of the Estate tour' and the Sommelier was great! The Terrace staff are friendly and very efficient. The views and the ambience are magical. Loved the whole experience.
Wonderful experience and food.
We went for an anniversary dinner and felt like we were given first class treatment. The service was excellent as was the ambiance. The food was also delicious. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a fine dining experience and would go back for a special occasion.
The only minor complaint would be that some of the entrees were rather small. My wife ordered the bavette, which was a decent portion. I ordered the halibut, which was nice but was quite tiny (2-3 oz?) with 3 tiny shrimps, three or four bite size pieces of squash and some peas. It was also in a tasty dill sauce. On its own, this dish was really good but would not have been enough to sustain me, and I don’t eat large portions to begin with. I do recognize that at higher end restaurants, the tendency is to do more with smaller portions of higher quality ingredients, which this restaurant does and that I generally applaud. However, a 36 dollar entree should at the end of the day keep you full for more than an hour- or at least come with a big asterisk that the dish is quite small. Aside from this minor issue, the experience was fantastic.
Super small suggestion- I would suggest changing the knives, at least for steak- type dishes. The knives provided, while very stylish, were quite dull and awkward to use and were not easy to cut proteins with)
Thanks so much for the lovely dinner and superb service!
The dining area is outdoors with screens, unfortunately it was quite breezy when we were there. Overhead heaters and blankets help, but each time the wind came up it was a cold blast on our legs and backs. The screens likely reduced the wind at table level, but meant we couldn't enjoy the view very well. Service and food were amazing, and the outdoor setting would be nice on a warmer summer day, but with the cool day and winds it was distracting from the overall effect - it would have been nice to be inside and enjoy the view through windows.
For a place that gets this much hype, I expected to be blown away. I was not. Food was average. Service was average. Deserts were quite good. I honestly feel like I don't need to go back. Which is too bad because I really wanted to LOVE it.
The food and service was top notch! I LOVE this restaurant. Mission Hill is beautiful!
Amazing, will recommend and be back! Thank you so much for making our anniversary so special
Divine!! I had the halibut, a new experience for me & my friend the Okanagan char. We then shared a dessert. Everything was perfect - we’ll be back! I am from New Zealand & my friend from Idaho.
My husband and I booked the Terrace Restaurant for a celebratory/romantic dinner on the first night of our honeymoon and it did not disappoint.
Our server, Cory, was super helpful with his food and wine recommendations. We ordered the beets and cheese for our starter, the steak and the truffle spaghetti for our main course, and the goat cheesecake and macaron ice cream sandwiches for our dessert. If it wasn’t so unclassy to do so, we would have licked our plates clean after each course.
The view was incredibly and the Mission Hill winery grounds are absolutely stunning. I would highly recommend the Terrace Restaurant to all of my friends when visiting Kelowna.
Amazing spot with excellent food paired perfectly with estate wines. Go early for a pre tasting and a visit to the beautiful grounds. Tasting/shop closes at 6:00
Everything was great from the place to the service. The food was amazing and took us to another level. Great place to enjoy a sunset.
Not exactly what we were expecting as far as the food, the wine was exceptional and the ambiance and view was lovely. Sadly won’t be returning based on the food only.
Poor options for food. Steak option very poor. Can't believe it is $36 for such a poor, small portion of meet.
We would rather burn our money on other things.
Absolutely stunning scenery , exceptionally beautiful place , serene , divine .
The setting for the restaurant is truly amazing and same for the food too. Its just divine. Service is top notch , quality and presentation of food is world class . Outstanding experience. My family was visiting from india and the staff went out of there way to accommodate our group of 10 . We had a great time .
Absolutely one of the best restaurant experiences I’ve ever endured. Multiple servers were very friendly and would often swing by to ask how wine/food was tasting. I felt comfortable as if I were at home. Everyone was very personable and was willing to ensure our experience was a 5 star experience. Kira took care of us during our experience and was was very knowledgeable and friendly. Kira and Joel sincerely went above and beyond to make this experience at Mission Hill a memorable one.
Table was nicely located and comfortable with the heater on thanks to dining room manager(young man of 2 months) working was very knowledgeable and friendly. The waitress from Quebec was very good, just a little hard to understand. Food was very tasty, but find menu quite restricting in regards to likes.
Terrace Restaurant was recommended to us as a 'must visit' on our first trip to the area. We were not disappointed. The menu was inviting with many local ingredients, there was a very good wine menu (as one would expect) and the service was excellent with good explanations of food and wine choices. Our waitress was attentive without being intrusive. The views from the restaurant were delightful. We will certainly be back when we next visit the Okanagan region.
Spectacular view and very friendly and family oriented ! Excellent service!
We enjoyed the wine tasting and dining there afterward! Thanks
We love the spectacular views and the service was exceptional! The kids enjoyed their meal and was able to sit around comfortably!
Beautiful scenery, amazing food.
We came when mushrooms and strawberries were in season; you can't go wrong with anything on the menu.
EXTREMELY ACCOMMODATING TO OUR GROUP!! Would highly recommend to everyone!!
Excellent meal in a spectacular setting - can't get a better seat in Kelowna BC Canada - the Napa of the North.
What an outstanding evening we had here. The food was utterly exquisite and our server Mason was the most personable and engaging young man we have encountered. The dinner was the highlight of our trip to the Okanagan
The two of us had a wonderfull lunch on Wednesday with a friend. The food was exquisite. Smoked Artic Char was divine as well as the Goat cheese cheesecake. Excellent wine pairings too. The wines are superb. The grounds are worth a visit et the artwork is first class. pricey but worth it.
