Food is crap, I’ve never seen a restaurant serving French fries with steak, and the steak, if you’d call it a steak, is burnt victim, definitely not “medium well”, it’s like “whatever well you’re gonna eat it”. The carrots and sweet peppers on the plate were basically raw, how raw? You can’t use your fork to poke and hold it, it will fly out, that’s how raw it was. Service was ok, dude was too busy I don’t blame him, but the other ones were doing the minimum by swinging around, not fair to him at all. Also, we were told that the tables near window are for hotel clients, but you’re a restaurant opening to the public, if your hotel guest didn’t reserve a table, why do you have to keep those tables empty the whole night while not letting us sit there? I consider it discrimination. All in all, not worth spending 150$ for the dinner there, Monarque has much better steak for the same price. Btw, the food was great 1 year ago, they must’ve changed the chef.

Food and service was really good. However, the setup can be improved. The main value is of the terrace is the view and you have a hard time seeing it if you are seated at the back of the restaurant. Also, there is not a spot where you can stand and enjoy the view. There are tables everywhere. The terrace is small.

L'ambiance est décontractée et agréable. Parfait pour un repas de couple ou pour une sortie familiale relaxante. La vue et la localisation donnent aussi un beau plus à l'endroit. La nourriture est excellente et les portions sont bonnes. Le prix est un peu élevé, mais le service est à la hauteur des attentes et la qualité des aliments servis équilibre le tout. Les petites attentions du personnel pour les occasions spéciales valent définitivement le prix payé dans l'ensemble. À essayer sans hésiter!

Took my lady for her birthday with some family. The service was great. Pricy menu, but you get what you pay for at the end of the day. Amazing views. Steak was perfect! Quality was there as well. Thanks !

Breathtaking view, amazing food and outstanding staff. The oysters were cold, the tartares exquisite and the truffle orecchiette pasta to die for. This terrace is one of Montreal's gems in my opinion. Thank you for such a warm welcome!

Nous sommes allés bruncher un dimanche matin de septembre, c'était frais et il pleuvait. Le toit couvrait bien, on nous a proposé de changer de place si jamais le vent nous amenait de la pluie. Il y avait des chauffes-terrasse tres efficaces. On nous a prêté des couvertures douces et chaudes. Le service était rapide et chaleureux. Les employés semblaient heureux de travailler. La nourriture est divine et les mimosa aussi ! Nous reviendrons l'été prochain !

Fantastic view! The food was good. Not to dine perhaps, but to have appetizers and drinks. The waitress forgot our order but the supervisor took care it almost right away. Overall great ambiance and experience.

J'étais venu au restaurant à cause de la vue sur le port, mais je n'ai pas pu apprécier à cause de l'emplacement de ma table, la cuisine sincèrement 2/10 ( le saumon avec la peau, les pommes de terre pas trop cuits, la vignegrette pas le top, par contre j'ai aimé les petits ogions, dans le plat de mon père je n'ai pas du tout aimé la bavette !!! La serveuse était comme même très professionnel et courtoise mais on a attendu trop longtemps !! Ce qui est juste dommage c que J'étais venu pour admirer la vue mais je part avec un vue sur le tirroir que les serveurs utilisent entre les deux terasses,

Great experience with a nice view of the city. We went just before sunset so we had the day and night view. Our server Catherine was attentive and took very good care of us. I would recommend it to anyone visiting Montreal, even if only for a drink.

We were happy with our cocktails (chillin chili) and tasty burgers. Our server was outstanding, looking all over the hotel for our wine choice and being personable in general. The terrace itself is a crowded spot, not great views for a rooftop due to safety barriers being quite high and getting in the way. We adjusted to the high noise, loud music environment, but just to note that it’s pretty upper end on that scale.

We went on Monday, a particularly hot day. We did not know that Monday, a holiday, was also an extension of the weekend, thus, a brunch was on the menu. Also, we thought that there would be fans so that the air would move, but it was not so. It was stiflingly hot. Also, there was a great deal of noise from all the tables close by so we couldn't carry on a conversation. The drinking water given was warm and we had to ask several times for ice cubes. The meals were good but I would not recommend this terrace restaurant on a hot day. We were happy to leave and go in air-conditioned comfort. I normally love this restaurant and enjoy the view but I will refrain from going on a warm day. The heat, noise, and lack of fans was discouraging.

Just remember this price you paid for the view and location, not for the food and service. Food was overpriced. Salty and arugula salad doesn’t even come with a salad dressing ! The steak also was not best cut of meat. Unfortunately, our waitress was not very nice and friendly. They never follow up with you after they take your order. Even asking for some condiment afterwards was not given to me. I had to ask another server for it. Maybe my waitress wasn’t in a good mood that day.

Overall, it was a nice place to enjoy Old-Montreal. But, the noise level was really too high. It was very uncomfortable. We had to ditch the place and go somewhere else to save our ears.

We celebrated our anniversary during a trip to Montreal. We received a free champagne and the service was outstanding. We had the brunch and everything was delicious. Berry tiramisu was so good.

I had a wonderful experience at the Terrace William Gray. The place is nicely located with an amazing view of the old port. The table was nicely prepared and the service was wonderful. In addition to this lovely ambient, the food is gorgeous with a balanced menu and elaborated options. The plates were absolutely delicious and carefully served. I loved this place! This is a must place to visit in Montreal!

Very grateful for the anniversary spent there, but it rained well on the terrace. Very noisy atmosphere, you have to settle down, but the champagne was good and cold, the service is there even if the person in charge was very, very busy. The food is very good and enough on the plate for anyone's hunger. It's worth all the tip left, just be careful what you ask for, the people there respond to your requests, but they can't be proactive for everyone present there, because it's really full, full, even with a reservation made 2 weeks in advance.

This is the perfect setting and location for a romantic date. However it is very busy...maybe too busy. Crowded and very difficult to have a conversation with your own table. Also felt pressure to hurry up and order. The menu is very limited. Excellent food, quality and service but way too expensive for what is being served Recommended for the view, service and food quality. Not for a romantic dinner.

There is a beautiful view of the old port from this restaurant. Our server was great. My food was very tasty and a generous portion. The only issue was that our table was in the middle of the space and we could see empty tables along the perimeter which had a better view. I asked to be moved before we sat down but they said that they preferred to seat larger parties at the table I had in mind (there were three of us) but a little later they sat a group of 4. So lesson learned…request a table with a view here when making the reservation!

Food is very bland and mediocre. They try to squeeze as many tables in as possible so it’s very tight and packed. Other people’s bums were constantly bumping into our heads every time they walked passed our table. When we requested to switch tables, the server notified us that the best tables by the windows are saved for hotel guests so we were unable to change.
