Where it all started. Our first location on 720 Queen Street West opened in 1992. From a storefront selling imported Italian pantry staples with only a handful of seating to our most recent renovation and expansion celebrating our 30 years of Terroni, our first ever location got a much deserved face lift, elevating both the look and function of this neighbourhood favourite while still retaining its character of being warm and inviting.

Despite its modern, updated new look, the original spirit of Terroni that kicked off three decades of authentic Italian experience lives here. Don’t let the summer season go by without enjoying our popular back patio (where Cosimo once grew basil for the restaurant) it is a west-end Toronto summertime favourite spot.

Food and atmosphere was great, however service was uncomfortable. Management should only put servers on big groups who actually want to be there and can keep a cheerful demeanour. We were told multiple times that we shouldn’t get up and mingle in our group and our server had an attitude, making it feel like he was just trying to rush us out.

Food was as always, delicious. We were seated outside as requested. But by far, our best takeaway from the evening was our server, Stephanie. She was outstanding. She tried to accommodate our needs and checked on our well-being and satisfaction. She was fabulous!

The ambiance and food were perfect. But unfortunately, the waiter treated us very disrespectfully. In my opinion, good ambiance and food alone cannot satisfy customers. They should be more careful in choosing their waitresses.

My gfs and I enjoyed a wonderful girls' night last night. Queen has always been my favourite location. The vibe is chill. Easy. Not too loud. Welcoming. Quality of food is topnotch. Service is incredible. We had Shannon and she was super helpful especially with our one friend who had never dined at Terroni before. She helped us with wine and food selections. Deliciousness all around! Will definitely go back! Thank you, Terroni and Shannon!

Disappointing. Sunday evening and restaurant out of three itens in their “special menu”. We learned this after the fact. 40 minutes between appetiser and main. Pasta. Fish and a pork chop. Told pork chop takes a lot of time. What was clear was they had a lot of big groups and the kitchen overwhelmed with no one apparently in charge. Have been to Terroni on Yonge which was good. This location is a disappointment. There are simply a lot better Italian restaurants in that area.

Terrible experience at Terroni on Queen street. This was our 1st time at their Queen St West location but we had been at Bettola di Terroni 3 times in last 12 months. All four of us order cocktails and the selection of house cured meets to start while we talk and look at menus, shortly thereafter he comes to the table to remind us that it is Saturday night and that it will get busy so pizza's would be the fastest! He seems stressed while a bunch of 20 year old girls are seated at table next to us, we are mid 50's. We order a few more appetizers and I let him know that I will be picking a bottle of white. he picked plates and drinks that were unfinished, again as if there was a rush, the place was not full but then again more 18-20 year olds are seated in our section. We ask for more bread and Olive oil and he seemed distressed by it and emphasizes that the second one is not free. He really did not belong in that role and we felt for him but by then the place is really loud and unpleasant. We order more appetizers and then our main, all the food is on point, and very good but as we get to finish our mains, he picks again plates that are not quite finished and one of of is far from finished their plate. When he asks if we wanted desert, we ask if we could finish the meal in a different area of the restaurant, he immediately said he did not think that would be possible but that he would nevertheless ask his manager. By then the noise was unbearable, all the 20 year olds were very loud. We were relocated to the front of the restaurant, restaurant half full, it's now 9:30, we order deserts and 3 cappuccinos, the manager comes back to tell us the 2 deserts we chose were not available, we opted not to take any but then the cappuccinos arrive. We ordered them to have with the desert but now NO desert, might have been a good idea to offer them on the house! In any case the food was great, the atmosphere was terrible and so was the service. Never again for $600!

Excellent food and service . There was a mix up with my wife’s main course which was the wrong order. The waitress accepted responsibility, apologised and made sure we aren’t charged for this main course . In addition the management gave us dessert on the house . The professionalism on g and long this was extremely impressive .

Absolutely blown away by this place, a total home run. We had two servers because our first one was ending her shift halfway through, but both of them were fantastic. The food was incredible, the ambience was great (we sat on the patio but the dining room was very nice. We felt very at home here, and I will absolutely be revisiting next time I’m in the city.

Been coming here for decades. Worst experience yet. Almost an hour to get bread after asking. Another half hour for apps. I’ve never had to wait so long. Watched other tables be served and leave long before us. Sad to see the quality of service go down so far.

Love Terroni and had been here before but a few things that could be improved upon: we had to ask for the complimentary bread; we were told there was no balsamic or butter to go with the bread; there is no diet coke/pepsi; and you can't substitute a different noodle with a pasta dish. It felt like every time we made a [basic] request we were turned down.

The stairs to the second floor are quite steep. Remodelled space was great, but incredibly loud. They should install panels to absorb acoustics.

The loud music in the front of restaurant would be less distracting if it wasn’t a quick-changing medley of songs in some new sort of elevator-music vibe. Properly curated music instead of this soul-less mix (blasting) would be super. Otherwise, everythung was lovely. Been patronizing Terroni since the 80s!

Not a lot of vegetarian options, no flexibility in the menu to add/ remove toppings. The pizza was not sliced which apparently is the signature of the restaurant. The staff was not welcoming and couldn't care less. The food was fine, but the overall experience was quite underwhelming. Would not recommend it to vegetarians.

My pasta was cold, while my friend’s was still nice & warm, they came out at the same time. There were flies bugging us while we were in the restaurant. A bit disappointed, as when I order ubereats from here the food is better. The Adelaide location has a better vibe than the queen restaurant.

I’ve been dining at Terroni for over 10 years. It’s definitely a fave of mine so decided to have an intimate dinner of 4 there to celebrate my bday. I won’t get into the details but I will never go back to the Queen location. There wasn’t anything positive to say and I’ll leave it at that.

It is very obviously under renovations still and feels like a construction site. The back seating area has a cafeteria feeling with hard backed chairs and buzzing speakers that sound damaged. Food is always great but the restaurant doesn’t currently have an atmosphere I would have booked at had I known. Has always been one of my favourite restaurants just wasn’t a great experience last night.

We love this restaurant but were disappointed for the first time. Service was very slow, pizza app came out cold which we didn’t say anything about. However our mains (4 pastas) didn’t come out at the same time and one was very cold. Told the waitress to take it back. She offered to get us a new one but we said no because we would’ve had to wait too long for it considering the already slow service. Hope this experience doesn’t happen again because this is our go to place and we took friends out for their first time.

We've dined at Terroni many times, typically at the Adelaide location. We were seated quickly and the waitress was knowledgeable. They didn't have any cocktails that weren't listed on the menu (disappointing). Our appetizers were amazing. Then, I ordered the bolognese (which is what I always order when I'm there because it's always so good). Of the four entrees delivered to the table, mine came last, and a LONG time after the other meals were served... in fact, the people we were dining with were almost done their entrees when mine arrived (if they hadn't started without me, their meals would have been cold). My meal was hot, but the beef in the bolognese was overcooked and tough. A bunch of the pasta was clumped together and hard (undercooked). All-in-all it was disappointing, especially given that I had told our guests that from my experience it was the best pasta in the city. Everyone else's meals seemed fine.
