Where it all started. Our first location on 720 Queen Street West opened in 1992. From a storefront selling imported Italian pantry staples with only a handful of seating to our most recent renovation and expansion celebrating our 30 years of Terroni, our first ever location got a much deserved face lift, elevating both the look and function of this neighbourhood favourite while still retaining its character of being warm and inviting.

Thoroughly enjoyed our experience at Terroni. The atmosphere is bustling, yet controlled. The staff are all so lovely and knowledgeable. The food is absolutely incredible and the service is fast!

Our server seemed to be completely clueless about the items on the menu, and gave us incorrect information, including info about an ingredient with an allergy. She seemed very bothered to be serving the entire time we were there (which was a total of about an hour). We ended up deciding not to do appetizers, drinks OR dessert because she was so unprofessional, and went elsewhere after dinner instead. Will not be returning to this location.

I've been to Terroni several times and always have a great meal. The server was efficient and really felt like she was trying to get us out of the table. Would have appreciated a friendly server who wasn't trying to get rid of us. She picked up my client's plate as he was still eating his last bite and dropped the dessert menu in front of him without a word. There were still 5 other people eating dinner and it felt very abrupt.

The ambiance was good and the menu is quite extensive, although my choice wasn't the best Italian food I've had. It was nice, but I would choose something else next time. Prices are reasonable and the service was good though I lament Canada's decision to copy the US tipping culture - its an outrageous and mostly unjustified stealth tax.

The food was underwhelming. The gf options were amazing and pasta itself was wonderful alternative, but it has changed quality since the last time I’ve been there. My friend had to send food back as she was disappointed at the lack of flavour and taste. The server was extremely accommodating and responsive to our feedback. Even though it wasn’t an amazing experience, we were pleased with service and ambience

Food was delicious as always Service was sub-par. Other tables around us were provided bread for the table, we were not. Our server disappeared for extended periods of time- no checking in. Empty plates on our table for way too long. Had to ask for water from the other server, had to ask for dessert menus from the other server. Had to ask for coffee from the other server. Just overall lack of attention. I’m a Terroni fan - but will not return to this location. The reservation asked if we were celebrating a special occasion - which we were. There was no follow up. Why ask if you are not going to do anything special?

I found the place too noisy- music and people. Next time I would try upstairs. Service was good. I think pizza should be served with a knife that makes it easier to cut.

When you make your reservation, make sure you specify "Downstairs" if you have trouble with stairs because they're very steep and long here.

It was fine overall but nothing special. Took them 35 minutes to take our order and then we were forced to leave for another reservation while we were still eating dessert and finishing out wine. Won’t go again.

The restaurant ambiance was good. However food was lacking in quality. Our dinner arrived to the table in less than 10 minutes from ordering. It arrived before our drinks made it to the table. The ravioli looked like they were swimming in water. The gnocchi were cold even though order to table was approx 7-8 mins. The pizza crusts were too thin. How they can cook a pizza in 7-8mins is questionable as well. The dinner felt very rushed. We were given a dessert menu before we were even half done our main course. Unfortunately not a great experience.

Terroni on Queen is a beautiful place. Great atmosphere. Appetizers were delicious but unfortunately the mains were very average. Pizza was good. Pasta came a bit on the cold side and lacked the flavour we were hoping for. I had been there about 10 years prior and had high hopes for this occasion but unfortunately I was let down this time.

Have been dining at Terroni fir many years. One of our favourite spots in Toronto. Food is delicious. Somewhat on the expensive end of the scale, but worth it.

Food was great as always. So was service. I don't recall any past visit being this loud. It was difficult to hear each other in conversation. This was on the new upper floor. We were a table of 4. Any larger would have made it impossible to converse beyond the people right next you. Maybe, because it was a Friday night - hopefully not a new norm.

Usually, we are very happy with the service, but yesterday was a disappointment. We initially ordered water and some bread. Water arrived after about 10 minutes. Bread never arrived. Server seemed to be very distracted and somewhat stressed. The restaurant was busy so, perhaps he had too many tables to serve. Hopefully, our next visit will be back to the standard we’ve come to expect and enjoy from Terroni.

Food and service was excellent. Our only complaint was seating. We had an early reservation and the entire half of our section was empty. Towards the end of our meal the hostess seats a table right next to us while our entire section remained empty. Ruined the mood to the point we skipped dessert.

Food was very good, as expected from Terroni. My pasta was ever so slightly over cooked but everything else was exceptional. Our waitress however was not, as she did not know the menu, and repeatedly nonchalantly and somewhat aggressively threw stuff down on our table. She also forgot who ordered what and was essentially auctioning food and drinks off at our table. At one point she was serving the table beside us and in the middle of my group’s conversation she just turned and stared us while we were talking, it was super awkward. All in all a good night, just wish the service was a little bit better.
