The birthplace of Terroni— 720 Queen Street West is where it all began. When we opened in 1992, with seating for a handful of people, word of mouth quickly made Terroni Queen a neighbourhood favourite.

Waiter, Wayne, was horrendously rude and pretentious. Made us feel stupid for asking for pepper, didn’t ask if we wanted drink refills. Blamed other staff when food didn’t come out together.

We ordered pizza margherita and rigatoni arcobaleno, food was “ok”, nothing special. The server was flat and kind of pushy, a lot of room to improve in terms of service. Definitely not a fine dining experience and not a place that I would go back to, tried many Italian restaurants that were a lot better!

Terroni is one of my favorite restaurants in the city and I have been going here since I was a child. The pasta I got was amazing and fresh but my family got pizza's and we noticed that the dough was not the same. The crust is usually our favorite part but we fond it to be dry and not fluffy enough. If I go back I will only get their pasta.

The spaghetti al limone was absolutely delicious, as was the pizza. Our server was so wonderfully pleasant. The topper for us the availability of non alcoholic beer and cocktails. We loved the renovations with increased seatings.

Normally I love Terroni but the food isn’t as I remember pre covid lockdown. The calamari was so salty and the prices are a bit high for what you get. Over all not the worst but everything is small and priced high. It isn’t a fine dining experience so a bit shocked at the prices for what you get. Over all not somewhere I would go back to.

The largest challenge in growth is maintaining what made you successful. We’ve been patrons of Terroni Queen since it was a few stools and a counter. The recent expansion manages to maintain not just the ambiance and energy but great staff and consistently high quality of food. Accolades all round.

We came here to have a nice dinner with conversation but they sat us beside some loud group of house-wives laughing like hyenas every 5 minutes. I could barely hear my friend across the table from me. Regardless of that situation, the food was nothing special, I had the Tagliatelle alla Bolognese which came warm not hot. My friend ordered the seafood pasta that came steaming and she highly enjoyed it. My Bolognese was a 2/5 it was very bland, but the pasta noodles were great. I had the tiramisu for dessert and it was the best I’ve ever tasted. The waiter told us upon entering we had until 8:15pm for our table as we got there at 6:30pm which is fine, but the waiter dropped off the bill soon after we were finished our meal and she also gave us one bill, didn’t even ask if we were ready for our bill, or how we would like it. Again, not a big deal we can work it out ourselves but just not cool. I would give it another try at a different location but I wouldn’t come back to this one.

Don’t even dare ask for parmesan on your seafood pasta. Friend ordered seafood pasta and wanted parmesan cheese on top and was told he can’t because the chef doesn’t allow it. They were even hesitant to give parmesan for the table afterwards to the others that ordered pasta. I don’t get why they have a weird fixation on no parmesan on seafood pasta. Sure they might not like it or recommend it, but if someone has a preference for it, let them have it. Super strange in my opinion.

Server was very rude and rushed us out even though we still had more than half an hour on our seating limit. Brought bills right away even though we wanted to order more things. Made us feel very unwelcome.
