Overall experience was great, however, the noise level is higher than expected. Can’t carry a normal conversation.
End of school
Great location with a lovely patio and views of Toronto. Service was impeccable. Enjoyed the pasta with home-made sausage and truffle flakes! Lots of G-P parking nearby and close to the subway.
The food is always amazing, the restaurant itself is neat to look at with tons of space, and the service is always pleasant. The only downside is sometimes it can get a little loud, but it's worth it.
The food and service is always amazing at Terroni’s on Price st!!!
A sudden rainstorm disrupted our patio stay but the real issue was a drunken patron making passes at our partners. Why would the restaurant serve someone clearly drunk? The food was, as always, reliable.
A true gem. First time at this location and it is stunning. Got the chance to sit out on the patio and the experience was electric. So much great energy. The food is consistently amazing. Have never had a bad meal at Terroni, and this is across their several locations.
We have been to Terroni summer hill previously and really enjoyed it. This time the food was much below par and they seem to have tried to cram even more tables into the space so things were much more crowded and noisy than our previous visits. Not sure if this is new management but definitely a step down.
Service was great… I will definitely come back again. Can’t wait to try out the patio!
We ordered plain penne pasta for our 3-year-old grandson as soon as we arrived because he was hungry. They brought spaghetti instead. Our wine came, our appetizers came and our pasta main courses but still not for my grandson. We asked several times before it was finally brought out when we were almost finished ours- not good!
It was my birthday and we had a great time. Waitress was friendly and professional . Food was tasty !
Delicious food and fantastic service! Terroni is always a consistent, awesome experience!
we were a larger party of 8, server was very quick to get our plates taken after mains, even while two people were still eating...had to find the server to open the second bottle that was left on the table that we ordered. had to ask for a clean water glass. I ordered a cocktail and it never came...It was a busy saturday night but still no need to be rushed out of our seating, as we were the last seating (departing at 10PM)...wine list is AMAZING! don't order the steak..stay with the pizza pasta which they do best
The reason for the low rating and why I felt the experience was overall terrible it comes down to the service. The food was good, I was enjoying my pasta, I asked for some parmesan cheese and as one of waiters was putting the cheese on my pasta a fly went into my plate, his reaction was to tell me to take the fly out and continue eating, that they were flying around, they come into the restaurant and it's not their fault. I do not like confrontation and did not want to make a scene since we were celebrating a special occasion, my sister's graduation. I was surprised he didn't offer to change my plate but anyway did what he said and took the fly out myself and tried to continue eating but couldn't, I completely lost my appetite. I told my waiter what happened and ask to take the pasta away, he said "okay" and came back a few minutes later with a small bag with the pasta to go. Why in the world would I want the pasta with a fly to go? We just thought the waiter had misunderstood so I tried to explain it one more time, after two words he says let me call the manager. Long story short, manager comes to our table and tells us the best he can do is discount the pasta because I had finished it. We had to explain to him that they put the pasta to go and that I didn't eat it. At the prices and the level of service we were expecting from Terroni we think they should have had a better response overall. Any other restaurant at this level would have offered to change the plate for a new one once they saw what happened and would have certainly apologized for the incident, instead they asked me to take the fly out and keep eating. Very dissatisfied with their response. We are not the kind of people to ask for anything for free so we didn't ask specifically not to pay for it and ultimately paid for the pasta. But putting the pasta to go, asking me to take the fly out and most importantly never apologizing for the incident makes this a one-star-experience.
I made a reservation over one week prior to arriving. We were celebrating our 25th anniversary. They were seating us next to the kitchen and we had to request to be moved. I don't understand why they would seat someone celebrating a milestone next to the kitchen - it does not make sense. The food was good, however it was very highly priced and one item which surprised me was that for a milestone, there was nothing which was complimentary - not a coffee or desert. The waiter was a bit arrogant and overall the experience was not great. I would not go back again.
We had a reservation and were not seated until 45 minutes after reservation. When asked why, we were just told “we are behind tonight”, and that was all that was done.
Everything else was fine.
Uno dei migliori ristoranti italiani di Toronto. Prezzi in linea per Toronto. Ambiente molto bello e di classe. Visto quello che costa potrebbe usare almeno le tovaglie x i tavoli.
Most uncomfortable seats and packed in with waiters and other patrons bumping into us. The service was average, my steak wasn’t worth the price but my dates truffle pasta was really good and the sommelier picked a great wine for us to enjoy. For a $200 plus meal there are way better places to enjoy in Toronto
Great food and wine. Somewhat rushed by the serving staff when there was no need, there were empty tables around us. Would definitely go back though.
Great food. Great service. Close to home. Always meets our expectations.
Service was not great, food wasn’t any better. The sommelier was extremely helpful and we had a delicious bottle
Of wine, which was the best part of our dinner. We had a meat and cheese platter and it was not worth the $24 at all. Overall not a great experience.
Always a treat when we eat at Terroni -Summerhill. The food, the atmosphere and the service are exceptional. It’s a perfect place to have lunch with a friend on a Saturday afternoon.
The service was terrible from the get go. We love Terroni but we’re very disappointed by the service received. Left for ages before even a drink order was taken. Food came quickly once we ordered but again, it took over 30 minutes to place our order.
Couldn’t find a better spot with such a great wine collection, awesome fresh food for amazingly low prices considering the quality. 10/10 would recommend for any occasion.
Had a fun night out with friends. We shared a bunch of dishes and everything was delicious!
Food is very good - they are super rigid with menu!
They don’t have any milk alternatives for those with allergies or intolerances. Annoying
Our server was so fantastic and lovely, she put such a smile on our faces. Excellent food and service as always. We love the ambiance at Terroni, and the price street location is our favourite one.
Very disappointed. Even though we had a reservation we had to wait 20 minutes and they didn’t offer us so much as a bowl of pretzels. The environment was noisy and sound really bounced. Food was fine but the menu was limited. Also disappointed that while I had indicated this was a joint birthday celebration they offered no little extra which many restaurants would. We went at 6:45 p.m. and there were lots of families with small children. Nothing wrong with that but not the place for a romantic evening or adult celebration.
Very mediocre food.warm water served initially. Good appetizer of grilled calamari. Salad was mediocre. Pizza was unsliced, burnt crust, meat was tasteless.
Terrible server. Never came to check in or ask us anything. We’d always have to ask for him or waive for his attention
My husband and I were at Terroni several months ago and had an amazing meal with great service so he picked the restaurant for his birthday. First of all the service was terrible. My husband ordered a beer while the rest of us had wine. The sommelier was excellent. When he brought the wine and realized my husband had not gotten his beer he got it for him. We were served bread and had to ask if there was butter or oil to go with it. Another beer was ordered and that took 15 minutes. When the food arrived a good while later it was warm but not hot. We had all ordered pasta and had to ask for cheese and pepper. We never got the pepper. My husband’s pasta which was the special was not edible. They did take it off the bill.
We do live in the neighbourhood so it was quite disappointing. We were with friends from out of town and had raved about how good it was. They were not impressed.
Took 1.5 hours to get food, food wasn’t great (I’m a regular for the last 10 years and it was off), and they only comped us our app and my friends wine.
The food quality has been slowly declining over the years. The pizza with charred at the ends and had no favor.
My only complaint for my most recent visit was the room temp. It was very hot... besides that love the decor and feel of the place
Having read reviews about poor service and no food substitutions allowed (including no cutting of pizzas), we were somewhat reticent about going. Glad we did. Amazing food and better still, we got excellent service from staff, especially, our server, Jessica M. She was able to provide really good suggestions for all including vegetarian options which was really appreciated. Her kindness and attentiveness made it a special family dinner, especially, for us who were visitors. Also learned that it wasn't as busy or noisy as usual (perhaps because of the Raptors playing that night) so the ambiance was ideal: one of superb dishes (including pizza), good company, and ease of conversation. Thank you Terroni for the lovely meal and memories you created. Consider yourselves highly recommended.
Terroni has a very pleasant buzz to its atmosphere but is still comfortable for a lunchtime conversation. The menu is creative and the food tasty. Portions are not too large which I prefer. Service was outstanding - friendly and helpful but not at all intrusive.
Good but loud hard to have a conversation
We had a nice lunch at Terroni today. Our server Jill was very friendly, and our food was good for the price you pay.
Delicious! Great atmosphere. I don’t like eating Italian as I am italian and I have a high standard. They were spot on. Beautiful rooftop patio. Great service- amazing food.
