Very cool spot with amazing Italian food and drinks. Very modern and casual atmosphere. Can get a little loud. Shame you can't reserve the patio area and there are very long queues to dine there.
Excellent dining experience on the terrace. Sat at the high tables and no place for my purse.
food was very good - female server was was excellent-
best part was dining outside in their rooftop patio
I joined a friend for lunch - the service was friendly and very helpful. Food as always is exactly what you come to expect fresh ingredients, full of flavour and enough to satisfy a good hunger. The vibe is always positive. Highly recommend.
Great place for a saturday italian lunch . Would recommend
First time dining at Terroni, Summerhill. I would definitely recommend this restaurant. Our server, Ezra, was attentive, knowledgeable and personable. Excellent food and service.
Delicious food, very loud and busy, arrived at 8:15 for 8:30 res and waited till 8:50 to be seated. Overall a good night but annoying to wait on the side vs a bar or something cuz there was no room
We booked for dinner and sat upstairs. Noise level was soooo loud we moved downstairs.
The service was not the best, menu was very limited in the bar area. One of the mains arrived not very hot. We sent it back and basically finished the meal with one dish short. The manager offered another dish but we were told most would take a while to prepare. So we just managed with one meal missing and shared. Not a great experience.
Unfortunate, as we brought friends to try Terroni for their first time. Was a bit disappointing. We were not charged for the plate we sent back. No offers were extended to compensate for the disappointing experience.
The restaurant was amazing! My husband and I had a great dinner, the server Maaor was very kind and attentive with us.
The only thing I would say is the restaurante is too loud, beside this was everything super nice!!
We will be back for sure!
The noise Mable is far too high especially when one considers the table request for the least amount of noise and privacy. We were seated along a line of three other tables all with noisy young children.
Please read the special requests when reservations are made. Our whole evening was spooled by the noise factor.
Not very accomodating with the slight change in dish. Portion size was minimal for the price, and not as exciting as we thought it would be. Service is how I put it as ‘meh’, meaning the servers didnt really care. Maybe consider Italian servers for an Italian restaurant who appreciate the Italian culture. 14 year anniversary was memorable because the Terroni experience was not impressive at all. One of my favorite restaurants at one point, is now a restaurant I wouldn’t care to go back to...too bad.
Pizza was good, a little pricey. Ordered the insalade verde, for the price, the portion should be a larger
We had a really nice dinner and the staff was very helpful. We did request a table on the patio which they could not accommodate since it was not covered and you would have been in the sun the whole time. It was a vey hot and humid day so we decided that that would not be very comfortable and took a table indoors.
Terrible table right near ordering station. Very loud. None of the charm of the restaurant. Surprised to be seated at such an awful table. Round near kitchen. A truly unpleasant evening.
FANTASTIC AS ALWAYS!!!
Consistently great food, great service, amazing staff.
sat on the beautiful patio, very crowded on a saturday evening but food and service were great; love the patio
Great food and service, but would appreciate it if they would take reservations on the patio. Some tables at the main dining area are positioned in a busy walkway and don’t make for a nice ambience.
our wedding anniversary.
We were crammed into a tiny table for 2 against a wall at the back of the restaurant next to all the families with children, even though the other tables were half empty. We were well dressed. Waitress was dressed in sloppy track pants like she was going to the gym. Menu looked interesting but portions tiny and food was bland. We were rushed through our meal in one hour and when we left most of the tables were still empty. Pasta (caccio e Pepe) was raw. Not even close to 'al dente' and barely a few forkfuls. Zucchini flower dish was disappointing.
Maybe ok for some young people that don't know better. Fine dining prices without the fine dining.
Always well prepared delicious food and a nice scene.
Went here for lunch and sat on the rooftop patio. The view is great and the patio is well laid out. Service was great. Food and drinks came quickly. Not my first time here, and won't be my last.
Birthday lunch with family
The patio at Terroni is just beautiful! Makes you feel like you’re in France or Miami. The patrons seemed to be more families which was interesting. For drinks I had the Aperol spritz which was very good, and the tagliatelle Bologna’s—also very good! Our server was not very friendly/very curt which soured the experience a bit.
We were very disappointed by our level of service in particular. Our waiter was very inattentive. It was hard to place an order for a drink. He didn't seem to care about us. Attitude was snobby at the door, on the patio and the waiter was on of the worst we've ever had. We had drinks and left.
Normally Terroni’s is bustling and loud, but we were fortunate to be seated in the ‘fishbowl’ which allowed us to have full table conversations without yelling - best experience at This location to date!
They are not the most flexible - read not flexible - but the food is good and there is something for everyone. I suggest this for families and friends - just not people who need any kind of adaptation to their meals as they flat out will not do it.
Beautiful rooftop patio with great views of Toronto skyline. Pizza and lasagna were both very good. A bit noisier ambience than we would have preferred for a dinner for two but otherwise very good.
I love this place.
Excellent service. Delectable food. Table ready when promised.
This is an overpriced pub with mediocre food and appetizers for the rich in the neighbourhood. There is nothing special about it.
I will never go back.
Waitress was indifferent and had awful attitude. She also charged us $15 for just some extra plain noodles for my sons pasta and never told us. Told GM. He gave us a few deserts (the lowest level thing to offer) and still charged us for the cold espresso that I sent back. This was a special night as my son who is 12 was in from camp for the night only. Value not there. Plates piled up with waitress walking by and ignoring them
Our waiter Jose didn’t get our drinks correct didn’t bring side plates refused to do a double order of an appetizer for a main course selection overall was scattered and seem too busy even for a 5 PM reservation.
Did not have a good experience here. The food was terrible and I'll explain why.
Burrata cheese - It wasn't fresh. The outside of the cheese was firm and the texture and taste was more like a giant bocconcini ball. Not at all what burrata is supposed to resemble.
Spinach tortelloni - overcooked and mushy. Every piece fell apart. The pasta was also severed in a pool of butter and salt. Like half a shaker of salt - this is not an exaggeration
Risotto ai Frutti di Mare - risotto was slightly undercooked and doused in lemon juice. Lemon was literally all you could taste. Made the entire dish sour.
Bufalina Pizza - my 3 year old son was eating this and half way through we realized the bottom of the pizza was completely burnt. I tried a piece and it was awful! All you could taste was burnt sooty crust.
Our sever was really nice, but the service, not so great. She kept forgetting our order. Took a really long time to bring bread to the table - we had to ask twice.
Brought mine and my husband's meals to the table and we have to wait another 10 minutes for my son's pizza to arrive -- when we previously asked for the pizza to come first.
This was our first time to any of the Terroni locations and based on our experience we won't be returning again. We drove an hour to have our anniversary dinner here because we heard so many great things about it. We were really disappointed by the whole experience.
Upstairs rooftop terrace is amazing! Feels like you're on vacation in the city of Toronto! Love it. Service was mediocre as our waitress gave a bit of attitude when I pointed out that she did not correctly split the bill. Also she didn't refill everyone's water glass at our table. Food was good. Bread and olive oil always consistent. My special Saturday pasta ravioli of beef ricotta with sage butter was overcooked - bit mushy. Would go back for the rooftop terrace - the main attraction.
Consistently great food. Had a reso but couldn't sit on the patio without forfeiting the reso and going on a patio wait list. Sort of defeats the purpose of a reservation. The noise level inside was excessive. When you can't hear the person across the table, the restaurant probably doesn't need to turn up the volume of the music. It's a restaurant, not a bar, after all.
Food and service were decent but it seems to always be so noisy (regardless of different times/days of the week)--makes it hard to have a conversation or enjoy people's company.
There was some confusion with our party as we arrived separately and they gave away our patio table. It was very loud inside. The food as always was good.
We had a reservations for 8:15pm on a weeknight but were not seated until 9:15pm. There was a line up of people that had reservations. When we got to our table, our server did not bring us water or bread. We had to flag him down to order drinks and our meals. We ordered the bread and olive appetizer and received three crackers with like four olives... Our food was really good, but we didn't see our server for over an hour and had to ask someone else to bring us the bill. When we got our bill, we settled up with the machine and before I was able to input my pin, the server grabbed the machine from my hands. I usually really enjoy this restaurant, but it was a very poor experience.
Terroni is a great little restaurant with a friendly vibe and really good food. However it is so noisy that it is impossible to have a conversation without shouting!
Our waitress seemed off that night. We asked for a vegetarian menu. She said we should just look at the regular menu and everything on it could be made vegetarian. Then when we asked for the pasta without tuna she said no even though the vegetarian menu offers the same dish with no pasta. Maybe she was having an off night
