   For starters, the hostess in front house was so nice! Very friendly and inviting. Our waiter Ben J was so awesome! He was very attentive, very friendly, and tended to put every need. The meal was fire - this is coming from someone who doesn’t even like barbecue. The chicken tacos with the spicy jacks bbq sauce? To die for. The chicken was so tender and juicy. The ribs, the brisket? Fall apart. Seasoned to perrrfection. What the heck is that butterscotch root beer? Magic in the mouth? The sorcery! I will definitely be back!

   We ate outdoors and unfortunately, both the traffic noise and the lack of staff attention were challenging this visit. I think they are understaffed at the moment, and since it was quite busy, the staff was stretched thin. The sausages are terrific, the slaw and potato salad quite good. I love the bun that comes with the sandwiches; however, the brisket sandwich is so stuffed that it ends up being a knife and fork sandwich. Also, this time the brisket was its usual fantastic flavor but quite fatty.

   Good food —even if sides are somewhat salty— barbecue is moist and smoky. Service is warm and welcoming; with great cocktail choices.

    Dropped into Texas Jack's for a family reunion lunch; had preciously ordered only carryout brisket (excellent). Imagine our surprise when our waiter, Victor, recognized us from times when we frequented another local restaurant where he was then working. We always remembered Victor for his great service and engaging communication. So glad to cross paths with him again. Add to that the fact that (1) food was excellent (2) portions were ample but not overwhelming; (3) menu has choices for nearly everyone; and (4) we never felt rushed. Great experience; we'll be back!

    Food was good and came quickly. But - the dish I ordered (nachos with chicken) — and came out with pork instead of chicken . I was surprised when I was told they were out of chicken and has decided - without asking -to substitute pork.

    The beef brisket was the BEST I ever had ! And everybody in our group agreed. It was a delicious meal, the server was very prompt and friendly. I wish I lived in the DC area, I would go to Jack’s frequently as we love BBQ. Ended up ordering 3 big pacs to take home to friends -!!

    Outstanding!! Everything from the food, to the service to the atmosphere. This is one of Arlington's best kept secrets. I've been passing by this restaurant for months and had no idea what awaited on the inside. I will definitely be a regular.

    We had an excellent waitress. The Brisket sandwich was amazing and we tried the platter that provided ribs, pulled pork and brisket. Excellent smoke flavor and delicious barbecue sauce. I would definitely come back.

    The food was delicious! Quite pricey but tasty. We really enjoyed the deviled eggs, brunch omelette with brisket and the large medley platter. Only minor piece of feedback was that the cheese in the omelette could have been more melted.

    First time visit, everything was great!!! My 8 year old is a Mac n cheese connoisseur and he said theirs was top 3 in the world!!! Brisket was lean but moist, perfect crust. Would highly recommend this place.

    Front service lady with blondish hair very rude. Had reservations and told the other man to seat us and we could “ squeeze” 5 people in bar area, if we wanted or wait !!!

    Even though we witnessed one busload of people leaving the restaurant and another busload coming in we were waited on and served in a timely manner. The food was outstanding. During the pandemic we weren't always thrilled with the food but last night was the best the food has been since before the pandemic.

    This was my first time here and I'll say it won't be my last. My family and I got the brisket egg rolls, cornbread, collard greens, baked beans, and the meat medley and all of it was fairly good. The best meat I had was the brisket and ribs, they were seasoned to perfection! We also enjoyed the mint berry press and smoked whiskey sour, both delicious drinks.

    Great place, my group loved it. The food was really good and the service was great. We had reservations for 5PM on a Saturday night and that was the perfect time before it got really crowded. I would reccomend this place to anyone who loves bbq and I would definitely go back again.

    The food at Texas Jack's Barbecue is fantastic! My favorites are the brisket, Mexican street corn, and German chocolate cake. The service is always friendly. There are lots of tables outside, and the restaurant has a great energy.

    It is noisy in the restaurant but it is a sports bar! The brisket on the sandwich was delicious very lean - which I very much prefer. Great brussel sprouts and street corn too.
