scallops | miso glaze | bacon | sprouts oyster mushrooms
Food was good but the crazy loud music killed the experience for us.
We just dropped in for a bite while shopping - had the tuna tacos, lettuce wraps and mussels. All really good - mussels were amongst best I have had and I order mussels often. The mussels had a chili taramind sauce I believe.
First off service was incredible and had a great time. The drinks were yummy. Had oysters which were amazing. Ordered the Brussel sprouts as per usual but they were incredibly greasy. Ordered two tacos. ( fish and tuna ) fish was great tuna was very bland. The menu was extremely limited and that may be due to the pandemic so I can’t really complain there. Will be awhile
Before I go back
Music was way too loud. I’m confident everyone eating there would appreciate not having to yell across the table.
Totally amazing food! Limited wine list. Very loud music! Hard to talk and our ears were ringing after leaving.
Great food great drinks
Tables too close together and
1 1/2 time limit sucks!
Cozy chic spot. Amazing service. They specialize in Small plates, cocktails, and of course, oysters! Oysters are definitely the star of the show.
Great food and service !
Innovative dining. A really enjoyable combo of relaxed and elegant. Can't wait to go back.
This is my favorite place to eat in all of Newfoundland and Labrador. The service is always great and the food is extraordinary. Never fails to impress me. Always changing the menu with more exquisite plates. love it.
Best place to eat in the city. Food is always top notch as well as the service. Love the lively atmosphere.
Truly a wonderful experience! :) everything from being greeted at the door, the service, the speed of service, the drinks, the food, AMAZING!
Noisy restaurant but service and food is superb
Great food, great cocktails, and great service every time.
Awsome as always. There's a reason I keep coming back :)
The noise level is beyond tolerable. The service and food was great but you can barely enjoy anything when things are that loud. You absolutely cannot hear the people at your own table. Definitely would not recommend, which is a shame because they have a lot of good things to offer.
Happy 7th Adelaide. Thanks for yet another incredible night with friends. Good drinks. Good food. Good music. Good times!!!
Vibrant spot with great food and an energetic staff. Loud, for sure, but a lot of fun and good value too.
Always amazing food, great drinks, and a fun atmosphere. It’s loud. They know it. We love it.
Every drink and plate was superb and the oysters were amazing! We’ll be back for sure:)
My favourite place to eat in St Johns, best restaurant hands down. Food, drinks, staff are outstanding
All food was good. We tried everything on the menu.
Amazing time last night. Mitch was awesome.
Excellent dinner and delicious drinks. The oysters were amazing!!!! Only negative thing I have to say is that it is SUPER loud and hard to have a conversation with the person you are there with.
From the music to the food to the drinks to the service…10 out of 10!!
Though my below review is accurate for the experience we had, I would like to commend the management for following up with me immediately and offering to rectify the issues and offering a gift card for a future visit (Thank you Jennifer)
Booked for tonight September 22nd for our 29th anniversary.
Kobe beef lettuce wrap was over cooked mussely meat pattie, lemon grass noodle bowl had burnt noodles and chicken (actually tasted like something that you forgot in the pan/oven and was inedible)
Ordered fish taco and received a tuna taco which arrived at the table 5 minutes before my husbands app (we specifically make sure there is no cilantro listed in the menu) when we eventually got the proper taco it had cilantro though it wasn't listed as an ingredient.
Tune poké also had cilantro that wasn't listed as an ingredient.
It cost us $65.00 for a bottle of wine and an app (kobé lettuce wrap) that was not good and then we left to go get something edible at another restaurant.
Sooooo disappointed in your restaurant.
Fabulous experience but very loud. A little quieter would have been nice for table talking. Our server Mitchell was top notch!
Excellent all around. Music a bit too loud for us, but otherwise a great dinner and experience.
Third time to Adelaide. Consistently great food and cocktails. Great staff and awesome energetic environment
Great atmosphere, very hip
Great food and cocktails
Great music blasting - could hear my dining partner but not the other table’s conversation so good for privacy. Perhaps not as good for a party of 4 or more though.
Would we return? Definitely. Try the crispy fish taco and the kobe beef lettuce wrap - and get a few extra napkins! Very juicy!
Fun crowd and excellent food. Fish taco - outstanding!!
A very good place to have amazing food, nice oyster. We had a good experience there. Recommend for energetic people for the ambulance.
I love Adelaide Oyster House. I’ve been on several occasions and each time I visit the prices go up and up. This time the food and drinks were fantastic as usual however the prices were insane. We each had one drink, and shared 1 small plate of sashimi, 1 small dish of Brussels sprouts, and 3 tiny lettuce wrapped tacos and the bill was over $100 after tax and tip. Drinks were $14 for a cocktail and $10 for a tap beer. We were left so hungry we had to go elsewhere to fill up. Also the menu has a legend for GF but nothing on the menu was marked GF or able to be made GF, making it very difficult to plan in advance if you have celiacs disease. Excellent food but don’t plan to have a full meal there.
Amazing first time experience
The food and service were good it was a bit pricey but the extremely loud music spoiled what would have been a good experience
They didn’t have the choices I was interested in. Very little available on the menu. Suggest management do a better review of ingredients needed for the wee/weekend.
Best oysters ANYWHERE!!
Food was amazing as usual and our server was outstanding! She was cheerful and attentive to our table of 8.We will be back again no doubt😉
The oysters were out of this world. The scallop ceviche was to die for. The music was spot on. The crowd was alive! Thank you for an unforgettable experience!
