   I'd say this is an ideal spot for drinks and small plates. For a full meal, the menu is a bit limited and it gets expensive quickly

   Nice food, attentive service. The ambience suffered from the lack of patrons: only two other tables were occupied for a Sunday brunch, which should be a very busy time. Perhaps the location, busy area of the market in Ottawa, lack of free parking or the fact restaurant is in a hotel, have to do with this.

   The food was truly amazing, and the service was beyond perfection. Personalized service and table setup like I asked :) The price was just a little bit high to make it a weekly/monthly thing, but overall, very happy with the experience!

   Fantastic location for pre or post show cocktails if taking in events at the NAC, SAW Gallery or OAG. The menu rotates so some favs my disappear. The cocktail and wine menu is excellent.

   Had a group of 6 people for a birthday. It took 30min for the server to come back to our area, and we asked her where our wine bottle was. She casually mentioned “oh we checked and didn’t have it in stock”. They couldn’t even come back to tell us this, let alone come get our food order. Food took forever to get. Fish and chips were soggy. Just horrible experience.

   Great tasting food! I got the AR burger and my partner got the carbonara. Both were extremely good and we were very impressed. The parmesan fries were amazing and definitely a highlight! We ended the night with the bread pudding and it was the best bread pudding we ever had. It had some chocolate in it and paired with the ice cream… it was absolutely exquisite. I’d recommend the bread pudding be heated a bit more but otherwise, the taste was on point! We would definitely come again and it’s definitely one of our favourite restaurants in Ottawa.

    Great trendy restaurant for cocktails and shared plates. Our 4th time and we'll return as the menu slightly changes from time to time. Beautiful decor and atmosphere.

    Ordered charcuterie. Took a really long time despite the place being not that busy. When it finally came out it was missing several of the items we ordered.

    May be there was not chef but the salad I ordered was not fresh, with a different cheese that should not be in the salad and there was dressing. No spices either. On another dish the size of the hummus was laughable. Not impressed I regret to say!

    Great charcuterie and cheeses. Scotch Egg and Duck wings were fantastic too. Perfect service from everyone (especially the Batman who made excellent lemon drop martinis). We will be back.

    We came to Ottawa for a family trip. This was our best meal. Service was exceptionally friendly and kind, food was excellent and atmosphere was comfortable. Highly recommended even if you have kids!

    Me and my husband with three of our friends booked a table at this place for a New Year's Eve dinner. There was no effort made to make it a festive dinner. Neither in decor, nor in menu or in service. For $250 for two we got 5 dishes to share that were in reality a portion for one, but to be shared for two. In the picture you can see the first course - cold cuts and cheese for 2. There was literally one raspberry and a half of a brussels sprout on the plate. There were 3 pieces of cheese, that were likely leftovers from the breakfast, by the looks of it. Another dish to share was a whole beet in the middle of the plate, also to share for two. The third dish was tasteless hand-made pasta with mushrooms, with no salt or any seasoning and no salt and pepper offered. The dish was cold and it was also to share for two. Two people were expected to eat it from one plate. The main dish, trout, was edible, but the whole place stunk of fish. The dessert was OK. We were made to wait for each dish for a very long time. Even when we asked for our bill and said we were in a hurry, we didn't get it until we went to the waiter, and even then we were made to wait for the bill. This was a very disappointing experience. Regrettably, I will not recommend it to anyone.

    Had a fantastic five course new years experience. Service was excellent, informative and attentive. We will certainly be back for regular service as the regular menu looks amazing. The dinning room is spacious and seating was comfortable. Thanks for a wonderful evening.

    It was an average to slightly disappointing experience eating at the Albion Rooms on Wednesday, December 28th. Though the hotel has a wonderful main room to utilize, we were relegated to a very small space off the main entrance and bar area. As for the food, it was quite inadequate in terms of portion sizes and for the price paid. We ordered about 8 items between three people. The mushrooms were the most flavourful and bountiful dish that was presented in a lovely bowl. The duck breast prosciuitto was also tasty as part of a very sparse charcuterie board. The Charlevoix cheese was enjoyable as well. The beet salad, the crudité plate, and the veggie bowl were among the saddest dishes I have every eaten. We had three cocktails that were nicely presented and enjoyed. Though it was indicated that we would be celebrating our 45th wedding anniversary on this evening, it was not even given any note. Suffice it to say, though this was my third time at the Albion Rooms, I will not be returning nor recommending it to friends.

    I love the ambiance of the dining room, so I was a little disappointed that it was closed and we had to sit in the side dining room, which is nice but not the same experience. Otherwise, the food was great and the waitress was excellent.

    Really disappointed about our experience at the Albion rooms. Had made a reservation in advanced and called the day of to confirm - upon actually arriving the waitresses were fairly rude and unaccommodating, seating our party at two separate tables although we had confirmed our party of 10 would be seated together. Super disappointed although we asked to be moved to the long table that was set out for us, they refused 3x lasting over an hour before finally moving us. The rest of the floor was almost empty the entire duration of our visit. Service was very poor, the food was okay but overpriced and not much meat for the price. Multiple drinks that were on the menu ended up being unavailable which is fine I guess but the waitresses couldn’t even bother to pretend to be apologetic about it. Would definitely not recommend this place to friends and family. Such a let down especially after all of the positive reviews we had seen online. Really put a damper on our special night.

    Very disappointing evening. There was a large party at a table close to us and to our server we did not exist. We kept trying to flag our server down to ask if we could order our main course. We were so thirsty and tried to flag anyone down who was looking our way to ask for a refill of water. We wanted dessert but no one came to ask if wanted any. We had to search for someone to give us our bill. Leftovers we asked to take home were thrown out so at least they made a new batch for us to take home. We will never go there again due to the terrible terrible service and just ok food. Very disappointing.
