    We live nearby and have had excellent meals in the past. However our last meal there was not at a standard we hoped for. My wife had the salmon, a meal she's enjoyed before but this time the salmon was perched on a supposed -to-be crispy rice cake which was sitting in a pool of bok choy fluid (which of course soddened the rice cake). The salmon ,in her opinion, was slightly overcooked but had good flavour. I had the scallops which were perfectly cooked and sitting in a bowl a tasty mushroom risotto. No vegetables so ,while tasty, not particularly inspired. The service was excellent and the atmosphere great so we will likely visit again and hope for a better meal.

    We were there for Dine Around. We had the Duck Confit Raviolo Appetizer. It was delicious but needed bread for the sauce. The strip loin steaks were very good but no sign of the au jus, carrots perfectly cooked, but sliced potatoes were greasy. The dessert hit was the panna cotta. The blueberry tart crust was soggy. The young men were asked if they would like a refill of their cold drinks, young woman did not get asked. There were long stretches between courses, although the dining room was almost empty. We were not asked if we wanted tea or coffee. However, alcoholic drinks were pushed. Beautiful decor but disappointing for the price.

    Enjoyed the 3 course dine around menu - delicious. Pre dinner cocktails were yummy and the live music was very enjoyable. A perfect night out with friends

    Three of us had the Dine Around menu and the other ordered salmon. The presentation was great but portion sizes were small. No complimentary bread was offered. The flavours of the dishes were OK but nothing stood out as great. It is a beautiful dining facility with lovely live music and attentive service. It is expensive which would have been OK if the food lived up to the cost.

    Food was delicious. Portions are smaller side. Desert was good but 1/2 scoop ice cream came with it. Like I said smaller side portions. Service was great. Appetizers - ordered the bread but small portions.

    We visited the Arbutus room dining area as part of Victoria's Dine Around program in January and participated in the 3 course offering. This is a lovely venue and excellent for an outing that may include touring across the Mill Bay Ferry. The seating is lovely and the food good to very good. Our party had an enjoyable evening.
