    Four of us enjoyed a delightful Sunday Brunch at the Barn. Eggs Benedict and Avocado Toast were two favorites. The only food disappointment was that the Beyond Burger mentioned in the on-line menu wasn't available. The service was attentive and the ambiance quiet enough that we could enjoy our company. We will rebook on our next visit to Williamstown.

    Just ok. First off...it's brunch on Saturday. We order decaf and it's cold. Hmm. My falafels were definitely old and fried more than once. Hard has carbon. Rest of the meal unremarkable at best. Tables are close to each other so I definitely wanted to whisper so my neighbors didn't hear all my business.

    We were walk-ins the day before at 5:30 and although the restaurant and outdoor patio were nearly empty we weren’t seated, but using Open Table we booked for 5 the following day. We enjoyed the patio, had great cocktails, service and food, but found the host rather cold and distant, even if with a reservation. Despite being adjacent to a well-known New England college, we wondered if our experience had anything to do with being two men dining together.

    We got married at The Williams Inn and celebrated our first wedding anniversary at the Barn. James was our waiter and he was the best! He gave us champagne and a wonderful dessert recommendation and was just overall so kind and thoughtful. The food was delicious and it was a wonderful experience. We will definitely be going back (for date nights and celebrations!) It was lovely!

    Noted that we were celebrating our anniversary and they did not do anything special. Two years ago they were more attentive to our special occasion. The food was not as extraordinary.

    As they have been every time we visit, the team is delightful, knowledgeable and so kind. The food was again amazing (we had two different soups and pastas) and the barkeep makes a scrumptious old fashioned ! Thank you!!

    Had an outstanding time at the Barn! Arrived early from out of town. We went to the bar at 3:30 PM and were greeted by a very friendly bartender named Greg. Our dinner reservations were for 5:15PM. I have to say, for a reservation of five all our dinners were outstanding from traditional bolognaise to skirt, steak the chicken wings, clam chowder and fondue appetizer. Everything was outstanding. Thank you to the staff of the barn. Excellent job.

    Love this restaurant - my friend and I sat outside on the terrace for a lovely tomato soup and grilled cheese lunch! Wonderful service, and I highly recommend this wonderful hidden gem!

    Very lovely surroundings. My friend and I both ordered a burger. He asked for “rare” and I asked for “medium rare”. We both got fully cooked burgers ( no pink or red). Although the manager told us as I was leaving that he was going to comp us a desert ( which we did not order) the correct thing woukd have been to take the burgers off the bill. In transparency my friend and I were offered a “redo” of our order but we lacked the time to stay an extra 1/2 hour or whatever it might have taken. Overall we would return but the kitchen needs to adjust.

    The service was great, the food was excellent. The portions were huge, as i get older I can't eat like I used to. A senior portion option would have been appreciated. We will go back.

    8/13/23 Great tasting breakfast! Beautiful setting. Supper value. Wait staff was a bit overwhelmed as they were short handed and one cook called in sick. So not the wait staff’s fault, which were very pleasant. Thus it took awhile for our food to arrive and to get coffee refills. An explanation when ordering would have been nice and probably saved a few complaining dinners when we were there, thus the 4-star overall rating. We will definitely be back despite this minor inconvenience.

    Food was good, and nicely presented. The interior was stylish and inviting. I also liked the lighting which was not overly bright. But the service was terrible Our table was ignored for the first 15 minutes -- they didn't even bring us water. Mid-meal we ordered a second round of drinks. We slowed eating our entrees so we could enjoy them with the wine/cocktail. Those drinks came 20 minutes later, long after our food was finished and cleared-away. Judging from the drink's temperature, the bartender had prepared them, but they sat on the counter waiting for the waitress to deliver them to the table.

    Staff and service is excellent. After dinner, sat at the bar - Bar tender is excellent. Skilled with craft coctails and made an excellent recommendation for wine. Relaxing atmosphere, and great vibe. We will be back again for sure.

    We waited for some time to get our first drink order (a bottle of water, in all fairness it seemed like our waitress had tables inside and outside for some reason), the food was just okay, the calamari was, aside from the aioli that came drizzled over it rather than in a cup to dip (my preference) and the banana peppers, was kind of tasteless, though the texture was good. The atmosphere is nice but the prices are kind of high for mediocre food.

    The dining room is a lovely, airy modern space with well positioned tables. The outdoor space is also very inviting. The food is good basic fare, but nothing special. The salads came in awkward bowls that were high on one side and short on the other. It was difficult to negotiate the contents without spilling on the table. A flat plate would have been better. While the server was very energetic and attentive taking our order, the wait time was far too long for simple salads and sandwiches. When we ran out of water, no one noticed. The dessert menu was limited and too rich for lunch, and so we passed on that.

    Having had a wonderful dinner the prior evening; this was the total opposite. The only difference; the server? We ordered a bottle of wine and it took 15 minutes to get to us after three other servers helped. Our salads arrived in good order…thirty-five minutes later, restaurant was less than half full, our dinners arrived. One was fine, ; the medium well burger was burnt through…when we asked for the bill we told the server we would be bringing the remaining wine to our room…she then proceeded to put the cork back into the totally empty bottle…we took our glasses and fled to our room….

    The service was impeccable and highly professional. Our server was amazing! She helped my husband with his dairy allergy and consulted with the chef every step of the way. The timing between courses was spot on. The menu choices are extremely limited; what they do offer is top notch. We had a lovely meal in a lovely setting; very relaxing and enjoyable experience.

    I ordered avocado toast and my friend ordered scrambled eggs. Both were well presented and delicious. Service was attentive and our coffee was refilled a few times. We dined inside and it was quiet and relaxing. A perfect place to celebrate any occasion or just because.

    We were 15 minutes early for our reservation and were promptly seated. The steak with chimchurri sauce and broccolini, the salmon with watermelon and the apple tart were delicious. Only the calamari appetizer was a disappointment - rubbery texture and the lemon aoli was not a hit. Nice atmosphere. Initially a bit noisy from an outdoor wedding reception at the hotel, but in a festive, happy way. Once the reception ended, the dining room was much quieter. Service was attentive.

    Great food and atmosphere. Wish the menu was slightly larger with all of the options…chicken, beef, pasta, fish, pasta with meat. What we had was excellent though and will definitely return!

    Service was not satisfactory. There were six at our table.and three meals were not prepared or fulfilled properly. We had to wait too long to get our waitress’ attention many times, even though it was not very crowded.
