Nicely and efficiently welcomed (reservations using OpenTable worked perfectly). Really good service / truly beautiful surroundings overlooking the vineyards / very good burgers - would definitely return.
Great on nice day with view overlooking the vineyard. Only negative was arrogant host.
The burgers, beer and service on the patio were great. We would pass on the seafood poutine next time.
We felt very safe and comfortable dining outdoors on the patio. Food was delicious and service was great.
All the food was amazing....Imagine how good ice wine bacon is! and on top of a delicious burger. Great staff and atmosphere and the food arrived very quickly. Thank you!
It was ok not many choices if you burgers then it’s the place for you to go.
View was beautiful and the burger was absolutely delicious
Just stopped in for the charcuterie board, salad and some wine. Excellent service. Nice view as it was sunset over the vineyard.
Service was awesome and pleasant. Food acceptable portion size. Pleasurable taste but ho-hum presentation.
The host and wait staff were very good. Seated in a great spot to see the vineyard but with an overhead heater as it was getting cool. Much appreciated.
We knew that the food options were limited but we were disappointed in the burger that we thought would be great as it is really almost all that is offered. Not really that hot and actually seemed like it was not freshly cooked but perhaps warmed up and then assembled. At least that's the way it seemed. Certainly not a burger to rave about.
Would likely return for drinks.....wine and/or beer and a snack......but not for dinner.
Food was very tasty and portion sizes were generous
We e not told that beforehand that there was a one hour limit per table. Covid was stated as the reason…. Otherwise we would have gone elsewhere.
We were meeting put-of-town friends and were rushed through the meal. We could not order a second bottle of wine and were told that there was no coffee, no tea, no dessert. They really wanted us out of there! Yet there were empty tables everywhere and it was 1:00pm on a Tuesday.
We are quiet, mild-mannered retirees, with money to spend but they obvisouly did not want ours!
Very good service / refreshing cocktails / tasty burgers in à picturesque vineyard setting.
We had out anniversary lunch. Beautiful spot looking over the vineyard. Tables were socially distanced. Great food, and great service
The food was awesome and the atmosphere was beautiful and relaxing.
The food offered was very good. Same the service. I only gave them 3 stars as they have only one dessert ( ice cream) which I understand, however, when we were there, the ice cream machine was out of service and no other dessert offered. Considering that there is another restaurant on the premises an alternative should have been available. I found this very arrogant behaviour, when we are in a pandemic and trying to help the industry.
I would only recommend the barrelhouse to a friend for the ambiance and the booze. The food from the barrel house was nothing special when compared to a backyard barbecue. Worst meal we had when visiting Niagara on the lake. Disappointed in the quality of food given the expectation based off of their actual dining room food quality.
Perfect setting and as always great service from Nicole
Great view over the vineyards and food was tasty.
VERY limited menu. Basically just burgers which were dried out through overcooking. The 'bowls' were not 'bowls' but just small salad plates. The lobster poutine was tasteless with canned lobster tossed on it.
There was no dessert as we were told the ice cream maker was not working.
We are locals. Have previously had good experiences here, but shall not return!
Birthday, service was great, and location is perfect
The food was awesome and especially the service was outstanding. We have had the pleasure of dining in various restaurants around Canada, US and the UK and our server on this day was one of the most professional, friendly and knowledgeable person we have had the pleasure of meeting. Thank you again.
We did not like the Chefs Signature burger patty at all. It had a gamey flavour - but not in a pleasant way- our general impression was not pleasant. (I've had all kinds of burgers, from picanha, lamb to turkey and pork)
On reading the menu I missed that the default Chefs Signature patty was not 100% beef (because the other alternative option was a 100% beef patty)
Supposedly that day the patty was a mixture of pork and beef - however consensus at our table was that it was closer to lamb or something more gamey.
The grill food and service is not up to par with the main restaurant. Good was average, came to table cold.
Cold food. Not so friendly service. View of vineyard was disrupted by some construction of a wedding being set up.
This restaurant was great and the server was amazing. We had a great time. However, upon arrival the hostess who was a grump man led us on a wild goose chase around the different restaurants all for our reservation that was simply right in his area. He was very rude, told us to wait behind a pillar and helped the people behind us and said “please move on the other side while I seat my guests” but we were his guests too. Weird.
The burgers and poutine were average. Service was average. View was nice. Bottled wine was costly.
With a pretty awesome day planned with a friend for a long time we got dressed up and headed to The Barrel House Grill. It was highly recommended to me. Overall the experience was not what we were expecting. From the table setting to the poor quality and presentation of the food. The server was good and attentive but I would not recommend and very disappointed with the experience. I had booked to take my husband on Friday night for date night but have will cancel the reservation.
Food was amazing! Drinks, delicious!
We had a reservation for 5:30pm, made a week in advance. The patio was about 60% full and we were seated and brought water, then no one came back to the table again.
Twenty minutes later and with multiple wait staff passing us but not stopping to even take a drink order, or acknowledge that they would be coming over as soon as possible, we left and went to Inniskillen instead.
My husband let the hostess know why we were leaving on the way out, she did not seem surprised.
I cannot comment on the quality of the food or drink since we didn't have any but I did think the menu was quite limited and the drink options were expensive.
This was our first and last visit to Peller Estates.
Fantastic lunch on the patios!
We went for a patio lunch on an incredibly hot day with very little breeze. They should consider ceiling or floor fans to move the air around, it was crazy hot. The food was delicious, a bit pricey but good! Overall a good lunch but check the menu before you go as it’s pretty limited. The frozen Riesling was yummy!
We all had burgers and they were all good. One person had fries and they were pleasantly surprised how good they were because never had salt and sugar on before. Our waitress was very good and the grounds are very beautiful. Good time was had by all.
The choice of music was horrific, I felt as though I was watching a horror movie just before something bad was going to happen. When we asked the server to change it I heard someone tell them the manager would not allow them to change it. Not a good response.
Average grill food, nothing exceptional. We were seated in a timely manner but remainder of service was very slow for a day that was not busy.
I expected a quality burger
Save your money the food is terrible. One of the worst meals I've had in a long time.
The restaurant had an amazing view of the winery but the food was subpar. I forgot my bag of candy I had bought earlier in the day and came back and witnessed the host give it to another table with a child and when he saw me complaining to the servers he took it back and gave it to me - horrible.
