   Had the Asparagus and Scallops starters which were very tasty. Mains we had the Fillet steak and chicken which were well cooked although Steak not the most tender. Service was good and attentive. Very good food for a pub.

   What an amazing restaurant. Fantastic professional friendly staff. Food superb. Lovely atmosphere. I have coeliac disease and there were loads of gluten free options to choose from on the menu. Would 100% recommend.

   The food was excellent and the service attentive as always. The Bath Arms is always good!! Only small bit of concern: There was mussels in my dish and would have like to receive a little bowl with water for my fingertips and a bowl for the shells. Received a bowl for the shells and a paper napkin for fingertips upon request. Possibly make it an automatic thing with any shellfish.

   We booked for a birthday lunch, a very simple efficient booking system, confirmation by return. We arrived early thinking we could have a drink before sitting down to be told our table was ready if we wanted to sit right away. A very helpful staff member showed us where the wheelchair access was and we sat at a lovely window table. Menu’s a wine list arrived with the offer of a drink which was ordered. A full and comprehensive wine list at the average for today, the menu was not extensive but had a selective and interesting variety of dishes to offer. Hubbie had a backed Camenbert with orange jelly and an assortment of slices of bread, then the roast topside of beef with all the trimmings. I had An assortment of bread with Balsamic vinegar and olive oil with a dish of pitted olives followed by a Fillet of Seabass with Moule. The quality of the food was excellent and so were the portion sizes, as was our choice of wine. We declined dessert but finished with a superb double expresso coffee.

    We had a lovely meal at The Bath Arms. A great menu with a lot of choice for both gluten and meat free options! We loved the Prosecco glasses our drinks were served in, and all the staff were friendly. The only small negative is we were made to feel like we needed to leave at 10 pm, aside from that I would definitely recommend the food and atmosphere.

    The service was brilliant, friendly helpful and genuinely personable. Unfortunately the food was below standard and made me feel sick later that evening. I had seafood and this definitely wasn’t fresh. The scallops were tiny for the price of the starter. The steak was asked for medium rare and it was well done. The Chucky chips were nice. I wouldn’t recommend this place purely on the food.

    What a great pub restaurant! We were a a table with a child. They made the kids meal first while the adults sat and deliberated the menu. So many options, that all sounded delicious, it was difficult to choose. I went with the fish scotch egg which was perfect, for mains I had the butternut squash burger with halloumi, fries and coleslaw....it was fab and was nearly as big as me! A brilliant night was had by all, we all left with smiles on our faces! We will be back 😀

    This is a delightful pub, well situated and with a pleasant, relaxing ambience. The only thing that stops it being 5 ☆ are the prices for food and in particular wine, which seemed to be a little on the high side! Having said that we had a pleasant meal and the hand cut chips are amazing!!!

    Having booked a table ahead of our stay at the Bath Arms, we expected it to be in the dining area - but no, we were stuck in a walkway in the bar area- with loud music and dogs everywhere. Had to order at the bar which we were not told about - food was ok. Breakfast was very good however, the staff were friendly and made us welcome

    Main meal was very salty - I did give my opinion to the waitress to let the chef know. Meat was tender and well cooked, but the fricassee was over salty. I put this down to the overload of bacon . Dessert however was divine. I had the chocolate Felice and it was superb.

    Unfortunately we didn’t have the best experience. We got shown to our table fairly quickly and then we had 3 different waiters take our drinks order, food order and check on us. The waiter that then stayed with us was lovely (I didn’t catch his name). Between ordering and receiving our starter there was quite a wait and then unfortunately another hour wait between starter and main. The waiter did keep saying, it will be soon. I ordered a steak, medium, which came out quite well done and was chewy. My partner ordered the chicken and said it was quite bland. We didn’t get checked on during our food, just when we had finished. We were honest with how we felt and we were offered a free dessert. Unfortunately we didn’t have time so instead my steak and sauce was taken off the bill which was appreciated. Looking at other reviews I was surprised by our experience as it seems people are normally very complimentary about the food and experience. Perhaps they were just having a bad night? I would give it another chance, it wasn’t terrible just not the birthday evening out we had hoped for.

    Best dining pub in Cheddar. Interesting menu, food cooked perfectly and presented superbly. They really took this pub up a few notches a few years back and it's great to see they've kept up the standard.

    Ham and eggs, were very good. I had the Sunday roast and it was mixed opinion, the yorkshire pudding was really good, the roast potatoes were a bit hard on the outside and my beef was tough. The girls were helpful and pleasant, but on arrival, we checked in and stood at the bar, a gentleman came over and indicated to show us our table. We were going to get some drinks first, but he just walked off, so we had to follow. Not very pleasant attitude. Waited for someone to come over to take our drinks order, but in the end had to go to the bar to get drinks. Nice place, but not impressed with some of the service.

    The food was very good! I had pork belly. Very tasty, excellent Yorkshire pud. Really hot really enjoyed the food. The service could do with a bit more training. We had to keep asking for some attention! I appreciate it was very busy but isn’t it standard that you get asked if everyone is ok for you? After a few minutes of getting your meal. We weren't asked at all! We had to ask for our cauliflower cheese that we ordered with our meal but didn’t get with the meal until we asked for it! We wanted another drink, we had to ask a waitress passing again. No one checked on us again after being given our meal. Just feels a bit of a shame as the food was excellent but definitely needs work on the service.

    This is very good food, restaurant quality in a gadtro pub. Scallops with pork delicious. They served Gurnard for goodness sakes. But also pub classics. A glass of South African Chenin blank was lovely, the local beers fantastic. It is relaxed dining, the noise could be lively if full. The staff were completely wonderful and friendly. It is priced for the holiday makers but is good value for imaginative and skillfully cooked food. We were delighted with our visit.

    The meal was superb, I had the crispy beef for starter, it’s a must (trust me) with the burger for mains and sticky toffee for desert. My wife had the asparagus with poached egg for starter, Gurnard fillet with scallops, mash prawn & white crab. For desert was the fruit crumble. One again this was superb. I would highly recommend staying at the hotel and enjoying the wonderful food and service

    Spacious venue. I was very impressed with the multiple options in the menu, including food intolerances or preferencss include gluten free, diary free, vegetarian, and vegan options. Portions were very good size. After a few kilometers walk in the area each adult had one main and ig was enough food. They also have a kids menu.

    No greeting on arrival order at bar and told after ordering they did not have the starter I ordered was left with no other option for me to eat . The main was cold and potato's really dry and tasteless . My daughter enjoyed her starter but not the main . Husband enjoyed his but will eat anything . Would be OK for burgers but not for a nice meal out . Put to dine next to group loud women just having coffee's and one that coughed continuously. Overall for me personally a lousy experience.

    We stayed at the hotel and decided to eat in the restaurant too. It was a good decision. The menu wasn’t extensive but had something for everyone. The good was well presented, very tasty and good value. The staff were attentive and nothing was too much trouble.

    If you want quality food, with excellent service then Bath Arms is a must. We’ve never had a poor meal here and the staff go out of their way to ensure you have a good time. Highly recommend this place
