    We were greeted promptly and shown to our window table. Our drinks orders arrived quickly and food orders taken. The meal of calamari and salad was delicious and just the right size. And we were thanked for eating there as we left. A good experience and to be recommended.

    It was ok, not awful, not good enough to have me rushing back. Staff were very pleasant but not exceptional (were left waiting for ages even after being asked if we’d like to see dessert menu, desserts were served with just a spoon when a fork and spoon would have been more appropriate). Food was alright but felt like it may have been sitting under a heat lamp for a while before serving. Disappointing as it is a great location and local to me. I would go a lot more often if it was a reliable quality experience

    I have eaten at The Beach House for lunch on several occasions. It is a consistently enjoyable experience. The location is stunning right on the beachfront. The staff are friendly and welcoming, efficient but unintrusive. The food is delicious and the menu varied both in offerings and size of servings.

    My husband’s steak was tough and my meal was over cooked. The chips were dry and lukewarm and the first piece of fish was beautiful and the second piece the batter was ver dark and had a burnt taste and the fish was dry.

    Huge range of GF options, large range of small meals as well as full sized meals. Food tasted great and sitting outside in the sunshine was very pleasant. Took a little while to get the food but it was very busy so understandable. Waiter attentive but didn't hover.

    Both meals - the lamb shank and the Thai curry - were very tasty, although it took a bit more than 30- minutes from the time we ordered until the food arrived. That was ok for us on this day, but still not ideal. All other aspects of our dining experience were positive.

    The Beach House is a lovely local gem. Fabulous food, creative interesting menu and specials, that are generous in serving size. Staff are friendly fun and knowledgeable. A great dining experience. I highly recommend it to anyone for any occasion.

    Food was cheffless. No interest in the chips. Fish flaccid. Salad tasteless. Music was boom boom and oldies hate that. The service was tops. Don’t attack the food with a subwoofer! It’s a social occasion. The cashed up like to talk without a jack hammer

    Excellent location, views, beach... Staff always welcoming & friendly. This restaurant has become an upmarket pub meal. Upmarket because of location. I live near this restaurant and have visited often. The decor and food and ambience has deteriorated: prices have not. Bit cold now in temperature and environment. Half dead, 'named' plants surround diners. In the tropics this might work but not Blackmans Bay. Frozen, deep friend chips, deep fried schnitzel on bed of chips, seafood chowder with minimal taste, ... I don't like saying this cause I know this industry is hard work, BUT, I know it was better. I would not recommend this restaurant to a friend, I have before, but not now. Again, I know this industry is hard work. Just being honest. Because of location it is now a good snack, coffee, wine bar.

    We are regulars to the Beach House and when we have interstate visitors staying it is the best place to take them for a beautiful meal, fantastic service and great outlook.

    Food was lovely. We had the pate for entree and lamb shank and pork belly salad for mains. Service could be improved. Arrived 15 mins early for a booking to be told that our table was not ready even though there were many other tables in the restaurant. Had to wait for a couple to finish. Finally seated at the table. Waited for 20mins while another group was seated and menus given before we had to ask for a menu! Not the best first impression!!

    Almost always have a great experience here, but last night the food was poor. Ordered the chicken burger and it was a huge disappointment. 80% bun and $20% filling. Dry and unpleasant. Two tiny pieces of chicken and no flavour.
