Really liked the ambiance, but compared to other similar places the food was not amazing (but it was good). Too many pizza-like things, and spreads that go with bread. Even the meatballs came with bread.

Delicious sausages, pate and cheese on the sausage board; marvellous variety of tastes in the Railtown Wrap with chicken, highlighted by the flavour of arugula; friends greatly enjoyed the veggie burger and ramen bowl; a most satisfying celebration of a friend’s 70th.

A few of us got together here to catch up. We wanted somewhere with a good wine selection and good food and somewhere we could chat. The wine selection is definitely varied although a little high on cost. The food was tasty but given it’s tapas style it was disappointing that the only easy to share plates (ie not soup or a pork chop) were ones that were heavy in grease and all of them came with bread. It would have been nice to have some healthier options. The service was good to start - attentive, allowed for tasting wine before ordering - however once we stopped ordering our server brought us the bill immediately then never came back. No refills of water and we had to flag her down to get another glass. The music was also way too loud. Unfortunately not sure I would run back here anytime soon.

The service is always amazing and the staff go above and beyond. The gnocchi is to die for, and the hummus, pizzettes, and tomato soup are all superb. The ambience is magnificent, although I wish the music in the evening was quieter.

Vancouver Urban Winery is my most favorite to take out friends who enjoy wine and nice ambience. The wine flights are the best thing with 5 different glasses of wine, and can complement any food you order. The food is not typical of bar or pub food, no deep fried fast food version. Each plate is delicately prepared and of a good variety, for example, we order the sausage artisan cheese board, duck confit risotto, flatbread, ink squid pasta with nuts and spice, and of course the famous apple and pear crumble as dessert. Prices are very reasonable, on average $10 - $20 per plate, and the portion is pretty good, too. Be prepared that you only get 2 hours for dining as this is a very popular and trendy place for even late diners. Enjoy and have fun with your friends there!

Really cool space with great food and ambiance. We had the green chickpea hummus and the sausage board. Both were fantastic, but keep in mind the portion sizes are smaller, and it’s a good idea to order a few dishes to share. Wine and beer flights were also good. The prices are pretty on par for Vancouver dining. My main concern before going was the area of town - it actually isn’t that bad, though what each person sees as a sketchy area can differ. For Vancouver standards, it’s a little questionable, but it’s not going to keep me away. Would definitely go again to try more of their menu.

We love this place! Family style service is awesome and they change up the menu frequently, so always new things to try. Nothing has ever disappointed, so far! The Sausage Board and Bacon Mushroom Pate are must-tries and the Meatballs are outstanding. Any of the veggie dishes are great .... we had the broccolini this time .... mwah!!

The Belgard Kitchen has an excellent BC wine list, something we've been searching for these past few years. There is a lot of variety, plenty to choose from (red, white, sparkling, rosé). The food was delicious, inspired and unique. Lots of options for many diet types. The service was good, the vibe was great. We'll be back!

We visited Vancouver for the holidays and found this restaurant by searching online for the best casual restaurants. Dinner at the Belgard Kitchen was one of the highlights of our entire trip. The atmosphere was excellent (located in a brewery while retaining a classy but casual atmosphere). Our dinner was one of the best meals we've ever had. Everything was prepared expertly. We hope to return.

Food was excellent but they ran out of chicken and dessert and our reservation was at 545....we’re they not expecting customers? I expect more from a restaurant of this quality, especially since we came for the chicken.

I was very disappointed that I was limited to 2 hours seating when I had a table of 10 people starting at 4:30 mid-week. That policy needs to be better communicated and in my opinion should only apply to reservations during peak times.

Also the service was slow - we had to order 2x from the bar as more people arrived as the server wasn't on top of helping us.

We like The Belgrade Kitchen. Interesting food cooked perfectly and a funky ambiance. Usually not too noisy so people can talk to each other. Never had a bad server although we did feel a tad neglected this time.

Wow this was an incredible find in Vancouver. Was visiting for the weekend with my Mom and I am absolutely in love with this restaurant. I am already craving the delicious gnocchi back in Los Angeles! The red wine tasting flight is a must try. Found my new favorite wine 'Clos du Soleil.' The cauliflower was absolutely to die for, and the rock shrimp was so flavorful I miss it so much! The staff is incredible and they are very knowledgeable of their menu. Love wonderful service, and you will definitely find that here! Very pleased with our experience here and I can't wait to return!

Scrumptious and inventive share plates and energetic atmosphere! We could have stayed for hours just eating, drinking and talking. The menu was varied with lots of vegetarian selection that would still appeal to any carnivore. Love the charred octopus panzanella and green chickpea and avocado hummus! We all ordered different dishes to share, but there is more to try for the next time we dine there.

A couple of points of mention: 1. the restaurant is located in a very sketchy area. I was glad we chose to carpool so we could walk together. 2. Reservation for 6 was made about 3 weeks in advance, and we were still only able to get in for an 8pm seating. Groups this size on a Saturday night could try for an earlier time by walk-in or book a 545pmish dinner instead.

We had a fantastic dinner at Belgard Kitchen, I would eat here often if I lived in Vancouver. We had the copa cabana pizzette which was wood-fired glory. The yam gnocchi with lamb ragu cannot be missed, and the wagyu meatballs with grilled buttered bread completed our superb meal. The only downfall is that I wouldn't recommend walking around the neighborhood, so plan to drive or take a cab.

Rude hostess ... resos were for 6, but 2 people couldn't make it so it was just 4. Turns out they set the table for 8 and when I told her it was just 4, she was very huffy about it. Waitress was nice though.

I came here for our anniversary with my boyfriend. We shared a bunch of food and had two wine flights. We were seated in a more isolated area which I appreciate and were also given complimentary champagne for the special occasion. We really liked the cheese board to share and loved the oatmeal cookie with cinnamon raisin ice cream for dessert. Overall a great date night experience :)

Chicken was too salty. Server did not advise it was best to get a few dishes and share rather than order entrees of menu. Chicken came with capers which added to salt factor. Would be nice to have 1/2 litre or 9 oz glass option for wine.
