The Belgard Kitchen
Located in Railtown, we provide a diverse menu selection with three distinct offerings -- Lunch, Brunch + Evening.
Spacious bright & comfortable room
Food quality very good with appropriate portion size
Food was really good. Great beer and wine options. Ambience and service were also great.
The Belgard Kitchen was delicious. My husband and I did a red wine flight, sampled a beer or two and had glasses of wine - all of which were tasty. We also shared one of the meet/cheese boards, which was delicious.
My only issue is that the location is not really near anything else/in walking distance. On top of that, Vancouver does not currently have rideshare options available (Lyft or Uber) so taxis or bikes are a necessity. The staff was really awesome in helping us get a taxi and the wait was only a couple of minutes.
Solid food. First time trying the dinner menu, after many breakfast/brunch visits. High quality ingredients, great presentation. Enjoyed the tapas-style menu. And of course, the decor and ambiance was unique and fun!
Met a local friend and had a wonderful shared dishes meal in a very cool atmosphere. Craft beer was great.
I really appreciate The Belgard Kitchen chefs are so willing to make substitutions. It can be quite difficult to eat out with different food sensitivities, but it's nice to have the options that Belgard provides. I'm getting married there in November, and every time I eat there I feel more excited about that!
Great for a drink and the ambiance. But the food is way overpriced with nothing on the plate -what's there tastes great. The service is suboardinate. We always had to call them down and often forgot orders.
Too expensive for the amount pf food that we ate. The food was good but we wanted to
Have lunch and we were offered the brunch menu.
Jillian was my server and she was absolutely wonderful. The atmosphere was very beautiful and the noise level was very tame. Would definitely come here again.
The food was excellent. We really enjoyed the different salads. It was great to have so many yummy gluten free options and veggie options.
It was so unfortunate that our night was ruined by poor service. Our waitress was slow. When it came time to pay the bill, she was rude. My father asked that she give him a minute while he reviewed the bill and paid it. She hovered over his shoulder. When he asked her again to give him a minute she said "I'm not trying to steal your PIN". It was just so unnecessarily rude. My dad is elderly. We were there to celebrate his birthday and she really killed the mood.
Despite loving the food and the atmosphere, I can't say that we will return after we were treated like that.
Unique building, delish food, fun wine flights.... all around fun night! Our server Lila (?) was fantastic!
Great food. The craft beer was amazing. Loved the atmosphere. The high ceilings large doors and industrial decor are so cool. Will definitely go again.
After a pleasant night with my niece we went to our car and discovered it gone. First we thought it was stolen then we called City of Vancouver 511 and they told us it was towed away. Apparently there were several other people from the restaurant that had the same problem. We all jumped into a cab to go and pick up our cars at the depot and paid a hefty $144 plus $60 parking ticket
The cab driver told us that this happens often and he laughed at us. The parking sign said 1 hour parking from 9-6pm with an arrow pointing right and beside it another sign saying no stopping from 9pm - 6am. This was confusing and deceiving. If this happens very often the management of the restaurant should advise the customers about the problem and put a sign at the entrance.
A very disappointing evening!!!
Our evening at the Belgrade was absolutely lovely. Our server was attentive, the food was spectacular and arrived with perfect timing and was hot. I enjoyed a glass of the house red, a smooth mix of Syrah and Merlot and my husband had an Aussie IPA. I love the casual atmosphere of the room and looking at all the historical decor. Would recommend it to anyone.
Interesting history and ambience, food was excellent and there were varied options, cauliflower and hummus was great, great wine and beer store on premises, great friendly staff who love working there!
Happy Hour - limited menu options but good food none the less
I liked everything except the portion size, the flank steak with rice looked like its for a 6 yr old kid, had to order another entree and no I am not a big eater by any standard, otherwise the place is great.
Always a good experience. Service somewhat slow tonight. Been coming here for a long time, and will continue to do so. Risotto amazing tonight.
We have been curious about The Belgard Kitchen for some months now and finally went on Saturday March 2nd at 530pm. We were not overwhelmed by the atmosphere when we arrived, BUT, as the evening proceeded it became enchanting and Superb. Our Server was exceptional and made a difference in our overall experience. Food - Funky Tapas, Great Flatbread, Substantial Portions which resulted in our missing a number of wonderful items - Which Means- We will be back SOON. Overall a truly lovely surprise and we can't wait to return. Thanks to everyone at TBK for making a memorable night for my wife and I. Very Special. Ralph
Excellent beers (Postmark Brewing know what they’re doing!) and good food. But it’s the ambience that really makes the experience.
Very charming place, love it
Fantastic food, service, flights of wine and beer and ambience. Always Perfect for get together or a regular night out.
The temperature was a bit cold so plan accordingly. The food and service wonderful.
The warm kale salad was delicious, however, the rest of the meal did not live up to the reviews. We had the gnocci was ordinary without much taste. The risotto was better, but still not up to par. Wine was enjoyable - nice one from the okanagan valley. The meal was rather expensive without delivering anticipated culinary delight :(
What an amazing hidden gem. Great food, even better service.
Amazing experience! Great food. Love coming here !
One of my favorite places in Vancouver! The food was incredible, the service fast and welcoming.
This is a great spot for lunch and drinks! Their menu has a good variety of tasty choices and as a brewery, they have great beers and even wine on tap!
I took my aunt and uncle here, from out of town. They absolutely fell in love with the setting the aesthetics of the place. The staff was also super friendly and well informed. Definitely a great spot that I plan on visiting again.
My partner and I very much enjoyed our meal, gnocchi was great, the tiger prawn ceviche as well. The service was very good and the food arrived quite quickly. My only minor complaints would be that our table was very small and the choice of Music seemed incongruous and a little obtrusive.
But without a doubt I would come back again and I completely recommend going to The Belgard!
Great beer...great food....great everything!!
The Belgard Kitchen has been added to my short list of favourite beer/food eateries. Many places in Vancouver area serve great craft beer but there are not many where the food is also innovative and first rate. Not only great for craft beer lovers but also a great selection of wines, even wine flights. The ambiance/interior is very unique and perfect, in an old building in the downtown east side that has been renovated with character. The area can be a bit rough if you are not used to this area of Vancouver but has never been an issue for me. Looking forward to my next visit and another Postmark Juicy Pale Ale.
Good vibe, amazing service. I have been here several times, food was better than the other famous brunch restaurants in Vancouver downtown. Not perfect in every level though. I wasn't satisfied with their coffee. I would recommend this place to other friends for casual brunch.
Have been here a couple times now and the menu is front to back outstanding!!! Flavours are off the chart good! Highly recommended this restaurant.
Such a cosy spot during the Holiday season!
You can enjoy a flight of wine while waiting for your table at Ask for Luigi.
Service was subpar. Server we had barely came to check on our table and looked disappointed when we didnt want to stay. Amount of food vs. price was not worth it and in my opinion, should have more options. For being marketed as post mark brewery they also did not have very many options for draught beer but for some reason, the take out window for growler refills had more options? A nice place to try, good place for wine and just a place to hang out with friends but will probably not go back here after my second visit unless they change and add more items to the menu.
Belgard kitchen is a go-to for brunch with my friends!
I love the food at Belgard - cant go wrong here! Service was great as well...as per usual! Cheers!
Had a fantastic Sunday brunch!
