This wonderful village pub has grown an exceptional reputation for its food, drink and modern relaxed environment. Since Chef proprietor Harry has moved this pub / restaurant from strength to strength serving only the very best fresh ingredients cooked to a high standard. There is a separate bar and restaurant with a beautiful garden and ample parking for this excellent destination eatery 20 minutes from central Cambridge. The Black Horse is open Friday to Sunday, serving amazing evening meals, lunch, breakfasts on Saturday mornings, best Sunday roasts in Cambridgeshire and fresh fish and chip takeaway.

Lovely meal Saturday lunchtime. Shame it was not busier. Pork belly was delicious but crackling needed longer to crisp up. My aunt enjoyed her sea bass. The Lotus Biscoff cheesecake was yummy. Great, friendly service.

The first time we have eaten at the Black Horse and it was qute a find. The food was excellent - The Roast was tasty and well cooked and smelt of home cooking. The desert - apple and blackberry tart - was perfect. The best desert I have had in a restaurant for years. It was quiet and we could hear ourselves speak - a nice change from the hectic, big gastopubs nearer Cambridge. Well worth the drive from Norfolk.

Food was very well presented and the portions were good. Meat was cut thickly and pink - unfortunately there was quite a bit of grizzle. Would definitely go again.

The food was great Staff very friendly ,Definitely go again I had the beef and it was lovely presentation was also good wish I could make Yorkshire puddings like it and the dessert was delicious .

Fantastic roast dinner, better than home cooked and you don't have to wash up! Plenty of food, really delicious, all plates were empty. We are a family of 4, 2 adults two children, everyone loved it. The only bit of feedback was that the pint of coke was very flat, it tasted like a bottle that had gone flat but apart from that a fantastic local pub for a roast, pint of beer and a glass of wine!

Yes again, another "best-I've-ever-had" Sunday roast- one beef one pork. Truly delicious, presented impeccably and every flavour a delight. Really interesting mix of vegetables alongside lean and tasty meat.

The whole experience was wonderful, the team looked after us really well and had the perfect level of service to make sure we had everything we needed without being overbearing, the food itself was also amazing! The Sunday roast was incredible both my partner and I were very impressed also bring over extra gravy without even asking (super touch for me as I love extra gravy) overall it couldn’t have been better! Will be returning again soon Thank you team!

A quiet village pub which we travelled 6 miles to after reading very good trip advisor reviews. We were not disappointed because the quality of both the food and the way it was cooked were both excellent. There was a lovely ambience and we were looked after very well by friendly and attentive staff. Thank you!

Food was lovely but charging for an extra Yorkshire pudding and just one very small dish of cauliflower cheese between 5 is pretty poor. The deserts are also over priced.

Very pleased with our evening! Good service, good food, very friendly! Cannot understand why Willingham, Cottenham and Rampton people don’t use this pub more! It was a quiet night for them, which was a surprise to us. They keep it very clean and good looking. Can’t think they can do more to draw locals in!

The garden is roomy, and with a good atmosphere. Service was prompt, polite and friendly. The menu choices are not too numerous, and we were very satified with our choices of wild mushroom tart, and fish and chips which my husband claimed were the best he had had for several years. Overall this was a very good experience.

Very warm Welcome into this lovely little pub, we had the Sunday roast which was lovely although I am not a fan of roasted peppers and onions , much prefer traditional veggies like broccoli, parsnips, but that is just personal preference. Service was very good from a lovely lady. My only criticism is that they do need some fly deterrents in the garden, either flytraps of citronella candles would help. Overall nice village pub with very friendly staff
