Each igloo is decorated for the holiday season, heated, equipped with a wireless bluetooth speaker to play tasteful music of your choice and includes spectacular waterfront views of the Swift Creek Reservoir. Igloos seat up to 4 guests with a 2-hour time limit. There is a non-refundable reservation fee of $15 per person due at the time of booking. A 20% auto gratuity will be added to your bill. We reserve the right to cancel the reservation at any time due to weather, in which case your rental fee will be deferred to a date of your choosing based on availability. No smoking or vaping in the igloos or on the patio at any time.

    We had a great experience in the igloo and the Thanksgiving buffet was really nice. The problem was that because we had the latest reservation, a lot of the food was gone or very little left. Our server didn’t pay us any attention. Our drink order was never requested. Our server finally saw us and commented that she didn’t know we were seated and she didn’t get to greet us with water. We assumed she was going to bring water and take our drink order. She never came back. We had to go up to her while she was sitting at the outside drink station on her phone and ask for water. To which she filled a pitcher and handed us the pitcher instead of bringing it to the table. We aren’t picky or difficult but this was the worst service we’ve ever experienced.

    If you find yourself with no family around at Thanksgiving, this is the place to go. Great atmosphere, wonderful service, outstanding buffet with all the classic foods and so much more. Reasonable price and worth every penny!! Every meal here is exceptional.

    I've been to this Boathouse on a number of occassions both during and after the pandemic. I know they automatically add a 20% surcharge to each check. I was told this is a tip for the server. If u plan to leave a tip for excellent service, it's over that 20%. However, yesterday my server informed me that the automatic 20% gratuity does not go to the server. Just makes the whole experience a lot more expensive. I'm really disappointed in this restaurant group for their policies.

    This was our 11th Thanksgiving at The Boathouse at Sunday Park. We meet with our "Virginia" family. Close friends who moved here at the same time we did, and none of us have family here, so we "adopted" each other. We had many other Thanksgivings at one another's home and other places, but 11 years ago when their son was just 2 months old we came to the boat house. Part of our day is spent feeding the ducks, real duck food, not bread. It is a special time for us all and the 11-year-old can't imagine any other Thanksgiving! Thank you for your delicious food and wonderful service. See you next year!

    The food tasted good.But the dinner prices were a little on the high side.Our waitress was nice but was not very attentive at all.We had to ask other waiter and waitress for something which was very annoying.

    Food and service was very good. Problem with the billing and apparatus. We did not see any reference to the mandatory %20 gratuity on menu or website. We had to ask for guest check breakdown when presented initial payment method at the table. I usually leave more tha %20 tip, but did not because of the mandatory gratuity. Does this all go to server?

    My wife and I had a very nice quiet meal at Sunday Park, we arrived when they opened at 4pm and had the place all to ourselves up until we left. The fish & chips were plentiful and yummy, could not finish off the abundant chips. My wide enjoyer her grilled chicken dinner too. It had been about 2-3 years since we had dined there and I was happy to see real menus again.

    Enjoyed tremendously but waiter could have been more helpful. Delivered French fries and slaw when said asparagus would be the side dish. Said it was changed with no explanation. But he brought asparagus when questioned. No apology given. Also no blue cheese in olives in martini. Said he didn’t think I wanted them. But brought some promptly.

    To start, let me say that the Boathouse is one of our favorite restaurants and has been for many years. However, since COVID is has been very inconsistent. We were celebrating our 40th anniversary so we wanted this dinner to be special. We asked for a table with a view of the water (it is unfortunate we didn't ask for outside seating as it was a beautiful night!). We were given a table on the wall opposite of the windows so we could barely see the water, which was odd since there was an open table right at the windows. When we received our dinner, the potatoes and vegetables were cold. The server took our plates back to the kitchen but when they came back the scallops were then overcooked. Considering the price per plate and service charge in addition, we were disappointed with the entree. Our server was very eager to make it right and brought us a dessert on the house, but unfortunately the dinner was underwhelming overall.

    The 20% outright tip charge is a bit much. A tip is based on services performed. Servers should perform their service and then receive a tip. There is no motivation when a server gets 20% automatically when services are not performed adequately Disappointed at this new rule. But they did tell us up front

    The menu is very limited and everyone worked by there was very young. They were all programmed on what they would say- not personable at all. Drink order was wrong but the food came quickly. Limited side dishes available and weren’t asked if we wanted a salad to start off.

    We eat here because it's sitting on the lake. The food was delicious this time. Not usually. There was a good white wine to drink. Not usually. So we did have a nice meal with out of town friends.

    This is a great place for birthdays, anniversary, family get togethers.....or simply dining out....great atmosphere and the views are amazing....in the heart of Brandermill and on the edge of the lake.....the service is excellent, the food is very good and the entire event was wonderful ! Thanks to Emory or Emery and the rest of the staff !

    The restaurant automatically adds a 20% gratuity and it shows in the service. We were never brought or offered bread despite seeing it at other tables. My drink was delivered to the wrong table and I had to flag the waitstaff over to bring it to me, my husband did not get his drink and we had to ask for it once the entrees were delivered. The food was fine. It great, not terrible, just ok. Nothing special, I could get the same meal for the same price or less with better service anywhere else. It was fairly disappointing.

    Very nice place to dine. The food is well prepared and tasty. We ate outdoors and the only complaint I have is that the umbrellas should provide some additional shading in the late afternoon. As of now, the sun is right in your face for a good hour or two until the sun gets low enough where it’s not a bother.

    The setting was beautiful and the service was great. The food was meager and not tasty. I had a very small swordfish steak that was skinny and dry. Served with it were 4 pencil thin stalks of asparagus and maybe a half cup of mashed potatoes. The presentation was pretty but so not worth 28 dollars. My wife had scallops that were too salty to enjoy and probably too salty to be healthy. She could not finish them. They were accompanied by the same sides although her asparagus was a bit more normal sized. We both needed to eat when we got home. The servings were too small and just didn't taste good.

    We love this location for the drinks & the views. The service is usually OK, a little lackluster after the built in 20% to staff. They’ve switched back to having waitstaff vs ordering on your phone which made me happy. Food is subpar. Overall, we know what we’re getting when we go. Awesome views and drinks.
