   Unfortunately our food was awful. Last time we were there everything was excellent. There has been a drastic change. The appetizer was served with our entree and everything was cold and over salted. The “collard greens” was one massive leaf shoved in a tiny bowl with no seasoning. Very disappointing. We definitely will not return.

   I don’t ever write reviews but this place slaps. I don’t mean to brag, but I’m somewhat of a cinnamon roll connoisseur. I mean it when I say this: the cinnamon rolls at The Brass Onion DUNK (think of that Vince Carter dunk in the Olympics over that 7 foot French guy) on any other cinnamon roll I’ve ever had. Usually I don’t like onions, but apparently I love brass onions. My main squeeze had some excellent fried chicken and side of gumbo. She said the gumbo was, *chefs kiss*, exquisite. I highly recommend this eatery. In the words of Arnold Schwarzenegger, “I’ll be back.”

    I was meeting a friend and was running really late,however the hostess that seated my friend was very attentive to her as. She waited for me,both she and I really appreciated that This was her first time visiting, I have been several times & had told her how exceptional the food was, both she and I really enjoyed our food and will be going again

    First visit . Food was good and service excellent. Had prime rib and husband had shrimp and grits both good! The ambience is very nice. Outdoor seating available with additional fire pit seating area to relax after dinner. Outdoor bands I believe on weekends in summer. We will return.

    The scallops were good, but could use some seasoning. The risotto was just okay and nothing special. The other folks in our party had short ribs and pork chops that were good. The service was mediocre. Half of the food came out and the other half took another 5 minutes. The steak was supposed to be rare and came out well done. They ended up remaking the the meal, but everyone was done eating by the time it came out 20 minutes later. They did not even offer a discount for the screw up. However, they offered a free desert which we declined. Overall, it was an okay experience and nothing worth going back to.

    We had a new server, first day without being a shadow, and she was wonderful. When she took a break, the manager took over for us. We had great service, good food, and fun drinks. We try to go here often and have always had a good experience.

    This was our 4th time to the restaurant. The service was terrible. The servers were unprofessional. And the food was not as good as it has been. We were very disappointed and wish we would of chosen another place to spend our Mother’s Day.

    Excellent fried chicken! We also had prime rib dinner, as well as the prime rib French Dip, imo the best French Dip in KC. Service was outstanding, very fun and energetic feel.

    The meal was decent. They forgot an order of fries and a side of sauce. My prime rib was cold. For the quality in the amount of time it took to get the food I feel it is really overpriced. The service was amazing. Our server was very attentive and friendly.

    Food was main concern, shrimp, crab cakes, gumbo, and meatballs were all very poor. Restaurant was not busy and it took 10 minutes to be greeted by our server. Typically don't leave reviews but this was a very disappointing experience especially given the esthetic and price point. Could go on.

    Food was great. Blaine L was server and just didn’t seem interested in us. Ordered iced tea…took a couple of times to get sweetener. He could have gone over entrees. We don’t know if you have desserts but if you do, we weren’t offered any suggestions. But, one of the managers found our billfold and chased us down the street to return it. We so appreciated he did this. A big thank you! Wish we had his name.

    We’ve eaten at the brass onion quite a few times, and the food is always good but this time the service was pretty bad. Our waitress was very slow and didn’t get the orders right and you could never track her down.

    Went for Brunch. Great drinks, atmosphere and service. However, the brunch was expensive and B- in terms of quality. In fairness, the Beignets which were off the chart awesome. If I go back, I may just order them and skip the rest. I don't think I'd return for brunch. But I will for sure be back for drinks and dinner.

    My jambalaya pasta could have used more heat. My friend's Reuben didn't taste like corned beef. Waitress was attentive, not intrusive. Very loud atmosphere.
