Amazing food and services. Just a bit pricey
We went to celebrate our wedding anniversary. They gave us a nice private table but because the restaurant is already so small it didn’t really give much for privacy. The food was good for the most part. We waited a long time for our food though and my steak was barely warm. Not the time of food or service you would expect from this type of place. The manager was pleasant and approached our table to acknowledge the issues. They comped our drinks and gave us free desserts. Overall it was good but for the price I can get better elsewhere.
Food was wonderful, staff were very attentive and helpful. Great place for a special occasion. Front door was a little challenging to find but worth the wandering to find it!
The food, atmosphere, and service at Butcher’s Chef was outstanding. The ONLY drawback here is the menu is a touch expensive and the alcohol cost gets ridiculous quick. We knew what we were getting into so not surprising, but lowered the “value” rating due to this.
Go for a nice date or business meeting!

Great patio, service etc
Would recommend to everyone, I think it’s the best patio in Toronto
Opened up a beautiful patio. Very large area with a lots of space and in these Covid times lots of room between tables. Staff is well seasoned and all are wearing mask so we felt very safe. Classy restaurant with exception menu. Entire night was perfect. Has a natural overhang so is perfect for shade and inclement weather. Highly recommended.

We ordered steaks medium rare, but they came overcooked. For the price we paid, we expected the chef knows how to cook a steak. We were very disapoined with steaks.
However, the service was excellent and we had a good dinner time.

I expected the food to be great and we were not disappointed. Octopus starter and 12 oz stripping literally the best ever. My wife had the crab thermidor which was excellent. I had not had Pheasant for years so we shared a main and highly recommend

Takes first place over Mortons and Hy’s which takes some doing. Combination of variety and quality of steaks and menus options other than beef. Also smaller quieter and nicer setting.
Our server was excellent and provided us with lots of information about the food and the venue. Definitely and great experience.
For a new restaurant,one would think that a glass of sparkling wine as a hello would be good.The portions are small and the seafood tower is really not a tower.I would go to Jacobs over this restaurant as value and quality is better!.Jacobs show there appreciation more to a customer

Amazing new steakhouse with lots of game meats. Every bite was delicious. The service and attention to detail was next level. Ambiance is about as high-end as you could get in Toronto. Will be back!!
Small place, pretty pricey but the food was outstanding. Probably the best steak I have had from a quality perspective.
Wine list is misleading (they don't have the wines they list or the vintage is different) and very expensive.
I'd come back for the food but bring my own bottle of wine.

Absolutely fantastic experience. Michael and team have made an intimate and personal experience where you feel like your the only client in the restaurant. The PEI ribeye was perfectly cooked and delicious, best steaks in the city. Will definately be back really soon.
This is truly a new gem in Toronto. It’s great for all occasions. The service was great and of course the food presentation was amazing. Can’t wait to go back with all my friends.
The food flavors were underwhelming. One of my guests ordered the dover sole and was told that it would be deboned and ready to eat. They had bones in every bite and could not eat much of it. It also took 2 and a half hours to get our mains. The staff were polite but it did not make up for the lack of food quality.
We had a great time celebrating my birthday. The staff was courteous and attentive. The menu is fantastic with some creative surprises as far as preparation and presentation. My wife really enjoys cooking and found a lot of joy in the small details. All in all a great experience at one of Toronto’s newest fine dining spots, we’re looking forward to going back!
Outstanding food. They are new and I would say service was a little slow. That said, I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it.
Good was great. Service was great. My one and only complaint was for the size of the wine pours we had with our tasting menu.
If you are looking for a fine dining experience with seasoned staff and a brilliant chef then this is probably a good place to start.
Was here with some work friends for a night out and individuals ranged from adventurous to picky. We all went with the tasting menus and nothing in the 7 courses turned anyone off.
The food was expertly prepared and the tastes were on par with some of the best restaurants I have visited internationally. Service was almost perfect but that could be just working out the kinks. Very knowledgeable on the dishes and the wines being served and welcoming when we had questions.
Atmosphere was warm and inviting and being such a small place it was not claustrophobic and felt bigger than its size.
I would recommend if you are looking for excellent fine dining experience and great wine selections.
It was pricy but leaving satisfied with the experience made this place worth visiting again.

Amazing experience the staff was incredible the food was to die for .... the tasting menu was so good and you get to experience it all. The bar is an old time feel that takes you back in time and the experience is amazing ... the staff really tries to meet all your needs and while i was there Robel knew the whole menu and had great recommendations and Christos was the manager and made great drinks behind the bar... Addy, who was also a bartender knew what cocktails would be good after a full meal... overall the experience and staff made the evening so much better. Definitely worth a visit
