   We waited 90 minutes for quesadillas and eggs. The server was nice and told us after submitting our order it would be about 50 minutes. But it was 40 minutes past that. Then when we were done we waited a long time for the bill, another server came and gave it to us because our server wasn’t around.

   I’ve ordered from the CDN Brewhouse before but have never been in. I wasn’t expecting anything fancy, knowing it’s a sports bar; but I was hoping for a good Mother’s Day brunch. It was really bad. We were seated and served right away, go our orders in in good time, but then it’s all stopped. We waited an hour for our food, as did all the tables in our section. It wasn’t busy, but I suspect they were backed up in the kitchen. That said, the server didn’t come by, there was no communication from her and we were just sort of stuck there waiting, with cold coffee… I served and bartended go over 20 years, so I know unavoidable things happen, people call in sick, kitchens run out of food, etc., but the lack of communication was really disappointing. When we did receive our food it was ice cold. The eggs weren’t even a little warm and there was no apology or acknowledgment that there was an issue in the kitchen. It was a free Mother’s Day brunch, but (again, having been a server) the service would have made up for it and the server could have benefited with a fat tip to make up for the kitchen’s issues. Overall it was disappointing and we won’t be back, but I’m sure it’s great for beer and wings…

   We went to watch playoff hockey and get a fun experience. It was a very good experience and a fun atmosphere.

   This has become tradition! Even though we live out of town, when the Oilers have a playoff series, we make a Brewhouse reservation and drive into the city to watch at least one playoff game with friends. The atmosphere is incredible. What a celebration. Food and drinks are always fantastic and service is wonderful!

    Overall our meal was really good. Our waitress was friendly and did a good job. After our meals we ordered dessert and waited 45 minutes. When our waitress checked back with us and apologized for the wait we told her if they hadn’t started it we didn’t want it now. She brought it out shortly after but said she would speak to her manager about the long wait. I thought for sure she would comp the dessert but when she brought our bill....there it was $7.99 times two (we ordered two). When my husband asked what the manager said, we didn’t clearly hear her reply.

    The service and cleaning was really poor! Our waitress didn’t care at all about anything... we came in and she just told us to “seat whatever we like” but most of the tables wasn’t clean (not to mention the chairs) and didn’t even told us where was clean or show us any table. We choose one and then 5 minutes after she came and cleaned the table, (there were still plates on the table) spraying a liquid in front of us that splashed us. This is what impacted me the most because we are in the middle of a pandemic. There was literally only 4 customers at that time so they had time to clean the tables and chairs!!!! Also food expensive but not that tasty.

    We hadn't been at this location since it was a Mario's. When we walked in the door we were greeted immediately and when we told him we had a reservation he pointed to a table that had a reserved sign on it for us. It appeared that there were only two server's on the floor but second's after we sat down "AMY" our waitress was there to take our drink order and leave menu's with us. very efficient and had control of all tables that were in use. Our food came out within good time and was delicious. Because we live in St. Paul when we go to Sherwood Park, we always try a different restaurant ... we will definitely go back to THE CANADIAN BREW HOUSE for another meal.

    Good food, good selection on tap, minus darker stouts and porters. They did well abiding by AHS requirements during the 2-week "lockdown".
