The Captain's Boil - Winnipeg - Pembina
Best shrimps ever tasted. The captains boil famous sauce is my favorite.
Service is fast and friendly.
Food was really good but it's a bit slow as they were so busy. Our server only focusing on other customers and forget us. I hope their customer service will improve but over all food is really good.
Upon arrival? The hostess brought us to the table. Table was not ready as we had to help the hostess put the tables together. Once that was done, she just placed the menu on one side of the table rather than at each seating. A server greeted us, asked us what we wanted to drink. We all said waters for all 13 of us for now. As she left she rolled her eyes.. not sure what that was about. Another server. Asian guy with glasses and tattoos, greeted us. He was very nice and made our time at Captains Broil great! Although upon seated we were never told about the long list of items not available, like what’s the point of going if half the menu wasn’t available. However we made it work and food was still great, along with service.
A good restaurant for family , a bit messy using your hands to eat but I loved it . Food was delicious and service was quick and friendly.
Booked online by arrived and did not have reservation on file.
It was ok but quality was not the best both food and service.
Food was very tasty. Eating with my hands was too messy for the quality of the food and the place
Our 1st time at this restaurant gave us a very good experience. Not a busy time although it was about noon when we made our reservation. Good service and tasty food. We had the sizzling plate lunch menu item that had 2 crayfish, 2 shrimp, 2 clams, 2 mussels with the Captain Boil sauce, teriyaki chicken and mild flavour. A good item for lunch. We would return again to try some of the other menu items that are served in a plastic bag. Definitely a new experience and fun to try.
I made a reservation online, which I really didn't have to do cuz we had to wait while they got our table ready. I thought our table would of already been ready.
The other disappointment was to find out you were out of lobster. That is what most of us wanted which is why we went to Captain Boil. Otherwise we would of went to The Keg where the lobster would of been cheaper.
We had the mussels in the bag and they were very tasty but not really a substute for the lobster. Our waitress was great with her honesty & recommendation. She was pretty slow getting our bill.
We would go back only if the lobster is available. My suggestion is. If you go there mainly to have the lobster, I'd call ahead to make sure it is available.
Service was great!! Food was okay!! Been there before, it was a lot tastier before!!
We were a party of 10 for my sons 18th birthday. We were pleasantly surprised upon arrival to see that we had a table in a private room. The service was prompt and the staff were very accommodating and extremely friendly. Guests are provided with a bib and gloves to eat their seafood that is served in a bag. There are plates available upon request. Everyone enjoyed their dinner. We found it a bit on the pricey side, however it is worth it for the experience. We will be going back soon!
We are happy and satisfied with your service thank you very much
The food and service are pretty good. We love this restaurant.
