   Enjoyed family gathering dinner at the City Club after having had a positive experience dining with large party of friends weeks before. Service and food was consistent. One of the better establishments in YC for both service, food, and ambiance.

   I was surprised that people without reservations could not get a table. Many customers were turned away. I had a reservation but there was a large number of empty tables.

    Our regularly scheduled CAYMUS WAGNER family of wines Dining Group at City Club Bistro was OUTSTANDING at every level! Craft Cocktails. Appetizers, and Menu Items were so good the Flavor Police should have been called! The wines were SPECTACULAR! The TEAM of employees led by Abi, Chelsea, Casey, Daniel and Will took care of our group of ten diners. An added bonus was the LIVE music that was terrific from song choices to volume level! We ate on their beautiful patio and weather and waterfall made for a perfect ambiance. Ahi, Pork, Pasta and Salmon Cassidy dishes were all so GOOD! CITY CLUB BISTRO ROCKS!

    Petrale Sole Special was exceptional and 4 of our group enjoyed it. The entree however deserves better plate presentation with the side vegetables (in this case al dente grilled squash and mashed potatoes). Sides were delish but might be presented more appealingly to promote the diner’s perception of the value of the dish they’re receiving. We eat with our eyes before we taste the product.

    This is a posh restaurant like you would get in a big city but it’s here in our little town! Great service, great food - the Blackened Salmon was absolutely delicious and perfect portions.

    Nice ambiance. Good food. Best in the area . Outdoor dining in good weather and very comfortable seating indoors. Really no better dining experience in the Yuba Sutter area Nice bar area and great drink menu. Highly recommend.

    Exceptionally comfortable outdoor patio. Fairly broad selection of craveable entrees and appetizers. Wine list was pretty good and reasonably priced. The seafood entrees (salmon, shrimp scampi and crab cake) served to our table were delish!.

    Steaks were a bit on the rare side, so order accordingly. Service was good. Overall, food is good. I think they should give you complimentary bread, versus having to order it as a starter.

    The patio was lovely for a late September evening dinner. Our entrees were excellent. The four of us ordered blackened salmon, pasta and large salads with grilled salmon. We were all happy with our selections. The crab cakes for an appetizer were disappointing- small, little deep fried balls which were very dry and not very flavorful. They used to be so much better. Cars racing down plumas street were annoying, but that is the risk you take dining outside, otherwise the ambiance was very nice. Our waitress was superb. This is our favorite restaurant in town and I can’t wait to go back!

    The food was excellent, really at a top restaurant quality! However, the service was a bit slow to respond to our needs, I don't think we should have to ASK to have water refills, etc But overall an excellent dinner and I would definitely recommend to friends.

    Enjoyed an early dinner, Thursday, 8/11 at 5:00 pm, at a table in the bar. All staff was friendly and professional. Thank you Chelsea for your attentiveness, impeccable service, and dessert recommendation. The food was excellent, wine choices excellent, I enjoyed watching football on the TV too! Thank you Abi for introducing yourself and chatting with me at my table, good information will be useful on my next visit. Decor perfect! Thank you to all the staff that smiled and said hello, I felt very welcome to have dined at The City Club and will return soon!

    This was a birthday celebration and there were 8 people attending. The service was slow, we had to wait at least 15 minutes for our first drink order to be served. One participant ordered Ribeye Steak and they were unable to eat it because it had a very bad taste to it. We were not charged for that meal. The dining room was a little smoky coming in from the kitchen. The temperature in the dining room was also a little too warm - we could barely feel the air conditioning. No acknowledgement was given about this occasion being a birthday celebration from the server or anyone else in staff. Very disappointing dining experience. Other than the one bad Ribeye Steak, the rest of the food was very good.

    Went here for brunch. Nice selection but very average. Had the pork belly hash which was good but the pork belly pieces came out really dry. My wife had the Eggs Benedict and it was good.

    The food was incredible! Service excellent. Dining on the patio was perfect. Though there were other tables occupied, we were easily able to carry on a conversation at normal volume levels. Menu was updated and interesting additions. We will be back!

    My wife and I went here on a date to see the changes from City Cafe to the City Club and to support local. My wife's meal was really good, but mine was mediocre at best. Details below. Drinks I had the smokey Old Fashioned which was pretty well balanced, bold, and the smoke came through nicely. With the meal I had a glass of pinot noir. My wife had a glass of Cabernet Sav. Both were very generous pours. Meal: My wife had the bucatini pasta dish with the house salad with ranch. The salad was nice and light and the pasta she said was really good. I ordered the Summer Chicken and the summer salad. The salad was very light and refreshing. The chicken breast was cooked perfectly, however, it was completely unseasoned and bland. It was moist and the skin was perfect. You can tell that maybe it was brined, pan seared and then finished in the oven, but completely devoid of flavor. I let my wife try it as well and she concurred. The corn succotash underneath with zucchini in it was also very bland, although the texture was spot on and refreshing. For a $30 plate, it was completely lackluster. If the chicken was brined, the salt content was way too low. It was very disappointing. We also shared the lemon passat for dessert. It was good, albeit a little unbalanced. As I said, we love supporting local and anyone can have an off night in the kitchen, so we might try it again in the future, but I am worried that if this was a common occurrence, then this place might not last. The wait staff did a great job, the drinks were good with the generous wine pours, and most of the food was good. As stated, mine was cooked perfectly, just under seasoned in every way. Hope they figure that one out and stick around a while.
