Great food and superb service. Eggs Benny are a must try!

First time, great experience.

Shared the cowboy steak which took over an hour waiting time. The steak tasted great but there was excessive fat which was not edible. Vegetables were good and large enough to share. Wait staff were great and friendly.

Had alovely evening for my Birthday. Food was SO good. We ordered the large Rib Steak which was excellent. Juicy and Tender...Brussel Sprouts, Parsnips were delicious! As for the Sticky Toffee Pudding, what can I say. Could not get better. Just like they make in the UK. We really enjoyed that. Service was great. Could not ask for more. Will return again..

A little disappointed with the ambiance... and the couches we had to sit on were uncomfortable and too far away from the table.
I wish you would have regular beer rather than craft beer, and Crown Royal or Canadian club.
Food was good, but the bill was a little steep.

BEST MEAL WE HAVE EVER HAD! My wife and I dined with 2 friends and our dinner was amazing! Everyone at the table agreed it was the best dinner we've ever had! The rib eye was so tender and flavorful. The parsnips, and brussel sprouts were so delicious as was the beef bread and sticky toffee pudding. The service was also on point! We never had an empty glass and were made to feel welcomed and valued. Highly recommend!

Darcy and Simon run a great place. Dana was our server - knowledgeable about the menu, and she convinced my partner to try the brussel sprouts! A good call!

This is our favourite place to eat! There is so much care taken in the layers of flavour! The passion for their service and food is evident each time we go. I had the winter salad and ravioli/pillows of dreamy goodness. My husband had the ribeye- cooked to perfection, amazing flavour with b sprouts. We topped it off with the amazing Pudding and earl grey infused ice cream. Love the friendly environment and open kitchen concept.

It is a fabulous dining experience! You will not have a better steak!

Began with cocktails. The best Bourbon Manhattan I have ever enjoyed. My wife had the Edmund Fitzgerald which she gave high accolades to. As an appetizer I ordered the Steak Tartare. It was beautifully presented but I found it a bit bland for my tastes. My wife ordered the pasta dish (similar to ravioli with a Jerusalem artichoke filling) which she absolutely raved about. I had a taste and I would concur - absolutely velvety. As I figured that the tartare would be rather filling I asked what the waitress would recommend as a lighter choice for the entre. She suggested a mushroom dish. I am by no means a vegetarian and would never have chosen this as a first choice for an entre, but it did seem to fit the bill as a lighter choice. The flavour of this dish was fabulous due to an incredible sauce. I would readily order it again - live and learn. The wine list is extensive and interesting. |Both of our choices were very good. As everything else was so good we elected to share a sticky toffee dessert. Again delicious. The coffee we had to accompany it maintained the same high standard. We will most definitely return to this restaurant. One of the best meals we have ever enjoyed. Not the cheapest place in town to dine but the quality and presentation of the food justifies the price.

So yummy and the outdoor seating is so cosy and cute! The seats have faux fur , there’s heat lamps and heated chairs. The food and cocktails are delicious!! Highly recommend

Enjoyed the fillet steak (with fries) and Brussel sprouts. My husband had the house made pasta. Everything was delicious!

With minimal visits to restaurants these days, we wanted to pick something special that could deliver a nice experience and good quality food. We were all so thrilled with our experience at Common Stove. great service, delicious unique plates and good times with great friends. We would recommend Common Stove any time to friends and family!

I'm always blown away by my experience here. I've been fortunate enough to dine all over the world and this experience is absolutely top notch on all levels.

The food was outstanding The French toast was out of this world. My lady friend had the eggs Benedict she said it was prepared perfectlyThe coffee was hot and tasty. Service was impeccable Will be going back as soon aslock down over.

Love the common stove! Took a couple of friends there this week for the first time. A bit worried taking them as they can be pretty critical. First word out of their mouth “I have had steaks from around the world and this is as good as the best I have ever had” what an endorsement. I have Cornish hen smoked flavor perfection. Brussels sprouts always good. Not usually a dessert eater but split the toffee pudding with my husband so delicious and not too sweet.
Can hardly wait till we can go back under normal conditions

Aside from the mix up with my reservation. I had an outstanding time and the food was amazing as usual.

So nice to be back at The Common Stove. My husband, daughter and I just love their incredible food, personal service, wine selection and atmosphere. We were so content to have them re-open as its our go to place on weekends. Angela is always a pleasure to have as a server, including the owners. They all are exceptionally accommodating and gracious. Simply our favourite restaurant.

Quite literally the best restaurant we’ve ever been to. Every time we dine here it is the most magical experience (yes, magical)! The staff are absolutely wonderful. The atmosphere is cozy, yet modern. My husband and I say it’s like if we designed our favourite place from New Orleans and brought it to Orillia. The drinks are unbelievable...you must have the Edmund Fitzgerald! The food...I have almost no words, it is that good. Each time we visit we are taken on a culinary journey. Trying to figure out all of the amazing flavours on our plate. My husband and I try each other’s food and wave our forks around in excitement. The Common Stove is an absolute gem to have in Orillia. We feel so fortunate!

This place is unbelievable!
We went for dinner then again for brunch the next morning. Everything we ate or drank was spectacular.
I can't recommend this place enough!

This has been our go to restaurant in the past year during this strange time. We usually dined in Toronto for special occasions. We have found in The Common Stove is excellent food, exceptional service and a great atmosphere in the safety of our own town.

Wonderful spot and we will be back! The cocktails were not to be missed either.
