    Absolutely incredible. As always. Food, drink and service were over the top. The price and value are all exceptional.  The heirloom carrots, filet, and wine selections are to die for!

    Had our anniversary dinner. Still the best wood fired filet I have ever had. Service is always incredible and a lovely touch was a complimentary champagne toast and our dessert with a sparkler to top Off the night. Highly recommend.

    Really nice restaurant ... probably the best in Orillia. Oysters were excellent as were the steak and heirloom carrots. Wine was great too. We were cycling the next day, so no desert to report on, but I will return to try one another day.

    Favourite spot for us for steaks. This time around the meat was a little bit over cooked. Out of character for our prestigious little Orillia spot. Nonetheless great server and evening.

    This was a fantastic experience! The food was amazing, the service was excellent and the restaurant is well laid out and inviting. I wish I lived closer! Our food was so delicious! They went out of their way to be sure that the meal was GF so that we could share the dishes. Great experience!

    I have previously dined here and LOVED it. I have raved about this restaurant to family and friends. I was so excited to bring my mum here for her birthday. We were most excited because she is British and wanted to enjoy the Sunday roast. Our server was lovely. The drinks were nice. But the roast was inedible. Unable to cut and chewy. The jus had no flavour and the roasted veggies were over cooked. 4 of us ordered this sadly. Our server tried to compensate us with different beef and birthday chocolates which were appreciated, but overall such a disappointing experience. I doubt we’ll be back.

    The portions are small. There are no sides other than what you pay for e.g. potatoes are an additional 12 dollars in addition to 49 dollars for a 7 ounce filled. The only value is the burger and fries. .

    We enjoyed our quaint and quiet patio table along with the excellent steak, mushrooms and salad. Overall a great experience. Thank you for the blankets and heaters which added an element of cozyness on a chilly fall evening.

    Date night we started with the buratta and bread. Loved it and for our main we shared a filet and the chicken which were both great with a hearty portion of French fries. We sat at the chefs bar and had front row seats to all The cooking action. The team works well together and create a great experience.

    A wonderful experience overall. The food was outstanding. Meat done to perfection and the smokiness created exceptional flavor. We had the buratta, cowboy ribeye, carrots, potatoes and oysters. Lovely and unique wine selection. The sticky toffee pudding for dessert was the best we’ve ever tasted. Service was excellent. The staff are warm and knowledgeable and were eager to make our dining experience exceptional. Common Stove is a culinary gem. It truly was an unforgettable evening.

    We had a really nice dinner - service was excellent, staff was attentive and made sure we had everything we needed and food was as expected. We had a beautiful window seat. Food was lovely. Really enjoyed the Rose.

    This was the first time my wife and I have eaten here. Hands down the best restaurant we have ever dined at. Food was incredible, waitress was unbelievably friendly, knowledgeable and courteous. We enjoyed it so much that while we were still seated at our table we booked again for the following night so we could bring my wife’s parents to experience this restaurant. Even though it’s a long weekend, the owner personally came over and accommodated us for this last minute request. If you haven’t been to this restaurant I highly recommend that you do you will not be disappointed.

    The food is amazing every time. Tried the steak tartar and it exceeded our expectations. Porterhouse steak and chop potatoes- melt in your mouth. Took friends for the first time and they are now big fans too. Service staff are knowledgeable without being snooty. Menu changes regularly which makes every time a new experience.

    We were first timers to The Common Stove. We were celebrating our Anniversary and we’re greeted with a glass of sparkling to celebrate. Nice touch! The staff were helpful, friendly, and enthusiastic. We sat at the Chef’s Counter and it was fun to watch them prep, grill and cook “like a well oiled machine!” The food was delicious, atmosphere was fun! We will definitely be back and we highly recommend!!

    This was our first time dining there to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The halibut, filet and heirloom carrots were delicious and just the right portions for us to share. It is a beautiful restaurant! The only issue we had was with the noise level. The open concept and high ceilings is visually appealing, however hearing our own conversation was challenging because of the acoustics. We will likely visit again.

    A better gourmet experience than we've found in Toronto since covid. The chef creates an imaginative menu and executes it flawlessly. Wine cellar is not deep, but rewarding - we enjoyed a lovely 2014 pinot noir at a reasonable price. Friendly, professional service and a warm, inviting locale complete the picture. Not cheap, but a great value! Highly recommend and we will return.

    This place is a gem in the heart of Orillia. A quaint spot full of character and cool ambiance. The service, friendly helpful and knowledgeable. The food, a delicious ride for the palette. Everything came together brilliantly. Job well done! Would definitely recommend this place.

    We had our anniversary dinner here and it was fabulous! We asked for a quieter spot and they gave us the most private table in the place. We were pleasantly surprised when we received complimentary champagne for toasting. The food was delicious and I enjoyed the tapas style.

    I took my son out for dinner to celebrate him going off to University. I added that to my notes when I made the reservation and our waiter brought a nice sparkler and a chocolate for dessert. Our dinner was amazing! We had scallops, rib eye steak, potatoes, and carrots. All were cooked to perfection and we LOVED the wood fired carrots. So unique and so delicious

    Our third visit to the Common Stove , unfortunately not the best. We had the Sunday Roast beef dinner. The beef was not very hot and portion size was pretty small. Not the best value for money. Had the rib-eye steak and tenderloin our first two visits and both of those meals were amazing. Oh well 2out of 3 ain’t bad.

    Was l great experience, want to say thank you to our server he helped us order our meals in a way that we would may not of done, he brought us up to speed on the more tapas like shareable accompaniments. Worth the drive from Huntsville!

    As always an enjoyable experience. I would suggest, however, that, although Common Stove is primarily a steak based restaurant, they should do more than just pay lip service to the vegetarian options. I wasn’t in the mood for steak that night but found the vegetarian meal disappointing.
