First visit was fantastic, casual business lunch for four persons. I'd call the food "Well polished gastro-pub", and was not disappointed. Good selection of craft & tap beers, very fresh, sublime cocktails. Atmosphere was bright, on the modern side of casual; it was a warm, clean venue with really nice attentive service. Servers have good knowledge of the menu and drink offerings. Highly recommend. Parking can be an issue, but if you circle the block once you'll usually find a spot. Plenty of access via TTC on Roncey, Dundas; about a four minute walk from the Bloor/Roncesvalles subway station.

Had the pleasure of having lunch at The Commoner. Service was very good and we all enjoyed the Cobb Salad. Loved what they put into this baby. The restaurant has a nice vibe to it.

Had a reservation for 6people. Called the venue to ensure we could be seated close to a window. Had a lovely chat with the manager. When I arrived the wait staff had no idea of any discussion. After much confusion and eye rolling, a table was set up. Food was ok, but service was slow and staff non communicative. This was a Tuesday night too. At least the food was decent.

It took a little while for our server to make the initial contact and get drinks ordered ( also another larger table there), but after that everything was perfect. Great service, great food, really good time. The Commoner was very helpful in arranging the table we needed ahead of time. Thank you.

Overall, good dinner. Buffalo cauliflower was great. Both the Buffalo and blue cheese sauces were delicious. Girlfriend had the veggie burger and said it was good. She got the truffle and Parmesan fries with it. Those were good but needed salt. I had the chicken schnitzel with dill potato salad and picked beats. Everything was cooked well and the schnitzel had a great crispy crust, but like the fries everything needed salt. I thought it was odd that the server asked if we wanted salt and pepper when she gave us our food since I would expect it to be seasoned when cooked, but maybe they know the food is under seasoned. Anyway, the ambiance was great and I would give it another try.
