My wife and I enjoyed a Beautiful spring day and a delightful salmon dish.
Our server (Dew) was outstanding, he accommodated our dietary needs without hesitation, engaged in delightful conversations, and made sure we were well looked after. The food was excellent, we had a great time. We will be back.
Was a wonderful evening with an amazing server. She was lovely and patient with all our little requests and the night was so nice with the lights and the fire. We were warm enough outside-loved the view . Didn’t want to leave

Confederation Lounge is always a treat, we go when we can. No doubt things are a bit pricey at a Fairmont but the staff are very friendly and the food/drinks are top drawer.

I had a great experience at The Confederation Lounge in the Fairmont Hotel Macdonald. We went there for the friend's birthday celebration and were treated to a lovely, quiet, spot by the window. The service was outstanding and the staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. My only issue was the limited menu options (though this is due to the pandemic I presume, and is completely understandable). That being said, the food was still great.
The staff is kind & Friendly, they see to it that everything is good. We have a very nice experience during my Birthday celebration.

Our server who we quite like was once again amazing. His charm and wit along with the fact that he is Joe Pesci’s doppelgänger always makes for a fun time. This gentleman is fun yet sophisticated and he makes the place what it is. He been there for a few years and we love him.
Everything was good. However we were placed right by the front entrance and we were all dressed up . It was just just a little cold..

We had a great time for our wedding anniversary. The cocktails here are great try the Baroness or the mint and ginger mojito. The food is also incredible and mostly locally sourced we started with the smoke and salt charcuterie and was not disappointed the cheese provided was a feta and Gouda and there was so much if it the portion sizes were extremely generous for all the things we are my partner has the time and I had the pasta with added blackened chicken at our servers recommendation. Will definitely come back soon.

I like trying burgers everywhere and so far I really like the burgers in Fairmont restaurants.
The lounge was very comfortable. The cauliflower starter was AMAZING. Highly recommended. We had the steak with frites for our main meals. I upgraded to the truffle fries which was just a truffle mayo that was added. We both enjoyed our meals. They do not skimp out on portions. The service was on point.
Food was amazing and the service is so much better than most places in my opinion. The portion sizes of the food and the flavours definitely make the prices justifiable. 100% recommend to anyone and we will personally be going back for our next anniversary!
The food and atmosphere were delightful, but the slow and inconsistent service did make my experience a little bit frustrating at times. For example, when it was stated that there was a birthday in our party, the waiter only brought the birthday person a slice of chocolate cake with nuts, without inquiring about actual dessert preference, nut allergies, or even asking the rest of the table if they wanted dessert. And since it was so slow, we eventually all lost our appetite for dessert having not been asked and attended to.

This is a beautiful historic, warm and cozy place for a craft cocktail and snacks or dinner. Service is professional and friendly. Great view of river valley too. The nicest lounge Edmonton has to offer by far.

We had an excellent experience at Hotel Macdonald. My Mom had wanted to experience High Tea for her birthday. We travelled from out of town, but I had made a mistake with the reservation and accidentally booked a luncheon instead. The staff were very gracious and were able to accommodate high tea in a different location within the hotel. We so appreciated this and had a marvelous experience. Highly recommend!

What a gorgeous outdoor lounge! Beautiful and so warm with heaters and firebowl. The charcuterie board was 10/10! Such a refreshing change for Edmonton’s downtown scene. I will definitely be going back!
