I like trying burgers everywhere and so far I really like the burgers in Fairmont restaurants.
The lounge was very comfortable. The cauliflower starter was AMAZING. Highly recommended. We had the steak with frites for our main meals. I upgraded to the truffle fries which was just a truffle mayo that was added. We both enjoyed our meals. They do not skimp out on portions. The service was on point.
Food was amazing and the service is so much better than most places in my opinion. The portion sizes of the food and the flavours definitely make the prices justifiable. 100% recommend to anyone and we will personally be going back for our next anniversary!
The food and atmosphere were delightful, but the slow and inconsistent service did make my experience a little bit frustrating at times. For example, when it was stated that there was a birthday in our party, the waiter only brought the birthday person a slice of chocolate cake with nuts, without inquiring about actual dessert preference, nut allergies, or even asking the rest of the table if they wanted dessert. And since it was so slow, we eventually all lost our appetite for dessert having not been asked and attended to.

This is a beautiful historic, warm and cozy place for a craft cocktail and snacks or dinner. Service is professional and friendly. Great view of river valley too. The nicest lounge Edmonton has to offer by far.

We had an excellent experience at Hotel Macdonald. My Mom had wanted to experience High Tea for her birthday. We travelled from out of town, but I had made a mistake with the reservation and accidentally booked a luncheon instead. The staff were very gracious and were able to accommodate high tea in a different location within the hotel. We so appreciated this and had a marvelous experience. Highly recommend!

Amazing lunch with a fantastic view! I had the halibut fish tacos .. I’d go back just for those alone! But everything was delicious including the cocktails!

What a gorgeous outdoor lounge! Beautiful and so warm with heaters and firebowl. The charcuterie board was 10/10! Such a refreshing change for Edmonton’s downtown scene. I will definitely be going back!

Gwen was lovely as always. The food was amazing and the outside patio views were beautiful. Definitely would recommend for a nice night out, patio drinks or a special occasion.
I took my mother-in-law for tea for her birthday because she had never been. She loved the experience and we will definitely be coming back in the future.
It was ok but did not get to go on a tour because of covid...makes no sense to me, they will serve us food and rent out rooms but wont let us do the tour?
Some of the girls had never done the high tea so it took away from the experience...
I should have been informed on this when I made reservation we would have had brunch there instead of over priced finger food and tea.

Carmen our server was lovely..food was OK, pricey but I guess you pay for the venue somewhere...
From the spectacular historic setting, to the stellar service, to the phenomenal food, this was one of my favourite dining experiences. Our serving sizes were very generous- every single item on the plate was top quality. The service was beyond reproach and delightful. My only regret is not going sooner!

I took my daughter and a friend out for breakfast before her first day of kindergarten. We were able to sit out on the patio which is absolutely beautiful. Our server Michelle was efficient and friendly and even brought the girls a special treat to celebrate their special day.

I’ve been here several times already. I love it but this time if found it a little underwhelming.
I’ll chock it to COVID limitations on the menu, but I wouldn’t go for the chicken dish again. (portions size was good but overall I was disappointed with the flavour. For the price, I would expect to be wowed with flavour but — let’s put it this way — I’m not a professional cook but I’ve made better risotto at home.)

Our waiter Jacob was so sweet,he made our experience so wonderful.I wish there were a few more sandwiches and all the teas came to the table so we could try more,Thats how they do it London.Overall experience was wonderful.My daughter and I really enjoyed it!!!!
I really appreciate the chef who made us enjooy my birthday even more by doing lil changes of converting dishes from non veg to veg and our server i guess her name was Laila was awesoome too. Thanx for wonderful experience
