    A simple good value lunch menu. Nicely prepared food, not your run of the mill pub lunch. Don't be put off by an apparently crowded car park - it's also a public car park for walkers along the river path.

    Everything was good,nice place,large car park .Food was excellent,very pleasant staff. We had a room on the main road,was a bit noisy with the traffic,but earplugs were offered if we required them.would definitely go again.

    The staff were great we ate on a Tuesday evening, the food for the most part was excellent but let down by a uneven steak which was under cooked, which I must add a replacement was offered but as I had already eaten the more "done" side I declined, the manager immediately said she would adjust the bill. Would i eat here again? Yes definitely the rabbit terrine was wonderful and my wifes starter, crispy haloumi and main, chicken burger were also very tasty

    Food was nice and service good but surroundings shabby ladies toil was grim and the table we were given was so small and tight up against the wall. Party in that night also who were unnecessarily loud which spoilt our anniversary meal. Have been going to the same place for years and had expected much more from the overall experience

    Very friendly staff made us welcome and nothing was too much trouble, food very good nice choice on the menu, in fact it was all very pleasant and we have booked for later in the month for 7 of us

    As always, a warm welcome, into a very nice 'gastro pub/restaurant/Inn. Black pudding scotch eggs were delicious. My sea bass & mussels were nicely cooked & presented. The other 3 of our party enjoyed the fish chowder, but also commented that it lacked a little oomph (flavour/heat). And, maybe some 'artisan' bread to accompany would be nicer than white sliced? Just hopefully some 'constructive comments', but certainly NO complaints. Will return.

    We booked a Sunday lunch for 3 adults and 1 child. We all agreed it was the best roast we have ever eaten. It was well presented and a good sized portion. The staff were friendly and attentive. Would definitely go back again.

    I love the Congresbury Arms ! The food is outstanding, so much so, I feel the pub owners need to ensure the chef is very happy and never leaves ! I wish I could eat here every night! The staff are all welcoming and friendly and the pub is very clean and decorated tastefully. Top marks x

    A fantastic stay before a next day flight. A really interesting menu, great food and generous portions. Lovely local ales too. We shall be back.

    Food was very good. I had the butter chicken gluten free. My husband had the pork belly. I would go again. I did query if the choux bun was GF as indicated on the menu and it wasn't. I did have the sticky toffee pud GF. It was very good.

    We dined here earlier in the year and were disappointed with the quality of the meal which was disappointing as we are local and have visited on many occasions over the years. We thought we would give it another go and are delighted that it was a new menu and the meal was fine and the service excellent. Nearly got caught out by the 9.00 clock closing time but in the round a good evening for us and our guests. We will definitely be back

    Nice welcome. Lovely dining area. Clean and light. Offered drink when seated. Menu is really varied Starters shared the wings/fried calamari - tasty I had the crispy chilli noodles as a main and partner had steak Loved the noodles and will have again Steak. Nothing wrong with the rib eye cut and chips were lovely. Salad needs a dressing as dry However after a few bites realised the steak was all rare not medium. Asked waitress and although she said she’d take to kitchen she seems surprised. We were really polite and just asked if it could be flashed in the pain a little longer. Took some 15 mins to come back. Same steak which is fine and cooked to medium but whole new plate of everything else so probably why it took so long and I ended up eating my main alone and then he ate his alone ! Basically chef needs to know how to cook a steak I think ?!

    We had a lovely evening we had. We were welcomed warmly for a meal for our son’s birthday. The food was tasty and well presented. I would definitely recommend a visit.

    A bit disappointed with the size of the fish for fish and chips on the set menu especially for the price but the cheesecake dessert was very nice and would have it again. Staff were very helpful and attentive.

    An excellent welcome, offered a choice of eating inside or outside. Food order taken outside and we were fetched when it was ready and drinks were carried in for us. Food very good, although for me the portions were too big. Would definitely go again.

    The meal was just delicious and the waiting staff were charming. We had the scallops and crispy beef/noodles starters. Both were absolutely delicious. Mains included local steak which was superb. The best food and service for miles around. Highly recommended.

    Good to be able to eat out on a Monday lunchtime, when so many pubs are closed. We chose ciabatta sandwiches which were tasty & filling…but we still squeezed in a delicious dessert each afterwards! The food was well presented & good value for the quality of ingredients. The staff were polite & attentive. The only slight niggle is that the room we were seated in was a bit soulless & would benefit from some curtains/blinds to soften the internal windows between the pub areas.

    Starters were lovely, esp fried Chilli Beef. Roasts were ok-good. Not amazing but good. Staff were really pleasant but just a little in attentive. Woman at the table next to us was struggling with roast beef- and was a little vocal which want really necessary. Good crackling on the pork, chicken a bit dry.
