   They just were t prepared for a full on Mothers Day brunch. The place is cute as can be, our sever was awesome but she couldn’t overcome the fumbles of the kitchen. It was overwhelming to the staff and underwhelming for guests…too bad because I think they’re potential. Management and ownership (if not same) should be doing reflections on how to get to next level…which we know is plaguing so many in the hospitality arena.

   The Craftsman is one of our favorite places to eat! We love the lollipop wings, meatballs and steam buns! Last night we tried the burger and chicken dish. They were both amazing! The service was excellent and the food is always good!

   The food was great but the service was lackluster. It was pretty empty in there. Probably only 4 other tables with people and we were still pretty ignored. Didn’t get a drink we ordered, waitress didn’t come by to check on us once during our meal. It was a bit disappointing.

   Great cocktails and wine selection. Our party of six tried several small plates and enjoyed them all. The burgers were fantastic. Service was excellent, both our server and at the bar. Fun atmosphere, will definitely be back!

    While not “around the corner,” The Craftsman is worth the 15-20 minute drive from our home. The atmosphere is lively without being too loud. The restaurant has a large patio with heaters and fans as needed. The menu offers an array of good choices, with some great variations on old standbys. For instance, the chicken wings are familiar but better than the typical ones you find elsewhere. My companion ordered the wagyu pastrami sandwich, which was lean and delicious. I had the crunch salad and added ahi, which was also delicious and filling. The Craftsman has a better than typical beverage program. Several higher end restaurants in the Valley have lackluster beer lists. My companion is a beer connoisseur and was impressed with the beer offerings; he noted that the restaurant also serves beer in the correct glass for each type. The restaurant brews its own beer and offers several other craft beers. It also distills its own spirits. Our waitress Monica was attentive and friendly. This was our second visit to The Craftsman and are glad we have added it to our restaurant rotation list.

    the food was excellent. the Volcano Pork is gigantic and so delicious! Fall off the bone tender with rich roasted pork flavor enhanced by the hatch chiles (slightest bit of heat, and great flavor). The Smoke Show cocktail was a dramatic presentation and tasted great (not on the online menu so might be a seasonal special)

    We had an excellent server. The sandwiches were delicious. The drinks were fine, but some pretty pricey. We weren't there during happy hour. A few clearly marked vegan items, which were appreciated.

    There was a large table near us that had already started, but we were seated right next to them, and they had to screaming toddlers. It took about 20 minutes to get our for drinks. Otherwise, the food was good in our server was good.

    Waitress was unfamiliar with the menu. She really had no idea what was on the website. Food was fair, but several people got chicken and it was dry and hard. Very, very tiny portions. Would not go back or recommend.

    We loved our Valentines dinner experience! The food and presentation were outstanding from beginning to end, as were the wine and cocktails! The entire staff - hostess, servers, bus service, kitchen, bar, GM - were all very attentive and accommodating, and worked together to make the entire experience a great pleasure and Blessing!     I’ve been to this restaurant three times so far and quite honestly the service is great, but the food is just so-so The salads have been good and the homemadw chips are awesome, but the lollipop wings were awful. The meatballs and burger were okay It’s a cool place to hang out — because it never seems to be busy. The staff is AWESOME… but the food … not so much.

    Service was slow. Appetizers were terrible. We had the rice and steamed buns. No beer and no steak and I sent my vodka soda back 2x because the soda was flat finally ordered a bourbon on the rocks.

    I’ll start off by saying the service was good. This is all about the quality of food. We were a little concerned walking in on a Saturday at prime lunch time and seeing the restaurant pretty empty. I wanted a burger, was in the area, and saw they had it on the menu on Opentable. Unfortunately, they were “out of the burger”. Don’t know how they ran out of burgers at 12:30pm. Ordered portobello fries which were too breaded and dry with a mayo sauce that had no taste. The “heirloom tomato”, burrata, watermelon salad (I made the mistake of ordering because watermelons are not in season) lacked flavor, and the tomatoes were not heirloom. My husband’s “wagyu beef pastrami” sandwich was brought out with very burned bread the first time, so they replaced it. Only two slices of “wagyu” pastrami burned at the edges, too much mustard, very little slaw. Ratio was terrible. Bottom line for any restaurant: the food must be great, and this restaurant was disappointing.

    The food was excellent. Better then expected. The room is industrial is feeling. Nice bar. Be forwarded there is no Chardonnay by the glass ( 2 non sparking non Char )but a nice red wine list by the glass

    It was our first time there… prob won’t be back. What I wanted was on the menu but has been unavailable due to removing it a while ago. I’m limited in what I can eat due to dietary restrictions. The food was flavorless and overpriced for what it was. Salad was missing a few items. Service was very slow despite restaurant being basically empty (maybe 3-4 other tables total) Very disappointed!

    Clean, nicely decorated, lovely staff but the food was below par and expensive. My husband ordered a hamburger well done, it was served medium rare. He would have returned it but we waited so long for our food that he was too hungry to wait for it to be thrown back on the grill. I ordered the special, which was shepherds pie. At $25, my daughter and I figured it was large enough to split; and while we did split it, it was not the size we had expected. Additionally, it was very spicy. On the flip side, the chips and queso were excellent and our server was delightful.
