    Despite the hotel being full the restaurant was nearly empty. Possibly a sign that while the food is good it is overpriced and the menu options are limited. The menu does cater well for vegans and vegetarians but if you love meat then basically it's steak Probably better to eat in the bar.

    My husband and I ate dinner for on a quiet, midweek, late September evening. We sat on the patio overlooking the lake, had a gas heater fired up right next to our table and had a lovely time. Quiet, serene, gorgeous. Our dinner was delicious, my salmon with crisp asparagus spears was outstanding. Our server Colin was delightful.

    Food was great but service was extremely slow due to short staff. Took 20 minutes for anyone to even come to our table and acknowledge us. Was not the servers fault, she was just extremely busy with no support.

    For 2 breakfast and two dinners at The Den, every bite was delicious. The breakfast Benedict with smoked salmon, the perfectly done filet mignon, and the crispy potatoes were special favorites.

    Once again went to this lovely lakeside patio for dinner. The service was great, caring and very competent from all who touched our experience. We have come back multiple time, in part due to the focus on being able to have multiple vegan choices, well thought our dishes with great craft applied to them. This is a differentiator for we vegan customers as most restaurants will have minimal vegan options, and not have put in the forethought to make their vegan dishes equal to the rest of the menu in craft. The Den nails it! Thank you, Den and staff.

    Sitting out on the patio is very peaceful looking out onto the lake. The food choices are good are very tasteful. The wait staff was very attentative.

    Been going up to Whistler for many years and I gotta say our Dinner at The Den was one of the best meals I had in a long time. We had the Chateaubriand, sable fish, tomato tart , potatoes - all was prepared perfectly - just delicious. Thank you.

    Will definitely be returning! We had an amazing meal with wine, starters and desserts, and the chef even sent out a complimentary amuse buche at the beginning, which was steak tartare. Some of the food wasn’t our favourite, but other dishes were absolutely delicious and service here was impeccable. The hostesses at the front were so kind and accommodating when we wanted to move inside as the weather turned colder.

    We had today the Sunday brunch buffet ,the food selections it’s very limited no specialty salad no smoked salmon no omelettes station ,no shrimp no cooked hot items and for the prime rib roast they cut it and placed on cutting board no chef cutting meat for you ,very slow to refill food and I see chefs work so hard but not enough people working I felt bad for them ,the server barley come ask if need something or take dirty dishes ,I felt very disappointed today we Love Nita lodge but den never try it before and I was excited to hear there brunch Sunday ,may be I will try it again may be not I prefer go wild flowers and have breakfast there .

    food was great, our server was great, great view, not to loud, we were able to watch to sunset (our reso was at 7pm), we saw fish jumping out of the water, they had blankets and heaters as the evening got colder. highly recommend the tomato bocachinni tart, as well as the strawberry cheesecake

    It took a long time to be seated, but that was due to a particularly finicky couple who couldn’t be made happy no matter where the hostess put them. We were seated by a pillar; it would have been nice to have had a lake view, or be seated on the patio, but we were determined to let the hostess do her job. There was some confusion on the wine list with the changeover from whites to reds. Otherwise, there were very nice choices, and we went with glasses of the BTG special red, which were lovely. Our appetizer was a tomato-burrata tart that we shared: it was unusual and we definitely couldn’t get enough. The tomato jam was particularly delicious, and made the flavors of the heirloom cherry tomatoes sparkle. Main course was steaks: 5 oz petit filet for madame, and 8 oz sirloin for me. Both were expertly and correctly done. The only thing that took away our delight was a chimichurri sauce slathered over the top: it didn’t really seem to go with the rest of the meal, which included char-roasted root vegetables (carrots and beets) that were exceptionally flavorful, and our shared side of charred smashed potatoes, which were chunk miniature potatoes char-roasted in a cast iron skillet and wonderfully seasoned. Dessert was a shared apple-rhubarb crumble with crème fraiche ice cream accented with cinnamon. We loved it! Service was somewhat slow, but allowed us to linger guilt-free. We will return.

    I did not look for the time of breakfast, arrived at our reserved time of 10:45am, no one mentioned the cut off for the bottomless benny's. We did nto get seated and served until about 11:00, took about 10 minutes to get our drinks, and our food came at around 11:20, at 11:29 we were refused seconds as the kitchen didn't want to do more, so that was it. Left hungry, went to another restaraunt to finsih eating. They did give me 20% off, and the bill was still 114$, not worth it IMO. Someone should have advised it was almost over, or ask us if we wanted 2nds. Who spends 28$ for bottomless bennies and only eats one? Zero flexibiltiy. Server was decent, but it looked like they all had too many tables and service was a bit slow IMO. For what this places sells itself as I dont see the value in it and will not be going back.

    Food was well executed. Very good wine list. Service was a bit uneven… our server was excellent but the hostess was inexperienced/slow and there was unusually long wait between starters and mains. Chef needs to put a bit more thought into dinnerware/plating… sauce/veg/accoutrements to the main courses were hard to access from those awkward bowl-like pieces!

    Setting is fantastic — lakeside — and service was very good. Weak link is the food, which was mixed in taste and execution (the eggplant main was not very good, and one of our hot dishes came cold). For the prices charged, the food and execution really should be excellent.

    We really enjoyed sitting out on the patio for dinner by lake Nita enjoying some of Whistler’s beautiful scenery. Very pretty and quiet atmosphere for dinner. The service was great. We enjoyed an excellent salmon dinner, and I really loved my margarita!

    The Den is hands down one of the best restaurants I have ever been to in Whistler. You are surrounded by beautiful lodge and right on Nita lake making sunset dinner views unforgettable. Our server Danny did a fantastic job ensuring we were satisfied and our food came in a timely fashion. Our meals were absolutely incredible: 8oz tenderloin and 16oz rib eye, cooked to perfection paired perfectly with seasonal vegetables and a great sauce. I would definitely be coming here again in the future and recommend it to anyone who wants a dining experience they will never forget

    Very nice restaurant in a beautiful setting, especially if you sit outside. The menu is small but all the dishes are tasty and the kitchen is able to customize to your liking, lake front view is very special. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. We ate here twice during our stay in Whistler

    We had an exceptional dining experience at The Den. Our waiter and Randy were both attentive and personable. They really made our experience memorable. My fiancé and I both had the steaks with prawns. The steak was cooked to perfection, and the crispy smashed potatoes were to die for. We will definitely be back again and highly recommend others dine here!

    My sons declared the fried chicken was the best they had had in their lifetime. My grandson insisted the bacon was the best he had ever had in his lifetime ( all four years). This was the way our meal went: with pleasant surprises found on the brunch buffet and oversized cappuccinos. While the service was amazing, two of us ordered off the menu and not the buffet, which led to a big delay in our food arriving. We sat on the patio by the lake. It was pleasant but we were sitting at basic plastic patio tables, so nothing elegant about the setting. For the prices charges they could dress it up a little. Alas, everyone is short of staff these days so we are grateful for what we can find.

    I feel like the polish has come off of Nita Lake Lodge. What used to be a wow dining event has turned into a that was nice experience. The food was still excellent but the level of service and general appearance has dropped.
