Paii at The House on Sathorn - W Bangkok
Taking its name from the Thai word ‘Paii', which means to paddle, the new restaurant presents the best of local and imported seafood while honouring the legacy of the founder of The House on Sathorn, Luang Sathorn Rajayutka, who created Sathorn Canal.
Highlights include the local Giant River Prawn, char-grilled and served with “choo chee” curry sauce; the French Razor Clams, flambéed table-side with house-made XO sauce; and the French Turbot, stuffed with lemongrass, shallots and kaffir lime leaves and baked in a thick Thai herb salt crust. Diners will not want to miss the Giant Crab Fried Rice, made with organic jasmine rice from Nakhon Pathom. The plate is designed for sharing and topped with no less than half a kilo of freshly steamed Surat Thani mud crab meat.
Outstanding as always, thank you.
Creative to the max! Each and every dish represents a story, interesting and fun! Delicious and great for special accasion. Highly recommended!
I got a very wonderful dining experience with my husband in this restaurant. Staff is very friendly and professional. The food is exquisite and delicious. I will definitely recommend this restaurant to my friends.
the Best！！ I've recommended to most of friends of mine 。all dish taste great and mixed as it goes"feeding your mind and soul".delicious ！！！
Tried their full tasting menu, a total of 13 courses. Got a blow my mind experience. Staff are friendly, helpful and most important is they knew every dish very well. Completely change on what I know about Turkish food.
We travel from the Philippines to Bangkok to celebrate a birthday in this restaurant. The service was kind and they make a real special effort for the birthday boy. The food is outstanding. Very good quality for the money. I would definitely come back
Phantastic food, not at all what you would expect. The best turkish food I ever had!! A must try!
HOS keeps getting better every time I go. Outstanding quality of ingredients and spectacular food. I never miss a meal here when I am in Bangkok
This is my second time there. Different menu and surprise again. Good and friendly staffs. I will go again.
Amazing food, great Chef and staff who toke time to explain all the dishes and make us feel at home. Great place, highly recommended. Can't wait to go back
It was my birthday celebration and They have prepared an amazing surprise including greetings and a small cake, with a kind card signed for all. The food is wondef and the old renewed house... exotique!
Exceptional restaurant. One of my favourite meals the last time I was in Bangkok and couldn’t wait to get back. The quality of ingredients and their execution make for a meal you will never forget.
Food was great, every dish was suprising us as the taste was out of our expectation. Turkish meal is kind of heavier taste but the quality is really good!
It's an unforgettable experience to try out the super delicious tasting Turkish cuisine. Relaxing environment with friendly staff.
Coaching staff during the meal serving time should be avoid; it was a bit disturbing.
Delicious dinner experience in BKK，the house is so pretty，I love this place!
Nice place and good atmosphere
Upon seeing the stunning exterior you know you are in for a memorable culinary experience. But I had no clue that the food would outdo the stunning restaurant ambience. Every course was beyond my expectations. An incredibly lovely staff and team. Blew my expectations out of the water. I cannot wait to go back and was so sad I ate there on my last night in Bangkok otherwise would have gone back the next day. Truth be told Exceptional is a word that does not do the food justice. The cocktails especially the Asian Negroni and the Flying Pig were top notch as well. Thank you for a fantastic evening.
We have a 8:30 booking, we are running little bit late and when we arrived already welcome by the warm staff smile, the service is very good, and the food is an amazing... must come back again every time in Bangkok
The food is delicious and very rich. Special dishes inspired by the Chef's origin Turkey. However, we were the only ones that evening. They charge you THB 450 for ordinary mineral water.
Excellent food! Every dish was so well thought out and beautifully put together. And amazing presensation Great ambience and really good bar!
I reallycan recommand this restaurant. The chef is a creative guy that comes out Turkey and he combines his roots with a french touch. Toprecommanded
Also the winelist is good
Place for young and beautiful people
Very good service. The food is excellent. Only that some menus are too cheesy for me. Overall is great.
Amazing experience at the Michelin-like level. Delicious, innovative food with excellent service. It was our anniversary and the staff went above and beyond to make us feel well cared for.
A very memorable experience at the dining room, nice and helpful staffs, good presentation on the food and drinks. Definitely will come back again :)
so many flavours in harmony but each flavour has own beautiful voice.
real enjoy it was.
The tasting menu was an absolute delight, oozing if creativity
Attentive and friendly service, great cocktails
Amazing architectural setting
The restaurant was so cold that my date had to borrow a scarf. The waiter tried to force us to choose from a 7 course Turkish menu or 9 courses of same. One menu was 2,800 baht, the other north of 3,000 baht. When I stated that my date and I could not handle so many courses they reluctantly produced an a la carte menu. I chose lamb which took 20 minutes to prepare. It was served raw , with blood on my plate. Did it take 20 minutes to defrost? They offerred to cook it again but I gave up and went home without supper. Staff were friendly but I have never had such a bad dining experience. I won't be back. I will reproduce this review on Trip Advisor to warn others not to dine here. My review of Tables has had 340 views.
Could not fault, food - amazing, service - excellent.
Meet the chef - great to have the contact
First Class Venue!
Great for foodies who can understand and appreciate the hours of preparation in many of these dishes, and the years of technical skills required. For non foodies the experience will be neutral, wanting more food and less, what appears on the surface, to be showmanship. Half the table loved the experience, half wanted to eat an hour later, these were the non foodies. I am a foodie. My critique must include the downside of this expensive meal. For vegetarian the main course is skipped while you sit and watch the meat eaters. There was no information why. My friend pointed out the vegetarian course prior had an extra dumpling. Not acceptable. The dining seemed a bit too informal, next to a bar setting with a small space between bar sitters and our table, which was not unique to us, all tables were like this. I wanted something better, more formal, and in a large house like this another option should have been used. Staff were mostly attentive, but frequently missed water refills and small service issues. Normally not a problem, but the added service charge added up to a tip of 1300 baht for service equal to about 500 baht. For special occasions with foodie friends, awesome, with limitations. I enjoyed it, but once is the sample size I need, and find to reason to be a repeat customer.
Very tasty menu will full of varieties with outstanding service and friendly Chef.
