Come and check out our signature fish & chips and chicken tikka masala, along side our other dishes, many of which have been created in-house from scratch by our talented Head Chef, Nate.

We have a sunny patio for those of you who prefer to be outside in the summer months, two professional dart boards, and live football (soccer) is often shown on our TVs.

Nice authentic pub surroundings with great staff and some interesting beers. - Fersty Ferret is really good and I doubt you could get it anywhere else in town. - Tried the Sunday Roast Dinner special but ours was a bit tough.

Service was very good, food was mixed amongst the four of us. I had bangers and mash which was a bit salty but overall delicous. My wife had wings which were way over done, unfortunately. Nice place for catching up with friends over a beer!

Some great beer on tap (e.g. Firsty Ferret) … at reasonable prices and on special for Friday night (Kilkenny and Guinness). Good pub atmosphere. Really great friendly service. Food we had (fish n chips) was average but lots of choice on menu.

a perfect table, not too loud to catch up for we four.The kitchen was very attentive to allergy requirements. The wings were just a little slow in arriving (not a problem) but we were told that, because of the slight delay, were complimentary. Wonderful service, food was mostly interesting and cooked to perfection. We had a great night and will be back.

We tried the Dorset as we were looking for an English style pub. We were not disappointed. The food was amazing, the service was amazing. We loved it and will go back for sure. Please give it a try, you won't be disappointed.

Overall it was AMAZING!!!!!! My only suggestion would be to try and adjust a food order. I wanted to have hot parm wings but i was immediately told there were non. A slight adjustment couldve fulfilled a craving :) Otherwise!!!!! Five stars allllll around

We normally enjoy the fish and chips but not so much on this visit. The fish was ok but the chips were soggy and dark brown. They looked like they had been cooked several times over. The plate size was also smaller I think it was to make it look like you were getting more food.

The food was ok. I had the fish n chips, wife had the curry eggplant. Fish was moist and flavourful but the batter was soggy and subpar. Wife said the curry was really good! We both had sticky toffee pudding which was some of the worst I’ve ever had! Neither of us finished it. It did not come out as pictured on the internet which is a shame because the one under the photos looked amazing! But we are not put off, may try again in the future.

We were very pleased with the food and service. Both meals were freshly cooked, served piping hot, plated nicely and delicious. Happy to recommend this pub for 'far better than pub grade' food and ambiance.

This place came up on my open table a few times with good reviews so we gave it a try. Really nice atmosphere inside and noise level was good for talking (no one had to yell) I’m sure that’s different at night or when a game is on. We tried the battered mushrooms to start and they were excellent, only complaint was the ranch dressing was to thin and ran right off the mushrooms. Main courses were okay, we had a burger, eggplant curry, Yorkshire beef and full English breakfast. Food wasn’t hot when it arrived, bacon was way under cooked and same thin ranch dressing for the salad. Food was good but didn’t wow us. Not sure if we would go back again

Food as always so tasty !! We had fish n chips , the pea and smoked salmon salad, Dorset burger and Beef Dippers !!! We love sitting in the booths in the mock up train carriage nice and quiet for my sensory kids ! Staff are always so welcoming and friendly!

Our sever Jay was the best. Fish and chip was over cooked. Steaks were not cooked to there liking. The wings were the best for what was ordered. The plates are so small that when you cut whatever you are eating, the other food on your plate falls off.

We were supposed to do NYE here for the ‘British countdown’ but couldn’t attend last minute as our child was suddenly ill. Management was very good about offering us a gift card in the amount so we could come back. We decided to give it a try and unfortunately, we we’re severely underwhelmed. The good: Staff was friendly, the atmosphere & decor was good and our ‘Dark & Stormy’ cocktails were delicious. The bad: Our server was not attentive and we had to get up ourselves to ask the bartender for a refill, prices & subpar food. Food - We ordered with the purpose to share the Scotch eggs, Yorkshire puddings filled with prime rib/horseradish sauce and the beer battered mushrooms. A few mins later our waitress came back to let us know scotch eggs are sold out. Bummer! So when I asked her about the other menu items to replace- specifically the wings she advised for one order of $18.95 it would be 1lb of wings. We chose two flavours and gave them a go. Fifteen mins later and SEVEN wings arrived. The lemon pepper {3} had almost no flavor, yet the honey hot {4} was coated in a lovely sauce. The Yorkies came with an au jus for dipping, had good flavour and light fluffy crust. However much smaller serving than anticipated and most “handhelds” for this price would include a side. Not this place! Both my husband and I agreed that the price of food in this place is far too high, and the quality isn’t there either. 7 wings for $18.95, 2 small Yorkshire puddings with NO included sides was $21.95 {to add fries it’s another $4} and the beer battered mushrooms were $13.95. I didn’t like the mushrooms, again no flavour and just too greasy. We were expecting traditional pub fare, nothing fancy but this place was sadly a disappointment. When it came to clearing up the bill our waitress had never seen a gift card before as it took her literally 7 tries to process it, and had to walk away several times to get it sorted. Needless to say, we won’t be back.

We are sorry that you had a poor experience. Our Yorkshire puddings do include a side but it appears that on this occasion your server may have been mistaken. We would have happily refunded or made it right had it been brought to a managers attention at the time. The wings are portioned to approx. 1 pound, they are larger than typical pub wings, sourced locally from Hutterite chickens; 7 wings usually meet or exceed 1lb. Thank you for your comments, we will use them as training points.

Brought elderly parents for Prime Rib, which was excellent.They found the restaurant too cold temperature wise( we were by the windows which may be why) The food arrived barely warm, and in very short order you are eating cold food. Service and food both very good . Just warm things up a little please.

Our reservation was made and confirmed. When we arrived at the restaurant we were greeted by a sign that informed us that it was booked for a private function, which the staff inside confirmed. Apparently they didn't notify you not to take reservations for that evening. We went to Swiss Chalet instead. Their roast beef dinner was excellent. We dined at the Dorset a couple of weeks ago and were happy with our experience. That's why we decided to make a reservation to eat there again.

Reunion with an old friend, so we both enjoyed being back in one of Calgary's best overall restaurant. Lots of memories, but current refurbishing and style...just fantastic!! Highly recommended!!

We ate here for a family pre-christmas get together - 8 people. The food was really good overall. Fish and chip portion (pan fried option) was super skimpy on the fish (appeared that half of the piece disappeared on the way out), made the price seem very high. We were also sat right between the two washrooms, I will never understand why this is an option - I feel like a Christmas tree goes here, not people. Or a last spot to sit, not the first. Service fantastic. Overall experience was great and I hope this restaurant does well!

It was my first visit to The Dorset to watch an England World Cup game. I moved here 4 years ago from England and have really been missing home comforts. The Dorset felt like a real British pub and the full English breakfast was authentic. Will definitely be going back again!
