I hadn't been to The Eagle for a while, and I was really glad to be back! My pork sandwich was amazing, and my son had the drumsticks which he enjoyed. We both had spoonbread too, which was awesome. A couple of drinks rounded out the meal; I believe they were raspberry lemonade with vodka, very refreshing.

Our server was fantastic, we absolutely loved her. Food was amazing and came out really quickly. I got a harvest salad and the sweet potatoes. I will be talking about those sweet potatoes forever, so good.

Really disappointed in the chicken. The chicken skin was flabby and not crunchy like it used to be. Hush puppies were the star of the night!!!

Food and ambience were great. Server was not that friendly. I got the impression they were irritated because I asked to move away from the open door near the patio. It was a little chilly and Servers were constantly walking by to serve customers on the patio.

Our waitress was extremely busy working outside and indoor and she was fabulous, she kept our drinks filled and our tables cleared and the food was outstanding as always

It's pretty obvious why the food has won awards in the Cincinnati market - especially that Mac n' Cheese! We went for an early dinner on a Wednesday, so it was far from peak hours. A nice quiet patio was available outside, but we chose to sit inside. Our waitress was great, making recommendations (which we took her up on) and checking on us regularly. The food came out quickly and was SUPURB! White meat chicken, Mac n' Cheese, greens, cornbread, biscuits.. each were (at least) very good, with the Mac n' Cheese ruining all other Mac n' Cheeses for us.. forever! Unfortunately, we live about 75 minutes away, or we'd eat there weekly.

Always an amazing meal!!! Can’t wait till there’s one up closer to the North area again-we frequented the take out from Maplewoods kitchen ALOT and miss the convenience!!!

It makes me sad to write this… I haven’t been here in 4 years. It definitely was not as good as it used to be. The chicken was still good so that’s a plus…even though I ordered all white and received all dark. Good thing my husband was happy to switch so I didn’t have to wait for corrected order. The spoonbread was way too dense and barely warm. The grits used to be really creamy and last night were like sticky white rice and barely warm. Sweet potatoes were good but like the spoonbread and grits they were not warm enough. My husband did say the collard greens were good…didn’t ask about the temperature. As far as the atmosphere. Incredibly loud! We were in a booth and could barely hear each other. I definitely think the 130.00 (before tip)we spent last night was not worth the money. Again, this is not the review I wanted to write

Very busy for a Monday night. I made reservations 3-4 days prior and we were put by the door. Every Uber eats driver stood right next to us while we were trying to enjoy our dinner, so they can do better with that arrangement. Food is excellent but spicy and our server was overwhelmed (short staffed) and beverages were not refilled until we were nearly finished. They may want to think about putting water carafes on the table, but then again we weren’t drinking alcohol so that may explain slow service too.

Food was fabulous as always - the seating was so so. We had a table about 1.5 feet from the hostess stand. Was not a fan. I felt like I knew everyone’s names and reservation times and the reason they were late (parking). Overall service was decent. Would rather not sit so close to the front door and host next time.

We had an incident with our food taking a rather long time to come out. The staff was excellent in making sure we were taken care of and making up for the delay in our food. They were wonderful!

We don’t eat fried chicken but we were happy with the small Cobb salad and a very good grilled cheese (with apple slices and apricot jam) which is what drew me. Wait service was excellent (Brandon).

I found the food to be average. The service was good but our waitress was very animated and very familiar and very loud. I had the pulled pork so I can’t review the fried chicken which they are known for. The greens were so-so but the spoon bread was amazing. Overall, the dinner consisted of highs and lows.

We love The Eagle - in fact, we drive down from Dayton just to have lunch! The food is delicious, and always consistent. We had Andrew as a server on this visit, and he did a great job!

Good food and service. We ordered biscuits, which were rock hard. Whoever plated these knew they were hard and should have tossed them. When we told our waiter, he brought out fresh biscuits, which were tender and yummy.

My husband and I were a little turned off by the hostess actively texting and seemed annoyed when we approached for our reservation. However, everything after getting seated was amazing as usual! The food, the drinks, delicious!

Great food- modern update to traditional southern food. Excellent staff- one of our party got lost after parking. Staff extremely helpful in guiding him to the restaurant. Our server, Mia, was upbeat and very understanding about our delay in ordering. Only complaint was that it was too noisy. Very reasonable prices. Would definitely recommend
