Some dishes were overpriced as compared to other places that the food was just as good. The booth’s were cramped and the atmosphere of the restaurant was dark. The mixed drinks were pricey. The beer was reasonable. A bit overpriced overall.

The Earle is our favorite restaurant in Ann Arbor. The service is impeccable. A staff member even brought a bowl of ice water for our dog - without our asking. The wine list is just amazing.

Booked The Earle for my sweetie’s birthday. Just the two of us. Haven’t been there for several years. But it was as great as I remember. Fantastic food and wine but service was a little on the slow side. Arrived slightly after 5 & weren’t able to leave until after 8. No real complaints, but service was not as attentive as I remembered. Fabulous food more than made up for it!

Loved everything about it. Scallops for me, duck breast for my wife. Very tasty. Little disappointed in the lack of flavor in the French onion soup (since it is a French restaurant). We’ll skip it next time but there will definitely be a next time.

Not the experience I’d expected! Dined inside in a wine like cellar. Service was good just not outstanding…food was okay! The best part was the Brussels sprouts and carrots! Selection of wine by the glass was limited! By the bottle was better!

The food was very disappointing. The mixed drink cocktails were expensive ($16). The Crab Cakes Appetizer ($16) didn't taste very good (my wife loves crab cakes and almost always orders them when we go out to dinner, so she's somewhat of an expert) and the Beef Tenderloin was tasteless ($45 entree).

We hadn't been to The Earle in years. We each loved our meal, and our dessert. The service was excellent. The bill was very reasonable for what we ordered. We will definitely return when we are looking for an excellent meal in a wonderful ambiance.

Overall fine experience. Crab cake appetizer was smaller than I remember, and a little dry. Duck and veal entrees were very good. The wine steward was very helpful and the wine list remains impressive. Our waiter was efficient, but seemed put out all night, a bit of a downer.

We ate outside and it was lovely until it started to lightly drizzle. Before we knew it, the staff was there putting up umbrellas. Turned out they were barely needed - but a neat move. We have the salmon in puffed pastry. Delicious as always. Our server was right on top of things. We were celebrating a birthday and it was nice to see the return of the birthday gift certificates.

Ah, The Earle is a pearl. Kind of old school and hidden away with a speakeasy vibe, live music, food served perfectly cooked and to temperature. Attentive service - a wonderful experience all around.

We asked to be seated outside, but when we arrived it began to rain. Our waiter was wonderful and set up a large umbrella for us to stay relatively dry. The food was wonderful and we would definitely recommend it!

The Earle never disappoints. I have been going there for 40 years and the quality is always 100%. Our dinners were so tasty and satisfying. Plus the live jazz band sounded awesome. If you have never eaten at the Earle, I suggest you go ASAP!
