Good location on this remodelled restaurant, excellent friendly staff but the worst grilled veg sandwich I have ever had. Was suppose to be a panini but came with “white crust on bread” grilled with mussey Vegatables And absolutely no seasoning whatsoever. Sent it back to the kitchen….need to tell customers you have no proper Buns especially when you are charging $22 for a sandwich. Get trained kitchen staff. Niagara has the best culinary training school in the country! Just not good enough

Starter of Fr onion soup was lacking in beef flavor, and onions cb sauteed longer for more depth of flavor. My rigatoni bolognese was flavorful, including atypical flavor add-ins I'd guess were clove and possibly cinnamon, similar to sauce used for pastitsio. Very impressed at just how hot this entree remained, right until part of the generous portion was boxed for home. Hubby had the seafood linguine evening special, full of mussels, calamari, etc. Very enjoyable. Dessert was a lemon creme brulee. Overall, a wonderful night out in NOTL.

We were not allowed to share an appetizer with drinks. We were asked to order another appetizer or pay a $5 fee for sharing an appetizer. I thought that was weird. Our plan was to have bunch of drinks & not ruin it with too much food, but we ended up getting another appetizer and then headed out to another place to enjoy bunch of drinks.

The food was excellent--there were 5 of us and we ordered 4 different dishes and enjoyed them all. The two of us who ordered salmon were particularly delighted by our meal. The waiter was excellent, very attentive but not hovering. The one oddity was that the restaurant charged $4.25 for a diet cola--high but not outrageous--and then charged $4.25 again for a refill. Given the 8 oz glass and the amount of ice, there could not have been more than 6 oz of cola in either glass so the restaurant was making a killing even if the refill had been free. The wine choices were very good for a relatively small restaurant and the servings ample without being too much to eat. We would definitely eat there again if we visited Niagara on the Lake.

We enjoyed very attentive service. It was my first time there with mom and aunt as I looked it up to see the ratings and menu. We were impressed by the high quality and generous servings of food, onion soup and mussels, fish and chips and the epi burger. The many features were inventive and sounded appetizing. Walking by we noticed delectable desserts but we had no room after the satisfying meal. Parking behind the restaurant was a bonus as mom uses a walker. They had outdoor patio, a nice option in the glorious summer on Niagara on the lake.

This was a great find on our trip. We sat outside on the patio and had a wonderful evening. Food was fantastic and our server was wonderful. Definitely will go back and recommend to others.

The overall experience was OK but the food was not up to our expectations. The fish filet in the fish and chips platter was too oily, the mussels sauce was less than average, the bolognese sauce in the pasta was too sour, and the fries tasted weird, like they were fried in overused oil. Will not return.

Food & service excellent. Keeping 2 doors open for the cold wind to blow through was dreadful! The cappuccino I ordered was no such thing - no frothy milk on top and served in a double espresso cup (tiny). I was cheated!! And to be charged $5.95 for that? In any other restaurant that is the charge for a large size, and they are 3-4 times the size than Epicurean's, while regular (smaller) size is around $4.50, and that one is still much larger than I was served. The bartender does not know how to make it.

Beautiful atmosphere, good food and exceptional service. Most of our group had pasta dishes and pasta and risotto specials as well as crabcakes and calamari. The staff could not have been more attentive - they really made the night for us. They had a large group coming in and everyone informed us so that we were not surprised, which we appreciated. It caused no issues for us though. It was our best meal of the weekend.

From NOTL, love going to the Epicurean! Go there for many occasions and refer others. One of a few places in town where you can sit and feel in a restaurant and not a bistro - a lot of other places are bistros and have small tables and chairs, not comfortable. Here you have comfortable seating and lots of room. The food is great, nice wine list and people are very pleasant.

Nice surprise, a culinary treasure in Niagara-on-the-Lake. Staff members are friendly and engaged but not overly so. Menu is solid, with great daily specials. The chef did a fabulous job with one of the daily specials - a whole fish prepared so well, with rice and lovely veggies. Very good quality food at moderate prices.

We dined at Epicurean for the first time this past weekend while on a weekend away in NOTL. I cannot say enough good things! The food, the atmosphere, the service - all 5 stars! We got chatting with the owner who shared that one of the pasta sauces is a family recipe that has been passed down. Such a lovely story! The sauce was unreal and made with love. You will not be disappointed!

Our compliments to the chefs! The sea bass is very close to the BEST meal I've ever experienced! The flavours and item combination was outstanding ! There was one noisy group due to it being New Year's Eve. However normally when we go the noise level is fine. Alicia took great care of us....keeps us coming back every time we visit the Niagara region.
