    Every time somebody asks me where to eat I always tell them The Fat Lamb. Why? Because chef doesn’t overdue his menu with fancy ingredients, or try to go crazy on the dish. He does simple dishes perfectly, and that makes all the difference.

    Our server was knowledgeable, friendly and attentive. The restaurant need to use some sound suppression because it’s difficult to have a conversation without nearly shouting, which doesn’t contribute to the relaxed vibe of the place.

    First time eating in the restaurant (we’ve gotten takeout multiple times) and couldn’t be happier with the experience. Amazing food, great service and the bartender made us the best bourbon cocktails we’ve had in a long time. The vibe was also wonderful - chill but classy and not at all pretentious for how good the food is. Can’t wait to go back and try everything.

    The service was superb. Our server, Madie was very attentive, answered our questions and offered suggestions on menu items. We loved the whipped feta and pita as well as our entrees , lamb chops and gnocchi and shrooms. This was an overall lovely experience for our first visit to Louisville.

    This was our second time dining with the Fat Lamb. Our group of four got drinks, two Bramble Betty’s, an Old Fashioned and a beer on tap. The bartender was quick, and stayed to make sure the mixed drinks were to everyone’s liking. We then got two appetizers, the Moroccan Spiced Lamb Meatballs and the Baked Goat Cheese with Pita. The meatballs comes with two good size meatballs that are easily split. Unfortunately, the meatballs were dry and not our favorite. We were recommended to order an extra pita serving since the Baked Goat Cheese comes with only three slices of pita. I think that others would be fine with sharing the original serving, but we were grateful for the extra bread as we fought over the gooey cheese left in the corners of the pan. This was a huge hit! For entrees our group ordered the Smashed Double Cheeseburger, Veal & Bacon Bolognese, Curry Spiced Salmon, and the Garlic & Herb Marinated Lamb Chops. Everything was cooked well and everyone enjoyed their meal. The Bolognese and Burger were devoured and the plates completely cleaned, while the Salmon dish was left with quite a bit of Chana Masala left since the Salmon seemed the be swimming in it. The Lamb was the only member to take a doggy bag home, since the portion is extremely generous. Last we ordered two portions of the Nutella Mousse, splitting between couples. The portion was ample enough for two and I could comfortably split it between three. This was divine, creamy mousse with whipped cream between scoops. Again, we scraped the plates clean. My husband and I ordered the beer, one of the Bramble Betty’s, the Burger, Lamb, and split everything else. Our total bill came to $152.11. Based on the amount of food and the experience, I believe it was a good value. We will be back!

    My wife and I went there for our anniversary dinner. Wanted a location that was casual with great food and service. The Fat Lamb did not disappoint! Food was incredible, service was fantastic. We will return.

    The beet, goat cheese arugula salad was a great start to the meal, split the short ribs entrees with my friend. The short ribs was tender, polenta creamy and the chili crisp really gave the dish a spicy note. Our server Bella was friendly and very attentive.

    We have visited The Fat Lamb many times, and we’ve never been disappointed. The food, drinks and service were excellent. We particularly enjoyed the goat cheese appetizer, the Greek salad and the lamb meatballs. And while this definitely isn’t a “burger restaurant”, they arguably make the best cheeseburger in Louisville! We highly recommend TFL.

    Amazing! Food, service- everything. 10/10 recommend. Only 4 star is because it was a bit hot inside— however it’s HOT outside so I wasn’t surprised. Loved every second. Order the cocktails!

    The food was delicious. The baked goat cheese is a must and it was served with tbe sifted pita bread. We ordered the mahi mahi and the crab and crawfish cakes. Both meals delicious. The combination of spices was perfect. The house cocktail was awesome. You could definitely taste the bourbon in it. The server was very attentive and pleasant. We'd definitely go there again. It was perfect for a date night.

    We were there to celebrate a birthday and The Fat Lamb did not let us down. The service was spot on and the food was fantastic. None of our party had a complaint. My pork chop saltibucco was done perfectly and the polenta was excellent. This was not our first visit and we'll definitely be back.

    First time there and we we impressed. I had the pork chop ....excellent. My wife had the short ribs ... also excellent. For appetizer we had the whipped feta cheese with warm pita ... again excellent. Joe was our server, he was knowledgeable and attentive. We close out with the blonde brownie ...well... yes we loved it and had to take most of it home. We will be back. Dr. Bob Walsh

    Fantastic meal with top notch service. Had fabulous pairing recommendations from our server and the bartender. Chef came to our table twice inquiring about our meal, so you can tell everyone cares about the customer experience. My favorite was the cannoli/china china pairing with the liqueur bringing out the orange zest and cherries in the ricotta cream. Absolutely delicious.
